If you're looking for somewhere that is tidy, great value for money and right in the heart of Mudgee, this place is great! There's obviously some swankier places around and if you're looking for more of an experience then this place isn't for you. It's loud because it's right on top of the pub (but they tell you that when you book, so not going to complain about it). The music goes through til about 2am but they provide ear plugs which I found worked well. We were just stopping over for one night and it was super cheap, tidy and fit for purpose.

Didn't know you had breakfast? I liked the atmosphere in the Pub. The rooms were fairly big. Bed was very clean and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly. Great location, could walk everywhere around town. Taxi service was also very good, always on time, helpful and courteous. Really didn't know what to expect for the weekend, having not been to Mudgee before, however I ended up loving it and will return when it's a bit cooler with my wife.
Not a huge issue, but the food menu in bar area needs to match what they actually serve in the restaurant. Food was very good though. Example: Menu says Curried prawns and rice - Dinner not served with rice. It didn't really worry me, but I can imagine some customers would jump up and down.

When I arrived, a staff member showed me to my room, and given it was a hot day, the air conditioner was already on which was great. I booked a room with an ensuite bathroom which was a good size. Plenty of elbow and legroom when using the toilet. The shower cubicle was a good size with glass door, not a shower curtain. I found the pillows and bed very comfortable. Drinks and food on-site. At the end of a long days ride, you can just settle in after a great shower. I was able to park my motorcycle around the back of the Hotel where it is a lot more inconspicuous, which gave me some peace of mind. The Hotel notified me it was a live entertainment venue, and of the noise that can be associated with this. They also offered some alternatives if I wasn't happy with this. I stayed on a Wednesday night. All quiet on the Western front the night I was there. I was riding with a group and they stayed at a budget motel in Mudgee. I got a better rate, and a lot better room than what my mates did. I'm glad I picked this hotel
The wash basin I found was small. I have larger hands so washing my hands, or shaving was always going to get water elsewhere. International Roast coffee sachets. The back stairs where I carried my luggage up from the bike were a bit steep and narrow. Next time, I'd park out front, unload and come in the front, then park my bike around the back. I did not check out the shred bathroom facilities so I cannot comment on them.

Very friendly staff even when we couldn't find our key, they opened the door for us with a smile. At leaving, the cleaning lady offered her help to cary down my bags downstairs...she even took them to the car. 🙂 I gave her a big New Year Day hug. Other guests were quiet and respectful. Great location.....a fery-land coffe next door!
We had no dislikes.... Maybe good to spray with plesent colours of pictures on the the glass roof what is in between the open walkways...🙂

I really enjoyed my stay at The Woolpack Hotel in Mudgee. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The location is ideal — right in the centre of town, with the pub and bistro downstairs offering a great atmosphere and delicious food. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to coming back soon.

Location of the accommodation and how well it was styled and very roomy and clean
The noise in the morning i believe could have been from the cleaning taken place in the hotel beer garden area. The overall noise from the hotel was expected and was not a bother but just the noise in the morning. The metal walkway also was a concern whem other patrons walked by to use the bathroom was very noisy as well.

Super conveniently placed in the liveliest bit of Mudgee, well priced, easy check in and out, friendly staff, comfy bed, room had everything we needed. The operators are very conscious that there will be noise from the pub downstairs and provide earplugs but we weren’t bothered by it at all.
We were in room 1, and the room was pretty dark - but we were there to sleep so that’s compatible with the goal! The sash cords on the window were broken so we couldn’t get it to stay open to get any fresh air, but for a two-night stay in Autumn that wasn’t a biggie.

Location was excellent. The staff were the friendliest especially the bar staff and publican. The hospitality staff were excellent in coming and making the bed and fresh towles everyday.
The beds could of been softer. The fact that the screen door banged when entering the hallway. Lots of foot traffic. Lots of light entering the room at night and had to hang a dress to block out light

It was such a pleasant surprise! The rooms were nice and really cheap, in the centre of town, we had a room with an ensuite and the shower pressure was perfect. The food was great downstairs and the staff were all really nice! Would definitely stay again!
The only thing I could comment on was the strong smell of nil odour or cleaning products in the room. But we just left the door open for a bit and it was fine.
