This riad is beautiful, utterly stunning. From the hand-painted doors to the plants and ornaments, it was one of the most beautiful places I've stayed. Ahmed and his team were so kind, thoughtful and helpful. Ahmed helped us book dinner reservations (as our Tunisian SIMs wouldn't let us call to book), he upgraded us to the nicest room in the riad before we arrived, and bought us a souvenir. We felt properly looked after and are very grateful. The breakfast is delicious and I hope to be back very soon.

Nothing! It was all perfect!

Wonderful, attentive staff, Ahmed and the beautiful lady that cooked our breakfast every morning (apologies for not asking her name) made our stay in Tunis an unforgettable experience. This traditional house is located just a few minutes walk from the souks, main mosque and other points of interest. It is beautifully decorated and very well taken care of. We loved the courtyard area and enjoyed our breakfast there every day. We were offered a variety of items, including an omelet, yogurt, freshly baked bread, pastries, fruit platter, juice, coffee and tea. Our room was spacious for two people, with a comfortable bed, desk/chair, dresser, kettle including teas and bottled water. The bathroom was a good size and clean. Thanks to Ahmed's suggestion, he called to get us reservations, and we were able to dine at a restaurant in the medina called Essaraya. It was a delightful experience, with the best meal we had while in Tunis (even better than Dar El Jeld), along with great service and traditional music. They even provided a gentleman that escorted us back to our hotel, as walking in the medina at night can be a little difficult to find your way. We highly recommend a stay at this hotel, we will surely be back

The location within the medina is excellent but the staff, especially Ahmed, is amazing! This was a family home that has been recreated into a three bedroom boutique stay. The facility is lovely with the bedrooms located on the second floor and the sitting/eating areas on the main level. Ahmed was extremely helpful in organizing transportation to and from the airport and answered all of the questions that I had during my several day stay in Tunis. Electric water kettles and tea fixings are available in the rooms. The bathroom attached to my room was large and open and there was good water pressure in the shower. A safe is also available in each room. A lovely breakfast is served each morning in the central living area and included fresh baked bread, fresh squeezed juices, eggs and vegetables. Two sets of locked doors offer security to the interior. One is close to ATMs, small little stores and all of the sights within the medina.

With the wonderful location with the medina comes the daily street noise. My bedroom was directly over the street, so it was a bit noisy until late in the evening. People begin moving around outside pretty early in the morning. The mattress was too firm for me, but I have noticed that firm mattresses are common in the region of North Africa.

El Patio is in a fantastic location but still remains quiet and local. The guesthouse is stunning, a calm oasis and feels warm and welcoming. The staff Ahmed and the woman cooking were so kind, really welcoming and helpful and just maintained a lovely energy in the guesthouse. The breakfasts were home cooked and delicious! Sometimes enough to keep me going through lunch! I hope to visit again and will recommend to anyone coming to Tunis.

My bathroom was a little smelly on arrival but I put it down to the drainage. It was completely clean but the drain smell was present and probably something out of the hotels control but maybe incense would help!

We were staying in this old and very traditionally decorated house. The decorator paid attention to the tiniest details to create this real beauty! The owner selected such stuff to give it warm, Arabic, welcoming soul! Ahmed, thank you very much to you and the lady in the kitchen that made our stay so pleasant.

For those who love North African cities, this accommodation is great. It sits in the old medina, near historic landmarks, and is furnished in a matching Maghrebi style. The long-stay room was comfortable and large enough for our six-night stay. The staff, Daly, Ahmad, and Hasna, were very kind. They spoke English, French, and Arabic, which made communication easy. If we return to Tunis, we will stay here again.

The room was great, but the showerhead could use replacing.

The location was great in the center of Medina. It was walkable to everything. The staff is very friendly, The rooms are beautiful, and breakfast is big

The property is hard to find. You really need a driver to pick you up from the airport.. but the cost is 4 times what a normal taxi would be. The airport ride should be about $14 dinars, but if you book it from this site or with the hotel, it is 60 dinars, and you still end up walking to the hotel from the taxi stop.. but the driver walks with you. (But he doesn't help with bags.) The streets are cobblestone, so its rickeky rolling the bags

With its traditional structure that seems to have been traced back in history, with high-quality antiques, furniture, and abundant plants, this carefully decorated house allows you to quietly savor Tunis' old culture. There are attractions and a large traditional market nearby, so you can explore it every evening for fun. The people in the vicinity are also very friendly to foreigners. Breakfast is carefully prepared so you can eat your fill, and you can climb up the secret ladder to watch the sunset from the rooftop. The manager does his best to provide travel information and is kind and friendly especially to those who travel alone, so they are comfortable and not bored.
