Everything about this accommodation was top notch, it is one of the best places we've ever stayed! We had a standard plus room. The living and dining/kitchen area was very comfortable, and the kitchen was extremely well supplied for a short stay. The tv also worked beautifully. The bathroom had a wonderful, high water pressure, spacious shower that was really relaxing. The bedroom had a spacious and very comfortable bed. There was also a nice tv in the bedroom. The balcony was large and comfortably appointed; there was a slight view of the mountains, though this was probably better on upper floors. The proximity to the lake Forggensee was wonderful for walking and swimming. The sauna was also very nice! Even the dishware was charming and modern, as was the entire decor.

Since summers have been getting hotter, it would be good to switch out the comforters on the bed for more summery models. I had trouble cooling down some nights to get to sleep. Perhaps also a stand fan in the room would be good for hot nights of summer sleeping.

Careful attention to every possible detail was visible throughout our stay. We loved the mix of older style comfort and modern amenities. The spa in the basement was a particular plus. And having a direct view of the Neuschwanstein castle was a highlight too - it was the first thing we saw in the morning and one of the last things at night. Breakfast was tasty too, and every request we had was fulfilled quickly and in a really friendly way. Wherever we’re back in the region we’ll be staying here again.

Spotless, luxury apartment complex in a quiet corner of Schangau, about a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Foggensee lake. Our apartment had a beautiful balcony overseeing the lake and had a view of the mountains, too. We enjoyed the sunset every evening. Everything in the apartment is perfect to the smallest detail, the huge boxspring bed is great, all you need is there. Also, breakfast is a feast, you can order a la carte and pay accordingly.

Nothing important really, except no streaming services are available on the TVs, in contrast to every other apartment in Germany we've been in.

While booking it was challenging to find a modern looking property in the area. Maximilian Appartements were a great choice! Everything looked clean and new, there was even music in the shower 😍 Personnel were lovely and took dietary request into account for breakfast. Breakfast is like in a 5-star hotel, but for a very reasonable price. Tasty and beautiful. Multiple restaurants are within 20-minute walking distance. We loved our stay!

There were no shampoo and douche gel. We read it in previous reviews, and brought it with us. This could be the only small improvements 🙏🏻

Nice quiet village, 5 min walk from the lake where it is possible to swim. 15 min ride to the castles parking. Two apartment buildings connected by immense underground gallery. Very clean and very well maintained. Great stuff. Finnish, Turkish and infrared saunas in great open daily. Free parking.

The only problem was with wifi that did not work well

Everything was brilliant from the moment we booked to check out. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, and worked brilliantly for two teens and two adults with apartments next to each other. The rest of the building is lovely, with a self-serve bar and breakfast available (breakfast was lovely!). Really well equipped kitchen and we could see the castle from our balcony. Two mins drive or 15 mins easy walk to a large and well stocked supermarket. The same distance to restaurants in Schwangau. We also ordered take out delivery one night from the Asia Food Palace. Just two mins walk and you're at the lake which is beautiful! Lots of spots to sit and read, picnic, or enjoy a beer! There is also a lovely cafe / bar and a restaurant by the church, just before the lake. You can hire bikes too straight from the apartment. We used Car Park 4 for Neuchweinstein Castle - make sure you arrive by 9 for a spot - and it was just ten minutes drive away. The luge at Tegelberg is even closer and brilliant fun! Fussen is ten mins drive away or 15 mins by bus. Lots of public transport options too and the apartment hosts provide discount tickets. Could not believe how beautiful the area was, and the apartments were the perfect base for exploring.

Nice place to stay on the outskirts of Fussen and really enjoyed our stay. Loved the room and the staff were very helpfull. would deffinatly recomend this place. nice food for breakfast.

No one to meet us. But that might be my fault for not seeing the e-mail in my junk folder, giving instructions of how to gain accsess to the key in the key box.

A very good apartments with free parking near the house. A woman on reception was very helpful. A clean and big rooms. Easy check-in and check-out. The sauna in the Maximilian Appartements was great, private and included in price. The incredible sightseeing nearby.

Wonderful location, very close to the castle with a bus stop to the castle only a couple of blocks away, allowing you round trip access to the castle inexpensively. The apartments were very clean and exactly as advertised. Staff was very caring and helpful. They made our trip very enjoyable and stress free. Highly recommend.
