Joanne was a lovely attentive host and nothing was too much trouble. Northorpe B&B is situated on the outskirts of Hornsea but within easy reach of shops and a nice selection of eating places etc. The breakfast selection was very good and consisted of orange juice, cereals, full English (or you could choose specific parts thereof), toast, jam, marmalade, tea or coffee. The room itself was nice and bright with a comfortable double bed, tv, plenty of storage space and with the added bonus of a small fridge. Should we decide to visit that part of Yorkshire again we would definitely go back to Northorpe B&B.

The lighting in the ground floor shower room was very dim and because of this it was easy to forget to switch the light off when using during the day. There is only a small chest of drawers with a bedside light one side of the double bed which makes it inconvenient as you have to get out of bed to switch the main light off when you've finished reading.

Our second time staying , the host is really welcoming and friendly ( don't know her name embarrassingly) Really clean room and the breakfast is so good, good quality ingredients esspecily the bacon and she was kind enough to make some changes to my partners breakfast which my partner really appreciated. We also met the dogs outside who are gorgeous. Was also funny Peter the peacock waiting outside looking like he wanted to come in when we arrived.

Some one I assume it was one of the other guests kept sneezing and blowing his nose right in the lobby area and right in front of our bedroom door about half 11 at night and he left and went outside and continued to sneeze and blow is nose right outside our room. No idea what he was doing or why he felt the need to do that right near our room at that time of night was very inconsiderate whoever it was and don't know why he couldn't do that in his own room but not the hosts fault.

Room was clean and the bed was exceptionally comfy - best night sleep I've had in ages. Really friendly host, breakfast was OK and it was nice to not have to decide what you wanted in advance.

Room felt rather overlooked, couldn't really have the blinds open as anyone walking past would be right outside the window, which when you're bringing a dog meant he was constantly on alert. Also, the road wasn't as quiet as described. Cars and lorries going past at 40+ mph was quite loud. This wasn't too much of an issue at night so not a dealbreaker by any means, but perhaps stating it is a quiet street view is a little optimistic.

Friendly, comfy and atmospheric. High quality furnishings, fixtures and fittings in the room grabbed our attention straight away. Spacious, airy room with en-suite. Comfy bed. Nice useful touch-sensor bedside lights. Provision of fridge and fresh milk a lovely welcome touch. Tea & coffee provided with biscuits! Loved the tray in the room to place shoes in, great idea, meaning carpets were kept lovely and clean. Fluffy towels! Hair dryer provided. Good amount of storage. Working TV. Useful glamorous full length mirror. Loved the spacious dining room and well-presented cooked breakfast with high quality produce. Loved the surrounding rural area back and front, providing lovely views with fields, hens, dogs and a peacock!

There was nothing to dislike! Everything was convenient and perfect!

It was quite difficult to find accommodation around Hornsea, we were so fortunate to have found Northorpe which is only a short distance away. Jo and her husband are exceptional hosts so warm and welcoming. Standards are high and the B&B is immaculate we loved the design of our room too with lots of extra touches. Breakfast was delicious and looking out at the chickens, ducks and Peter the Peacok was entertaining. Even our bicycles had their own private space! Thank you Jo for looking after us and our bicycles so well.

Loved our stay thank you. Everything was perfect, great location for Hornsea. Super clean and fresh rooms. Hosts were attentive and very friendly. Ducks, Guinea fowl and chickens in the garden were awesome along with loads of wild birds that visited. Highly recommended and we'd stay here again.

Other selfish guests! We had noisy idiots in another room who were having a massive argument early hours but that is absolutely not the owners fault and we felt that if we'd reported it they would have dealt with it. We only heard the row as our room was adjacent to theirs.

Great room, lovely decorated and spacious. Comfy bed and a good shower with plenty of hot water. The room had the added bonus of a little fridge, and the owner provided complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, fresh milk and biscuits.

Breakfast times. Unfortunately, we needed to leave by 8am and there was only a breakfast slot available at 9am so we had to miss the breakfast.

Well kept, nicely decorated, very pleasant environment. The hosts were very nice. Quiet location despite having a large mobile home site attached. Handy for Hornsea town centre. We were made very welcome and will definitely be back.

Not a lot. The road outside though seemingly a minor route was quite busy but that’s roads for you.

Lovely quiet room. Facilities were spotless. Breakfast was excellent.

Couldn't get shower to run hot water so had to have cold stand up wash. There didn't seem to be instruction and I didn't have time in the morning to faff about to sort it out tbh Sun had been shining in all afternoon so room was very hot. Maybe opening the window before guests arrived.

Fabulous host, thank you Joanne. Room 1 is dog friendly, Simply excellent, superbly clean, fantastic breakfast. Will deffinately go again. There is a walk you can do, weather dependent, (bridleway walk can flood) but expect to drive should you wish to get out and about. Room 1, at one side is adjacent to the main road, but this is very quiet at night, thus didn't give us any problems sleeping.

We didn't like having to leave 😭. Could have stayed longer.
