The hotel is in the central which is really nice, the personal was awesome and helpfull. They gave us a lot of tipps what to do, helped us with the bus and transfer. The room was comfortable, the bed was medium hard, which i liked. In the room, we had shampoo, a hair dryer, and a mini bar. Right on the ground floor is the monta rosa restaurant, i recommend to go there, it was really tasty :D. We also booked the privat sauna, it was relaxing and good for warming up after the coldy walk :D. What i didn't liked was the half mirrored window to the bath, when one of us was sleeping and the other wanted to go to the toilet, the light of the bath would wake you up. Because the hotel is at the centre we could hear the street and we could hear the neighbours, which were quite loud. But overall, i would recommend the hotel

This is one of the main hotels in Rovaniemi, and its selling point is that it's right in the city center. You can easily walk to restaurants and the bus pick-up spots for excursions and activities. We loved the cozy lobby and the breakfast buffet here. The rooms are small, but the beds are comfy and the staff are all super sweet.
The rooms are on the small side, and the bathrooms even smaller. Our shower was tiny, and also flooded half the bathroom anytime we used it. It also would be nice if the breakfast buffet would have been open a bit later (it only ran until 10 a.m.), considering that many people return late from things like Northern Lights tours in the winter.

The location is great, walking distance to everything. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of food and the rooms and lobby area are clean and comfortable. Staff are nice and helpful. Room is nice and keeps your warm during the cold winter.
One thing only - The toilet in the rooms have a glass window facing the bed with NO blinds or any way to get some privacy. We checked with the staff and it seems all rooms are like that. Makes it quite awkward if you are sharing room with friends or family. I'm sure even couples would like individual private shower moments sometimes. We ended up taping wrapping paper to get some comfort/privacy when showering, but the hotel should really consider installing blinds or some way for people to have the option to cover the window.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms are relatively small, but comfortable. The rituals free toilet products in the bathroom were of big surprise! The breakfast was excellent in a very nice restaurant ( which has great dinners too). Loved airco in the room (it was +30 outside). And free parking lot under the roof ( the car was not overheated). And wonderful with ice-cold drinks at the reception! Will be staying in this hotel again!
One bedside lamp had a very wired connection to the main light. Could not use it for reading.

The location in the heart of the city with walking distance to all major points is great. The room was quiet and the bed comfy. The staff friendly and helpful. The Breakfast had all that you need to start your day. Not the widest selection that you sometimes see in these all inc. hotels in the summer holiday destinations, but this is not what you need here. Even sitting in the nice lobby is enjoyable. We had an absolutely great stay and would recommend the hotel to everybody traveling to Rovaniemi.
Could absolutely not find anything that I would want to complain, except that our stay here was way to short.

Outstanding location and the best in Rovaniemi if you want to cover most of what it has to offer. Right next to most of the restaurants, a 6 min walk from the fabulous Arctic museum and the Botanical garden, it's right in the centre of everything you need. The staff are smiling and helpful and the in -house restaurant Monte Rosa has a pretty decent fare for dinner, apart from a good buffet spread for breakfast.
The rooms are tiny- I mean it. 17 sqm doesn't leave any room if you are two and with 2+ suitcases. But they openly have indicated the size of the room. The other kill sport is that the split AC doesn't work in winter. So if being in that box of a room feels like lacking oxygen, you will need to open up the small mesh window, and then bear the constant sound of tyres on snow. I totally hated it & it ruined my sleep. No, it wasn't really worth the 375€/day for this size of room and zero ventilation.

There is a 24/7 grocery store a block away, many of the best restaurants in Rovaniemi are close, the river is nearby and there are excellent trails along the river if jogging is your thing. A very good breakfast is included.
There was a problem with the TV turning itself on, but the staff came and unplugged it for me. The TV is able to use Chromecast to link with your phone and you can watch Netflix or YouTube on the TV. I just didn't like that I couldn't turn it off and have it stay off.

I have stayed at Arctic Light many times. I was a guest the first week the hotel ever opened and I have returned every year except the first years of the pandemic. The staff is outstanding--always helpful, and the restaurant is also consistently good (though I miss the star chef from my first visits). I sometimes order a big salad that's not on the menu at all and the kitchen sends something wonderful and inventive each time. Most of the rooms (and I've stayed in a range of rooms) are very comfortable.
I had not noticed that I booked a room with roof windows. I know I had wanted a quiet room and it was definitely quiet--nobody around at all! Now, I know that I will never do that again unless I am there only to look for Northern Lights in which case those windows might be an advantage. (It is possible to close the shades on them, by the way.) I like being able to look out a window where there is a horizon. I bumped my head more than once (not the ceiling's fault, but my own.)

Breakfast was plentiful, delicious and fresh. Staff was very helpful especially when my clothing was soaked after an unplanned leak in my survival suit. Everyone was friendly. Close to restaurants, bus and activity pickups. Room decor was super fun and comfy. shower pressure was great and water was toasty!
Not an issue with hotel but taxi driver dropped us to the wrong hotel. There are 2 hotels with "City" in the name so guests should clarify using street address.

The hotel was brilliant, in the centre of Rovaniemi, everything literally in front of the hotel, buses to Santa Village and Airport are 5 min away, shopping mall the same, great coffee shop across the street and 24/7 shop. The sauna was empty when we went up although they do have designed hours when you can use it depending if you are male or female. Breakfast had loads of options and there is also a restaurant and a bar/grill on the hotel premises both had fantastic food. Would definitely come back if ever in Rovaniemi again.
