Very kind staff, nice common spaces in- and outside (huge sofas, colors, decoration, Big Mama private beach ^^), very convenient location (tram, U-bahn, restaurants, but also quiet environment), comfortable beds, big rooms. Thank you Big Mama for the pleasant stay !

I awarded an 8 instead of a 9 for one important thing : there is no curtains on the windows, or very thin and translucent ones. In summer, sun rises around 4:30 am in Berlin. So it would change everything for our sleeping comfort if Big Mama decided to hang blackout curtains ! ^^

We had a friendly welcome upon arrival. Our bikes could be safely stored in the secure, locked parking garage, which was a big plus. The room and bathroom were both clean and spacious. The hotel is located in a vibrant, multicultural neighborhood with exotic restaurants nearby — perfect for food lovers. There was a bit of noise from the nearby park in the evening, but it quieted down after 10 PM, so it didn’t disturb our sleep. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we had an early train to catch, but there’s a shared kitchen on the first floor where you can prepare something yourself. That was absolutely perfect for our needs. All in all, a great stay — we would definitely come back!

1 - This place offers both options for hotel or hostel. 2 - The room is spacious, with electric fan for summer and heating for winter. The bed is big and cozy. 3 - It’s not very far the U-bahn Osloer Str. (U8 & U9), like 4-5 minutes walk. Also tram and bus stops around. 4 - Close to Gesunbrunnen Station if your strain starts here. (2 stops by U8) 5 - Staff are nice and friendly.

One small thing - It’s close to a park and sometimes you can hear kids shouting or dogs marking in the early morning or in the late night.

Good location close to metro station. Amazing breakfasts.

The check-in was not possible to finish online and it took ages in the hostel. The lady at reception asked for our iIDs at least four times and still messed up the adress of residency of the main guest. We did not know in advance that we will not be given keys from our hostel room. We had lockers but it was impossible to lock the room at night and anyone from the neighbouring room could enter (and entered). There was just one toilet and one shower under one lock to be shared among eight people. So it was constantly occupied.

Staff was wonderful, pleasant, friendly and very helpful. Location is great and easy walking distance to every place we needed and wanted to go. Room itself was spacious, super comfortable and warm. Views from there were almost homey, kinda reminded me of childhood flat. Area was also peaceful, so we slept amazingly during the stay. All in all, everything was very pleasant.

Very small and personal thing, but I don't like fabric shower curtains.

Super! 24h reception desk and bar, free tea. Women's room for 4 people is bigger than I was expected. The room has all of necessary: safe, sink into room, comfortable bed. Bathroom with shower - one of 8 people + additional shower on the floor. Caring personal.

Location might be better. If you don't have a car or bike, be ready take 2 trains. In me opinion the area is not so safe.

The hotel is located in a quiet place. The room was big, clean, and always warm, and the bed was comfortable. What I also liked was that there was a room on the first floor where you could work on a laptop, eat, and even prepare a meal using the microwave, as well as store food in the fridge. The staff was extremely nice, and finally, the breakfast was amazing.

Breakfast! Could it look expensive, but its buffet, and very good! Specially the quark (loved it!) and eggs and bacon! The beds were also very comfy

Actually nothing., It was all great. Its my must in Berlin to go to this hostal. I really love it... Maybe the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner, but you share the bathroom, it is expected that not all of them are as cclean as you are.

The rooms were large and comfortable and the staff were super friendly. Location was also great as could get to most sites easily.

Only problem was the toilet was too close to the radiator so fear of burning kids so turned it completely down

It was our 3rd time in Big Mama and we absolutely love everything about the property. It's really nice and cosy , the rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and always there to help and always smiling. We regularly visit Berlin and it really feels like coming to our home.
