It was amazing! The appartment ist just by the ricer, you can sit next to the river and have dinner or walk to the beautiful beach! The appartment had everything you‘d need, even a shovel for hotwater beach and 2 kanus in very good condition! I went fishing with the kanu and the amazing hosts john & lorraine smoked the fish and prepared some cevice and we had dinner together! We loved it!

The place is designed with a lot of thought. It's fun to be in a place with a pleasant and invested design. The room was clean and it was a quiet and lovely experience. 10 minutes drive from Hahei. incredible place!

Relatively isolated and suitable for those looking for quiet. The insulation between the rooms is not good and you can hear everything - it didn't bother us that much but you have to take it into account. We had a problem with the electrical connections, in the morning they and the refrigerator did not work. The owner of the place found out and replied within about an hour that it was under treatment

Unit was smaller than it looked online. It was a small studio very compact but had everything you need. Comfy bed and pillows. Interior was light. Hosts were lovely.

The unit was not beachfront so little disappointed as stated beachfront in description. The main house faced the estuary but the units were situated behind the main house. No view other than street view . Outside space very limited and shaded. Stated internet but very weak signal. So could not pick up Netflix

The room was immaculate and had all the essentials. The bed was comfy. They had a nespresso which is a nice offering.

The sound from the larger space was very loud with slamming doors and we could also hear talking from the smaller one. Not a major but for those more sensitive you might want to bring ear plugs.

Modern, well equipped, spacious unit with adjacent parking with no stairs, use of kayak on attached estuary was fun, spade provided to use at local Hot Water Beach was handy. Many glorious beaches to choose in walking and short distance driving. Lovely takeaway and restaurant in town. So lovely, we added an extra night to our stay.

Great location near beautiful Cooks beach, also a short drive to Hahei and Hot Water beach. The unit was well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and was clean. Bonus that we could borrow kayaks! Had a lovely time on the estuary. Very flexible and friendly host. Overall would recommend.

The property is small but really lovely. With only a short walk to the beach, it is well designed - a comfy bed, excellent shower, nice outdoor space with furniture, beach towels and even a spade to use at hot water beach.

We arrived with barbecue food, but couldn’t find the barbecue anywhere. The owners were quick to respond and the manager arrived to sort it out, so it was not a problem in the end.

The room was exactly as per the description. Accommodation was easy to find, and clear instructions were available inside the accommodation. The bed was very comfortable and I have appreciated how quiet is the place. There was no noise at all during the night. We can see that furnitures and materials have been chosen for their quality, and the room was perfectly clean and cosy/comfy.

I found the rate a bit expensive, especially the cleaning fees (48 NZD) in addition to service fee (50 NZD), whilst I staid for only one night, and left the apartment probably as much as I found it. Considering the rate for the night, it could be included. Also, I found that check out time at 10am is a bit early. Most of the time it is at least 11am. Last thing is that I would have appreciated seeing the owner at least a bit. I like booking with private people because it is the opportunity to meet people while travelling. I find it a bit frustrating not seeing any human at all. But I admit everything was well organized, so except for a human contact, there was no special need to see anyone.

Loved how fresh and new everything was, the building structure and also all its contents. The spade supplied for local attraction was handy and we made use of the kayak in the estuary attached to the property. Only dislike was the bed… a little too firm for our personal preference.

Very nicely decorated compact, very clean unit with everything you need, including breakfast. Great location and good visitor info folder so easy to find the way to the beach. Nice little courtyard that would be lovely in summer.

Connecting door lets a lot of noise through- luckily our neighbours were not noisy, but I suspect we woke them up when we got up early.
