It is a family run hotel which guests returning again and again. All the staff cared that you had the best and easiest time. I had sent requests before arrival, all were responded to very quickly and we were even given two options of room on arrival. The rooms are as advertised and the pool well maintained and with plenty of space. We didn't use the breakfast option (don't get up that early) and no pressure was put on us to join. There was always a friendly smiling face to greet you from all staff, conducive to a relaxing beach holiday.

We really enjoyed our two-nights stay at Hotel Peli. The breakfast was outstanding, we enjoyed a broad variety of continental, Greek and Cretan breakfast. The home-made jams were super-delicious, we tried all 9 of them! The staff was very helpful to explain everything related to the hotel and breakfast. The room was of nice size and had a view to the pool.

There are 4-5 spots in the on-site parking area which were full, so we had to park our car on the street. The pool is open until 8 PM and we would have liked to swim later than that - maybe it's a good idea to extend the pool working hours as throughout the day the beaches are a better option, but in the evening/night the sea gets a bit rough and it would be nice to cool down at the end of the day in the pool. The bathroom was spacious and clean but the tiles are quite ugly (I say this with the best intention) as it resembled green mold and dirt on the white marble tiles. On the first glance we thought it is actual dirt but it's not.

Incredibly nice and helpful staff; Peli, Mano and Joanna, in particular, did everything to make our stay memorable: tips on great local beaches, loan of a beach umbrella, maps, extra towels, and good conversation in French and English. Located one block from a marvelous beach and smack in the midst of restaurants and beach tavernas…. Immaculate pool and generous breakfast. What’s not to like????

The hotel is in an excellent location, right near a beautiful beach and really good restaurants within a few minutes walk. What really makes the hotel so amazing are the owners and the staff. So welcoming and friendly! The rooms are lovely, well appointed, peaceful and immaculately clean. Manos who runs the pool bar was super friendly and makes great food too! We have travelled extensively and this is one of our favourite hotels in the world. A great base for exploring the beautiful area, or simply just chilling by the pool . Highly recommended!

this family run hotel is excellent vlaue . for a 2 star hotel its way above expectation- its spotlessly clean, a very pleasant reception area, bedroom small but perfectly adequate and only recently renovated and very nice - good shower in bathroom- plenty of storage and little balcony- lovely pool area and garden and outside bar, and really good home made breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. family take great pride in their hotel and are very hard working-and its literally across the road from maria beach- nice small quiet beach in Kisammos- also walking distance of everything in the little town- can only recommend

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The hotel is run by a family so they take really good care about the guests. Everyone is kind and friendly and we felt very welcoming. The hotel is very clean and the walls are soundproof. The bathroom is very modern, just it has a bit unusual tiles design, which you can see on the pictures. Swimming pool is big and clean as well. The hotel has a perfect location and Kissamos is a lovely village with great people and amazing food.

We highly recommend Hotel Peli! It’s a wonderful family-run hotel. The rooms are spotless, the small terraces are charming, and they are surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden. The hotel also has a large pool. It’s in a perfect location to reach some of Crete’s most beautiful beaches, and the nearest beach is just a few meters away, so from your terrace, you can hear the relaxing sound of the sea. Peli and her staff are exceptional! The organization and hospitality are impeccable. The buffet breakfast is scrumptious, the best we've ever experienced at a hotel. The quality of the products is top-notch, and almost everything is homemade by the owner's mother—from the jams to the sweets and savory options. It will definitely be our choice for a future trip to Kissamos!

It’s also a great base for reaching iconic places like Balos or Falassarna. The family running the hotel is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. I can't believe we got so lucky. My only regret is not having booked more nights. We will definitely be back.

Clean, well equipped rooms. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Clean, large pool. Towels were high quality and soft.

Small (6-car) parking lot. I had to park on the street most of the times, as one side of the lot could only be used by the owners of the property. Slow wifi connection while in the room. A/C works well, but noisy. Room and bathroom a bit cramped.
