The pool area was fantastic, we had to drag our little girl away after 3 hours swimming (she's only 2!) Staff were very friendly and accommodating, communication, check-in was a breeze. Good food just 4 minutes away, a park not 100m from the eateries, was good for the little one to play while we waited for food, there is a Coles 4 minutes drive away, which worked well as we were staying in a self-contained cabin. It is a very clean holiday park, I didn't come across as much as a piece of plastic or cigarette butt when I walked around it. Very family orientated,would highly recommend

The Putt Putt had nature debris all over it, so would have had to clean it ourselves if we were to play a game, which is what stopped us. There are no patrols at night to ensure people are adhering to the 10pm-8am quiet time. When we arrived i noticed that the fishing pier had partially collapsed at the end and no warning / safety signs had been put in place. All that being said, other than the fishing pier, these are extremely punative displeasures. Overall, it's a great place to stay, our little family definitely will be staying again in the near future:)

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the park, the pool was great the jumping pillow was great and the little ones caught fish off the wharf thats was also great

I really didnt like getting a sea view with 100 different caravans in the way of it. And the actual cabin was clean but dusty under the beds and the quilts were not clean and smelt like they have never been washed..... the couch had a stain on it looked weird... and found crumbs under the cushions. So clean but not deeply cleaned.

Facilities were great, tennis court, table tennis and the pool is fantastic! We were so lucky getting a pool side cabin, directly across from the pool and it's great value for money, with spa included in our room.

The shower head could use an upgrade if I'm being picky. There were some very loud obnoxious guests nearby and taking over the pool until late at night but the staff were lovely dealing with it and addressing the concerns the next day

It’s wasn’t really a dislike but I arrived after dark and finishing my cabin read very hard as it was absolutely pitch black. Could do with some more appliances IE Air fryer (no oven) electric fry pan would be good and a few more utensils. I made it work but they would have been nice to have.

Close to the water, great view walking near the water edge. The outdoor pool looked nice, but it was too cold to swim in the pool .We used the tennis court and the kids jumping pillow with a 7 yo he would like to return. Stayed longer and played tennis,

We had a nearby family keep us up with a child crying early in the morning. The reception was understanding when we checked out late,( as it was also weekday . )

The ability to sit together as a group after a day out rather than retiring to individual cabins/rooms. Well appointed house with all the necessary items required for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and reacted immediately to any problems. Definitely will recommend this place to friends.

Kitchen floor was a little spongy (possible joist/bearer failure). Outdoor toilet not working.

Facilities are good and location is great, cabin was comfortable enough and a good size for our family. The park is very peaceful and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The mattresses on the bunk beds are quiet hard and noisy, as a result they we're uncomfortable to sleep on. Cabin was clean and tidy but could use a good spring clean and some windows need locks replaced as they were unable to be locked/secured when we were not in our cabin.

The Koala House is a great option for a family gathering, with plenty of room for big dinners but also for everyone to have space to do their own thing. The Koala House felt suitably seperate from the rest of Koala Shores, but with easy access to enjoy the facilities where wanted.

We were upgraded from a garden villa to a bush villa. Convenient location to catch up with family living in the local area. Ideal for families with children with a pool with a separate shallower area for younger children. Go carts for hire, bouncy cushion and plenty of room to run around. The villa had its own washing machine and dryer and TV. Loved seeing and hearing the local bird life.

Wifi available but a bit temperamental occasionally. Same with TV - occasionally kept dropping out, not sure if that was due to cable TV or the location. Bathroom was OK and clean but on the older side. Shower over spa bath - the spa bath did not look like it worked - but I could be wrong as we only used the shower.

cabin itself was really comfortable and big. great kids room with bunk bed plus single. air con everywhere . good size kitchen and nice balcony. the pool is lovely and jumping pillow was great success for our kids! view of the water is great , try get your cabin or camping spot right there! staff were super helpful and kind .

the name of the place confused us to think it’s the koala sanctuary or that at least there are some koalas to see. but this is probably our own stupidity :) there is nothing in the cabin in terms of ingredients - no salt or oil or anything , we got a bit stuck. the put out mini golf is very very run down. it’s cute but you can’t really play properly . the pool has one side with rocks, which is beautiful but very unsafe because kids can’t Hold onto the side there and water is deep. the beach itself isn’t great for swimming as it looks bit dirty / sea weeds etc. but still beautiful !! also this is on the other side of port Stephens so quite far from the main attractions like Anna Bay etc .
