Outstanding location immediately adjacent to Porta Nuova, less than 3 minutes from Palatine Chapel & Royal Palace complex, convenient to walk everywhere else in the centre. Very comfortable bedroom and bathroom, as well as communal areas. Staff went out of their way to accommodate early check in. Excellent noise insulation despite city centre location, very good night's sleep. NB on-site parking is worth the extra payment as other options are limited.

Given how excellent the hotel is, the complimentary breakfast was surprisingly mediocre: very limited choice of cereal, bread or fruit. No fresh juice, second rate coffee.

Turned out to be a great location to stay, a short walk from all the central sights but nice to step slightly away at the end of the day, and literally 10 steps outside of the Porta Nuova and into the hotel. The hotel was stylishly decorated, room was very comfortable (if small), bed very comfortable and bathroom / shower well equipped. Staff were very helpful, with good directions and arrival instructions plus useful tips conveyed by WhatsApp. Breakfast on the roof terrace was very good each morning, although a wider choice of salads etc. would have been appreciated. Thank you.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

For our 6-day stay, this was the perfect location. The Palazzo Normanni right across the street, views on the porta di Mori from the breakfast terrace. The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull with interesting tips on what to do in the Palermo region, and even elsewhere in Sicily. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And what you see on the pictures is what you get.

We had a smaller room and it was a bit difficult to stow away luggage (not very mucht space). But this was just a minor discomfort.

The hotel is charming with beautiful artworks dotted around the rooms and corridors. The location is perfect, being right in the historic centre, about 2 minutes from the Palatine Chapel. It is possible to book a space in their secure car park (but do this when you book the hotel) as there are only a few spaces). The staff are SO helpful and welcoming. They sent me recommendations of restaurants and places to visit before we arrived and even videos to help us as we drove towards the hotel.

Cant think of anything! I will definitely stay here again if I return to Palermo.

Excellent location and facilities. Room was large, clean and air conditioning worked. Lovely outside terrace. Staff were very friendly. We were a group of five and turned up early and the gentleman preparing the rooms was very helpful bringing our bags up to our rooms when thry were ready. The gentleman preparing the breakfast was also really helpful - we were on an early flight and asked if we could have breakfast early and this was facilitated thank you so much.

Only thing was we were not told about a taxi service to the airport which could have been organised for us by the property at a fixed price. But we didn't know about it and it cost us much more to organise our own.

I had a fantastic stay at I Mori di Porta Nuova! The location couldn't be better—right by Porta Nuova, which made it easy to explore the historic heart of Palermo. You're just steps away from landmarks like the Palazzo dei Normanni, Cappella Palatina, and Via Vittorio Emanuele, leading to the Quattro Canti and Piazza Pretoria. The staff were absolutely incredible—friendly, quick to respond, very accommodating, and efficient. They really made the stay feel effortless. Breakfast was simple but fresh, and I especially appreciated the just-made fruit salad every morning. The bedroom was clean and spacious, and even though the shower box was a bit small, it didn’t spoil the stay at all. My room had a balcony, which was a lovely touch, and the air conditioner worked really well, keeping the space comfortable throughout. The elevator was a definite plus, and I loved that both my room and the terrace where breakfast was served had a nice view. Overall, a great experience—I’d definitely stay here again!

I had a fantastic stay at I Mori di Porta Nuova! I originally stayed two nights in a lovely room with a balcony, which was clean, spacious, and had a great view. The air conditioner worked perfectly, and the double-panel windows did an excellent job keeping the noise out—even though the area is quite lively. For my third night, since my original room wasn’t available, I booked a different room with a king-size bed, and it turned out to be an incredibly spacious apartment with a kitchen—a really pleasant surprise. Both rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. The location is perfect, right by Porta Nuova, with key attractions like Palazzo dei Normanni, Cappella Palatina, and Via Vittorio Emanuele all just a short walk away. The staff were amazing—friendly, quick to answer, super accommodating, and always efficient. Breakfast was simple but fresh, and the just-made fruit salad was a great touch. The terrace where breakfast is served also offers a nice view, and the elevator made everything more convenient. Even though the shower box was a bit small, it didn’t affect the quality of the stay at all. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Rooms were spacious and had a fantastic balcony to sit and enjoy the best bottle of red wine we had in Sicily. The general manager (although he seemed to be receptionist, bell boy and waiter) could not have been nicer even going to nearby hotel to get the bottle of red wine we loved as he had run out. Location is fantastic for all the tourist spots. my favourite hotel of the trip

Breakfast was a little basic and could have had more staff, if only to ease the workload of the GM!

Everything! The location was fantastic just outside the walls of the old town. Loredonna and Dante could not have been more helpful with everything. The terraces are fabulous and great for spending an afternoon or evenings with a glass of wine.The breakfasts are very nice.

Nothing… just make sure if you have a car and need to park close to and use when you make your reservation as parking is available but limited

Excellent location, bed is comfortable, staff and host are very nice. Room is cleaned daily and towels are changed which is a plus. Terrace is very nice, and bathroom was great. Even though it’s a B&B, you don’t hear your neighbors which is great as long as they’re not yelling. There is parking, and it was extremely convenient especially in Palermo.

WiFi is okay. Good enough for texting but not much beyond that. Fridge doesn’t keep anything cold either. Please see the photos. There is this very strange “art piece” chosen for the room. This was unsettling and just a very poor choice. Please consider removing this, it is VERY creepy. I’m sure the intentions are good, but this was a bad choice on artwork.
