The hotel was in a lovely location and easy to find. Staff were polite and helpful. Because we both came from work we each had a car and this was not a problem. Doors locked at 11pm but a telephone number on the door was answered almost instantly and we were inside within a couple of minutes. It was really quiet and we were the only ones in at breakfast (midweek 9am). Bedroom was really dark which was lovely. Beautiful room. Would definitely visit again

For me the bed was a little on the hard side but my partner was happy with it - can’t please everyone in this department ;)

Every now and again I stay in a hotel that I am reluctant to tell anyone else about....I would have liked to keep this one my secret. What a great hotel, set in beautiful grounds. A great welcome from the staff, with a quick check in process. The room was fantastic value for the money, a large comfortable bed, and a great bathroom with a decent shower for a change. After a great nights sleep, sat down too a beautiful cooked breakfast, piping hot.....again makes a change.....Will probably be in the area on a more regular basis now, and will definitely come back to this hotel.

Wasn't much not to like to be honest, the only thing which could do with a bit of improvement was the signage to the breakfast room. It was quite funny after wandering around the carpark for five minutes with a few other guests looking for it, to finally sit down and then have people staring through the windows pleading "how did you get in there"

When we first arrived our room was very hot and even when the thermostat was turned down remained too hot, probably because it had been an unusually hot day for March and the sun was streaming in. The staff were extremely helpful and gave us a different room, which was cooler. They told us that we were given the original room because it was in a building away from the functions that were going on and they thought that would be quieter for us, and they warned us the new room might be more noisy. In the event it was not particularly noisy and we appreciated the staff’s thoughtfulness. All the staff were pleasant and helpful even when they were extremely busy. The breakfast was also excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, comfortable and peaceful. Just what I needed for a few days to relax and recover when I was feeling the effects of burnout. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent with a nice view over the field at the back giving me a lovely moonrise in the evening.

Not much - I chose it as it was peaceful so I can't complain that there isn't much around unless you have a 2-5 minute drive to Cottingham or Willerby. The grounds are well maintained and nice to walk in weather permitting. As everyone would like things to be cheaper but I think it was a fair price for what I got however if breakfast was included in the price it would have been a nice touch.

We stayed at the hotel whilst we were attending my daughters Wedding party there. It was amazingly well orchestrated by the manager and his crew. They were sensitive to our needs and absolutely went the extra mile to deliver an amazing day, guiding our own orchestration of events and keeping our side of the organising team well informed throughout. Our hotel stay was excellent. Large neat rooms, clean comfortable and quiet. A very good breakfast was provided at a very fair cost, Lazaat also accommodated my request for an extra night's stay at the hotel at a great price and with a minimum of fuss. Every member of staff I engaged with, be it reception, dining room, bar staff, or hygiene services was kind, professional and polite.

Absolutely no dislikes.

Our room was really spacious, probably the biggest hotel room we’ve stayed in! King size bed was very comfortable, lots of towels provided in the large bathroom, with a shower over the bath. Would be ideal for anyone needing a workspace, as there was a large desk and also some nice chairs and occasional table. Our room had dual aspect too, with windows overlooking the fields. Nice and quiet, had a peaceful night’s sleep. Unbelievably good value for what we paid. We were attending a funeral wake, and the room was well set out, plenty of staff on the bar, buffet was excellent. We had breakfast in the same room the following morning and it was very reasonably priced for what we had - cereals, tea, coffee, juice, plus full breakfast items. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Room was very cold when we arrived, although we did turn the heating up on arrival and it was nice and warm when we returned to the room later. We had our evening meal in the hotel later that night which was good, although the dining room was very cold and not overly inviting. It’s a shame as other parts of the hotel, main function room, reception and bar areas are lovely and welcoming.

The room was large and well ventilated, but the sound proofing was excellent (there is large road construction immediately next to the hotel at the moment and I didn’t hear a thing!) The bed was really big and comfortable and everything was spotless. The shower and bath were a great size and had good water pressure. Breakfast in the morning was freshly made and very good. I think this place is a real gem, and such great value for money. It’s so handy for work I will definitely be back.

I didn’t see any lifts, so if I had a large or heavy case it might have been a problem.

The food was absolutely amazing!!! The chef has done a brilliant job. Many people commented on how well the food was. 3 course meal plus evening buffet and everything was first class!!!

I went to lazaats for my father in laws wedding. The DJ was supposed to start at 6:30, he didn't arrive til 7:45 and started at 8:10. I helped him unload his equipment to make things quicker. He didn't offer any thanks,he was rude. When it came to the "first dance" his first words where " we better get on with it then". Also towards the end of the first dance he said " come on everyone, get dancing" in a very rude way. He didn't engage with the audience at all and was an absolute disgrace. At the end of the evening he played some songs and then just cut the music and turned lights off, no warning this was the end of the evening. For a lovely place like lazaats, the DJ was a disgrace. He needs to be removed from lazaats dj duties.

The room was spotlessly clean and a great size with a Superking double bed, a desk, table and chairs. Almost like a junior suite. The car parking was great, which was well lit at nighttime. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and proper Yorkshire portions

The cleaning staff didn't speak english very well and it was difficult to explain to them that they kept forgetting to clean and replenish our bathroom. The TV only received BBC channels

The Lazaat is well located between Cottingham and Beverley just off the main road. Our room was quite large with a king size bed and a good sized bathroom. We had a good meal in the restaurant cooked to order with fresh ingredients. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of cereals etc and a full English cooked to order, and remarkable good value for £9.50. Staff in the restaurant and reception were friendly and helpful.

Getting in and out of the bath tub for a shower was difficult as there was no grab rail on the wall - this is a common problem in many hotels and one which is easily remedied.
