Amazing pool and pool access room. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel was beautiful to stay at. Great food options for lunch and dinner too.

I was under the impression that the hotel was no smoking yet there were many Russian guests smoking at breakfast and on their hotel balcony. When I queried this with guest experience team, I was informed that certain guests were given permission to smoke - which I don't agree with. I don't believe someone's $$ should put other guests experiences just because they are paying more.

Nice resort right next to the beach with everything you would expect and everything else you might need in walking distance or a short ride away.

As everywhere in Thailand now a high percentage of Russian guests, who are usually a bit louder and tend to have a slightly intrusive behavior.

The hotel is beautifully designed, very relaxing and very comfortable. The food was great. The staff was incredible and the beds were amazing.

EVERYTHING is extra. I’m your room for example, you get one nesspresso capsule a day. Want more? Pay 60 baht. I’m staying in four different hotel a month, some of them are much cheaper, and I was never charged for extra capsules. Absurd.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, lovely sandy beach. Rooms large and modern. Nice location with some good local restaurants.

The apartments were very spacious and well presented. Staff were outstanding in hospitality and friendliness. Breakfast in the morning, gave a vast array for choice. The resort had many facilities highlighted by the number of swimming pools and proximity to the beach. Differently abled people may need to keep in mind. There are no lifts. We had a most enjoyable week. Would recommend a day and or night trip to Fishermans village for shopping and some great restaurants and bars.

The Melia is a fabulous hotel with a great pool and a lovely beach. We were in one of the boat suites directly by the pool which also gave us access to the “level” which was special as it allowed you free snacks, drinks and cocktails throughout the day :-) a great bonus. Hotel is a 10 min ride to Chaweng or the lovely Fisherman’s village so easy access … pool was one of the highlights as were the staff they were all excellent and so friendly - Makham / Candy in the level looked after super well as did Lucy and the front reception team - great service

Very good quality hotel by a clean, peaceful beach only 15 minutes away from both Chaweng and Fisherman´s village. A really nice internal "river" connected to the pool area which was also good for swimming. Excellent breakfast and a great New Year Eve´s party with really excellent food

There could have been a better choice of restaurants in the hotel - but fortunately there are a few nice, inexpensive restaurants right beside the hotel, Krua and Anong. There were not very good hiking trails in the area but this is an issue everywhere in Koh Samui with heavy traffic and no pavements

Staff - All very friendly and professional. Room - Very nice and big room. Balcony was huge. Bathroom was also big and had a nice deep bathtub. We looked forward to coming back to our room every time we went out! Bed - Huge bed and very comfortable. We had the best sleep as the resort was so quiet. Breakfast - Very nice spread and and wonderful staff Gym - Nice gym which was conveniently located near the rooms. Pool - Very nice and big pool.

Shade around pool - Would be nice if the surrounding areas of the pool had more shade. Big overhanging plants to provide much needed shade from the sun would be nice. The coconut trees are nice and all but provides no shade. Other than that the pool was really nice!

The Pools - The Ambiance - The Staff!! Baw, a chap who works in F&B by the main pool, is a first-class man with genuine care for people and hospitality. He is a star! Develop him! Overall all the hotel is excellent. Breakfast is great and the ladies + chefs in F&B are brilliant. Great service and personalities. Front Desk also excellent.

The Beach is very dirty. Which is a shame as it is a nice beach. Melia should champion this subject and lead all vendors along the beach front to volunteer 1 or 2 persons per establishment - once or twice a day - to litter pick along the beach. Plastic and other rubbish is out of control. It needs a community approach. Build awareness. This is a hotel asset and it should not be treated as an SEP. (Somebody Else's Problem) The steam and sauna have been made exclusively as spa packaged items. These are typically basic free hotel facilities that have now been taken away. There are so many other areas that are not utilized and could be repurposed to improve revenues.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Melia Koh Samui, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel's location on Choeng Mon Beach is perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to the beautiful sandy beach. The staff at Melia Koh Samui were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. The amenities, including the pool, fitness center, and spa, were top-notch and added to the overall relaxation and enjoyment of my stay. The dining options, particularly Koko Kitchen and Breeza Beach Restaurant, offered a delightful variety of international and Mediterranean dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. Overall, Melia Koh Samui exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious beachfront escape. I look forward to returning in the future!
