Excellent location, Room very comfortable and clean. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was sufficient and good quality but could have offered other hot choices rather than just soft or hard boiled eggs, Perhaps add scrambled eggs in future

One little hiccup, a customer had set their alarm clock to go off in a vacant room, so it woke us up during the night and we needed to call the emergency number for a staff member to come to site and switch it off

The location was excellent, right next to the train station, about 5 to 10min walk to the town centre/Piazza Grande and Lake Maggiore. The service was excellent. The hotel staff was warm, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, with air-conditioning. The room and toilet were spacious. The room was very quiet, away from the main street. The breakfast was fine. The toilet at the lobby was very clean.

There was no kettle in the room, although it's not a big problem.

The room was spacious & clean, well lit with a multi-power outlet bar that can be placed on the desk. Staff readily made up room each day. The location was superb, walking distance (100m) to train station, bus stop, about 300m to docks on water's edge & lake side walking. Daily for more than a continental breakfast includes a variety of breads, croissants, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, yogurt(I think), jams and butter, coffee, espresso, milk, juices. The hotel has a relaxed setting to it, with the front desk willing to offer up restaurant suggestions\reservations, call a cab, directions or just conversation.

While not a problem for me some might find the shower somewhat snug. I was in a room in the back, alley view, quiet. When facing front is the train station lightly trafficked, quiet on departure\arrival. The street in front can experience greater traffic during commute hours but no more than just few cars, and an occasional (electrified?) bus passing by. Drivers are courteous never heard honking and always gave way for pedestrian crossing.

Nice hotel for a citytrip. Close to the citycentre and the lake. Perfect for a quick visit or a hike vacation. We did a small hike up to the church and further. Everything is close by; trainstation, harbour, busstation, cotycentre and more. The host of the hotel offered us various tips to do in and out of Locarno. She was very helpful.

The staff was really kind and helpful. They had given us great tips about the hike we wanted to do. I had forgotten my phone charger everyday they lent me one over breakfast time to get me phone ready for the day. the location was fantastic, very pleasant please and will definitely want to go back there.

oh the only detail the bathroom door was glass so if one person goes to the bathroom at night the light can be disturbing..

Location was amazing, exactly what it says on the tin. Staff were amazing and highly recommend the breakfast too! The staff couldn’t do enough for you, going above & beyond. When I’m next seeing family in Locarno I will definitely book to stay here again!

Very friendly staff that made the effort to speak in French with us. Very large room and conformable bed. Perfect location next to the train station and good value option for the film festival.

The window curtains let a fair bit of light through. The toilets are with partial walls and therefore not really private.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is central, perfect for people travelling by train. Parking available on site as well. Just a few blocks to the center with lots of shops and restaurants, very close to the lake and easy access to all public transportation which is free for guests. Our room was quiet and air conditionned, The breakfasts were substantial.

Excellent hotel in a freshly renovated historical building. Ideal location close to center and lake. Very nice breakfast with tasty sausages and cheeses, and free coffee any time. The rooms are light, clean, with alive flowers! And the service is brilliant.

The garni is incredibly located, literally 10 steps from the train station and 4 minutes to the lake. Facilities are very clean and orderly. Room was very large and had great windows so you didn't hear the noise from the train station. The building itself is very pretty, beautiful old staircase. Breakfast was minimal but had everything that you needed with fresh local produce - we were also there off season, so it might be different during the summer.

This is my personal preference but I found the beds to be way too hard and no pillows (or rather the pillows they use which are basically flat). It was like sleeping on the floor, though I think this may be a Swiss thing.
