We spent 3 amazing nights in this lovely hotel in Oberammergau. The owner was incredibly helpful and nice to us and all other guests. She surprised my wife with a little birthday cake during breakfast on the day of her birthday. It was really a nice surprise and made our day! By the way there is an amazing selection of food for breakfast and all is very delicious! Every morning there was something new on the table to chose from. The owner gave us visitor cards with which you can use public transport for free. She also helped me to organize a romantic horse carriage around town and we had a great time. Not just the owner but all the staff has been very nice and helpful. You just have to ask and they try to help you. We also used the Sauna in the basement which was really worth every Euro. Very refreshing after a long day of walking. The whole hotel is very clean and looks like freshly renovated. One can really see that the staff take care of the place and they really put their heart and soul into it. We will definitely come back again! Thank you for this amazing weekend! :)

We stayed in a family room in Hotel Antonia and had a truly wonderful experience. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make sure guests were looked after — even during breakfast, they checked in several times to see if we needed anything. As we were leaving, they surprised our little boy with a small toy, which made him so happy. It's those thoughtful touches that make a place truly memorable. Highly recommended for families!

- Picturesque hotel in a picturesque town, which served as a great base for exploring Bavaria - Very friendly staff, even offered their personal mobile number while the official hotel phone wasn't working - Great view - Free parking - Good breakfast included, and they went an extra mile to accommodate my vegan diet. Much appreciated! - Big apartment with a well-stocked kitchen for cooking your own meals - Comfortable beds - Walking distance to the city center - Good value for money overall - I will happily stay at this hotel again

- No air conditioning or even a fan. It was simply too hot in August - The shower room was on the small side, especially for such a big apartment - The glass door to the shower room was fairly transparent, people on the outside could easily see you moving around. I stayed with family so it was ok, but I wouldn't feel comfortable staying there with friends and definitely not with colleagues - Tiny amount of shampoo was provided. Luckily we brought our own, otherwise we would've run out - It's an old building so there's no elevator, you have to climb stairs to get to your room. It wasn't an issue for us, but accessibility might be an issue for others

The location was within easy walking distance of the train station. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Without us prompting, they inquired if we wanted to get the local travel card, which covers the buses to Schloss Linderhof and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which was a huge help for us. They provided good recommendations for nearby restaurants. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and clean, with great views of the surrounding neighborhood and terrain.

The single drawback to our room (on the third floor) was that there was no elevator. Getting bags to the room therefore required a little bit more effort. We were travelling with my 81 year old father-in-law, who made it up the stairs ok. Just something to keep in mind for anyone that would have difficulty with stairs.

The hospitality of the host was fabulous - she was pleasant and informative. The location was great as it was just a couple of minutes walk to the centre of town and restaurants. There was free car parking on site. Our room was comfortable and very clean. The bed was great, with nice linen too. Good Wifi and plenty of power points. We had a large balcony (room 24) with a nice view of the mountains. The bathroom was nice, with a good sized shower and hot water. Breakfast was included had a good range of items and was delicious.

Absolutely nothing

The hotel was clean. The staff were really helpful and made us feel welcome from the start. We had a room upgrade and our room was absolutely stunning. Beautiful views over the alps and Oberammergau. The hotel is also really close to the centre of town. The owner recommended some restaurants and they were fantastic! The breakfast was great. There was a wide selection of breakfast items and freshly cooked eggs. The room itself was spotlessly clean and the amenities were excellent. Small kitchen and lounge and dining area. Walk in wardrobe and super clean and well maintained bathroom.

We could not fault it!

My husband and I loved the Hotel Antonia from the moment we pulled in to the parking area. The hotel building is in the Bavarian style, and it was exactly the type of hotel I wanted to stay at. We were greeted by the friendly owner who made us feel so welcome. The room and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony where you could sit and enjoy the evening. The breakfast room was very inviting, and the breakfast was outstanding with many items to please everyone. The owner offered the cook eggs to order. They had absolutely the best brand of yoghurt I've ever had! The hotel has a cozy reading room in the basement. We had parking at no charge. The location of the hotel is very convenient to the shops in Oberammergau. We stayed 2 nights, and I really regretted having to leave. I especially enjoyed chatting with the owner! If I come back to Oberammergau, I will for sure stay at the Hotel Antonia again!

Everything was perfect!

Our stay in Oberammergau at Hotel Antonia was excellent and we picked the perfect hotel. The staff were very warm, kind, friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. The hotel was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and we had a wonderful stay. We were sad to leave and will definitely recommend Hotel Antonia to everyone. If we are ever in the area again, we will stay there!

Beautiful hotel within a short walk of the village centre and all amenities. Parking on site. Christine was very welcoming and helpful . The rooms are beautifully clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and view of the mountains. A peaceful place to relax. Breakfast is excellent with an excellent choice. Would highly recommend staying here.

Nothing to dislike

A lovely guesthouse: clean, comfortable and welcoming, with a beautiful view of the mountains from our balcony. Convenient parking facilities, even for our oversized van! The breakfast was excellent, both in the variety and quality of the offerings. It's a short walk to the center of the town, and is conveniently located near a supermarket or two. Our hostess was charming and friendly.
