After your first drink, everyone seems to know you by name.Sieed, the barman, is the perfect host: always ready with a story or a local recommendation, yet never intrusive. And the food? Local lamb shank, slow‑cooked to perfection, arrives tender and fragrant, complemented by creamy mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. Rooms My room comfortable and spacious . The décor was tasteful and comfortably modern, but the real highlight was the shower: powerful, piping‑hot, and adjustable to exactly your preference. Small luxury, big impact! Breakfast You’ll wake up eager to explore the breakfast spread. A generous buffet offers everything from freshly baked pastries to full Irish morning fare—and yes, the scrambled eggs are pillowy and light. Service is prompt, and the staff anticipates your needs before you even ask. The Owner’s Touch Dick, the proprietor, floats from table to table at breakfast, remembered returning guests by name and genuinely inquired about our stay. That personal connection—chatting as old friends—elevates the entire visit. All told, the Grand Hotel Tralee scores over 10 out of 10 in my book. Impeccable attention to the little things, warm hospitality and truly memorable food and drink make it a shining example of how to do hospitality right. I can’t wait to return!

Staff were great. Very helpful. All of them. Food in the bar was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Well done chefs. We were upgraded to an executive room. Wowzers! For a 3 star hotel I thought it was exceptional. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Beautifully decorated. Massive bed. Lovely linen. Nice lighting. Big TV. Bathroom was large with a long open end shower. The shower had a normal head plus a large drench head. Brilliant. Room also had aircon and a safe A very welcoming and relaxing room. Loved it. We couldn't pick a fault with it. Right in the centre of town. YES we would stay here again. Recommend.

Parking not on site, but we did secure a permit for the one about 5 mins walk away. (I do appreciate they didn't need to park up their 4x4 when this place was built. Needed to mention it for other travellers) (N. B. No lift but they are willing and able to help if needed)

Great location for both train and bus station. Bank next door . Great little japanese Kyoto and Quinlans fish n chips restaurant across the road and round corner . Dunnes 5 mins walk. Hotel does fab breakfast and meals good same menu bar and restaurant. Stayed in deluxe double worth extra v quiet fridge in room iron and hairdryer. Handy for shops and park . Bar busy most nights

Recently, myself and three mates stayed at The Grand Hotel Tralee for a football trip, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The hospitality was top-notch, and the manager even took the time to shake our hands upon arrival—a small but meaningful touch that set the tone for our stay. The hotel itself had a great atmosphere, and everything from the rooms to the service exceeded our expectations. Whether you're in Tralee for sport, a weekend away, or just passing through, I'd highly recommend staying here. We’ll definitely be back!

The room was specious with separate bedroom for our kids, double shower with massage head was a bonus we really enjoyed. Overall very pleasant experience. The reception & dinning area is need of some renovation, expecially cleaning or windows & mirrors but it didn't effect out stay in anyway. Would recommend.

Parking issues, we were lucky to find a parking space near the hotel. Also very limited breakfast menu, 3 pancakes for teenager is definitely not enough and we've been asked to pay for a second portion.

Super central. Parking nearby. Cozy room with comfy bed. Bar downstairs was lovely with really nice staff and helpful staff. Lovely experience overall. Location is excellent, quick walk into town, short drive to Dingle and the sli head drive. Lots to do in Tralee.

Breakfast was ok but not the best. 50 quid deposit to be able to park in the church car park behind the hotel. Refund was immediate but isn't the best system. Lighting in the room was bizarre, couldn't just have the bedside light on so it was either really bright or completely dark.

Young woman at Reception was very charming & helpful on arrival. Breakfast is absolutely Brilliant. Huge selection for breakfast. Breakfast staff are excellent & pleasant. Bed was very clean and comfortable.

The Layout of the hotel cant be changed but its a maze and trying to find my room wasn't easy. People assume I already know the hotel, Im a bit of an oldie and was dragging my bag up & down stairs to find my room. The Wifi was slow in room 125. I didnt need it very much & slept well. Lights in ensuite were not working. I informed Reception the next morning & was leaving that day.

We ate dinner in the pub area, it was amazing food. It was one of our last nights in Ireland so we were willing to pay a little more then we did in other locations. It was worth every penny. We also had the breakfast that was great as well. Nothing bad to say about the food or the room.

This is something we found everywhere we when, but stairs and carring our luggage up and down them. Not a lot but everywhere we stayed had them.

Very kind and helpful front desk and overnight porter! Every request met, including a takeaway breakfast for four to meet our train. Very professional. Scoring perfect seats and meals in the bar is all due to Sophie. She was an amazing team member there and her efforts and smile added greatly to our family’s Grand experience, before and after our walk/hike around the Dingle Way. The Hill family will be back!
