I would definitely recommend this hotel. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choices and everything fresh. The staff was very accommodating, even bringing coffee to the table despite having coffee machines available. The breakfast hours were also convenient. The room had everything we needed—clean, spacious, and comfortable. The spa was fantastic, very relaxing, and open during convenient hours. On our last day, we wanted to visit the spa earlier, and they kindly arranged it for us. The location was excellent, and since we visited at the end of September, it wasn’t too crowded. Overall, a very nice experience.

Breakfast was amazing and the location was really practical being close to town but far enough away to not be caught in the nighttime noise. The view was great from the balcony and the staff particularly attentive and friendly.

The downside was the bathroom. The shower is in an old bathtub and the bathroom overall needs to be upgraded. The soap access in the shower was awkward and the style outdated. I would suggest getting rid of bathtubs and assuming that the space is only sufficient for a shower. The bathroom was very clean.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with all the amenities I needed. The hotel's location was also fantastic, with easy access to all the local attractions and amenities. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts served each morning - a great start to the day! Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and memorable stay - I can't wait to come back

I couldn't find any faults during my stay, everything was just perfect.

Very nice hotel right at the lake, only a short walk from the trainstation and a lot of restaurants nearby. Staff was very nice and attentive. All the necessities for the baby were provided - we only demanded a cot via booking.com, but also a bathtub, diaper bin and changing mat were prepared. Breakfast buffet was excellent!

Spa area is not very big, but nice. Room was rather small.

The hotel was an easy walk from the station- when you walk down the short hill to the lake side it’s worth crossing the road and walking along the lake. The gardens are gorgeous. The staff on reception, Gian and a lovely young woman whose name I didn’t get, were superb - welcoming & knowledgeable about Locarno. I was early, and Gian phoned me when my room was ready. The views were superb - it’s worth paying for a lakeside balcony room, although a tad exie. The breakfast was generous with a wide selection, even for vegetarians - a bonus was the outdoor terrace. The steam room and sauna were very well appointed. The jacuzzis had a wonderful aspect with views over the lake, although I found them overly chlorinated - certainly not a negative, but personal preference. It was a short walk to the ferries. Make sure you ask for the Ticino visitors pass - free buses & trains within the Canton & some limited ferry services and good discounts on the the funicular to the Madonna del Sasso sanctuary (you can walk up and/or down - many steep stairs - I walked down) and the adjoining cable car/chair lift to Alpe Cardada/Cimetta, both of which I recommend. Fabulous view to Monte Rosa and some good hiking. Lake swimming is accessible almost right in front of the hotel - the water clarity is wonderful and many species of water birds. The old town around the Piazza Grande was a treat as well, although it was very hot and they were setting up for a music festival.

The rooms are perfect. Every amenity is available, the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect and quiet. The breakfast is perfect! There is nothing missing from the very broad buffet. Everything was renewed constantly with fresh products. Staff is very professional and helpful.

The check in was way too long due to the filling out of the Ticino-Ticket which at the end we did not get right away. I had to ask later to the reception for the ticket. This should be done later online on the evening or before the reservation. When I do a booking electronically I expect the check in to be expeditious.

We picked this hotel because of the proximity to the station. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and attend to all our needs. The restaurant were very happy to accommodate my mother's allergies and intolerances without any fuss. The view from the balcony of the lake facing rooms is beautiful! I will use this hotel again when i return to the area.

Fantastic location with lake view. Breakfast was great, staff very friendly, rooms and bathrooms were good.

Coffee capsules not replaced daily you get 4 capsules once and thats it, even though paying for multiple night stays you dont get a daily allowance off coffee. Same with complimentary water and with bathroom flannels (face cloth)in bathroom, wasnt replaced. Apart from those niggles, everything was great.

We loved the location with the lake view, the continental breakfast was very good and the staff very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was actually the nicest highlight: in two meals we tried saffron risotto, seafood tagliatelle, caprese salad, grilled octopus and a wonderful tiramisù, everything was really excellent.

In a word: smokers. Our rating would have been a 10 if we didn't breathe in the smoke during dinner AND from our room whenever we opened the window. We are so sad to find out such a beautiful country has not only a high smoking rate, but almost zero enforcement of smoking-free laws. As the review title says, our stay was "frustratingly close to perfection" due to this element.
