The location is superb. You are just a few minutes from the pier for catching boats. You are a short walk from the bus stop taking you to Ascona (Bus no 1). Plus 2 stops away in the direction for the train station. The hotel gives you the Ticino card for your stay so you don't have to pay for public transport. You are also near the main square in Locarno. Staff were super friendly, giving me an adapter to charge the phone, giving me directions to a sports shop as I needed a new walking stick. They also offered a free Express Breakfast because I had used Booking. I didn't pay for breakfast but it did look good. All in all it exceeded my expectations because I had stayed in Ibis hotels before.

Not really anything

Deluxe Suite would be an excellent choice for a family travelling by car to Italy or southern France. Two big beds (including sofa-bed), lots of space, two bathrooms (!!), a big terrace, kitchen (!) with fully-fledged freezer, and parking just in front of the entrance. Very cool breakfast with everything you need. We’ve already booked the same room for our vacation trip next summer. And also very close to the lake, and you can park just on the shore.

Nothing, this is a marvellous hotel

The location is central, close to the lake and the old town. I really enjoy the breakfast, it was diverse and fresh. The room was clean and I really appreciate that they clean it every day.

The room was separated from the room next to it by a close door. I could hear our neighbours talking, the phone ringing.

The IBIS Locarno has fantastic and very outstanding staff! Everyone is absolutely lovely, wonderful and very helpful! Thanks for that!!

Powerplug next to the mirror and a coffee maker in the room would be great! Maybe scrambled eggs on breakfast buffet and a cooker to do soft boiled eggs, bigger variety of cheese and not only vegan Leparfait.... The current eggs are very dry.

It’s right next to the lake ferries boarding point, making it very convenient for daily excursions. The parking is ample. The breakfast alternative of coffee and croissants for as little as 5 CHF makes it perfect for those who needs just a morning fix to be on the go. The staff is very prompt, helpful and courteous at all hours of day & night.

The room had only one plug. Perhaps considering a more ample docking as people now travel with multiple devices would make it easier for those sharing a room.

Room was nice and bed comfortable

Breakfast was expensive and just average quality. No tea or coffe available in the room or public areas. No complimentary water in room. Hotel car parking too expensive.

The location was good because it was close to our business meeting we had at ABB. Breakfast was okay, I did have better at other Hotel locations for the price and as for the room it was okay. Originally I booked a room with either a double bed or a king size bed - I sent out 2 emails before I received a response from the management letting me know they will see what they can do but could not confirm that this would be available but when I booked king size bed was available. So I was not pleased with the response I got.

front staff could been a little more helpfull when needed.

Thanks to all staff, especially to Jimmi and Gaya, they were very nice and kind to us. The hotel is very clean, modern, in good location, we had everything that we need, and breakfast was good.

Clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. We forgot something in our room and the staff called us to let us know. Unfortunately we couldn't go back because we were in our way back home already, but they offered us to keep it until we will be back. Soon. Thanks for that.

The only thing I could suggest is to replace the "air-blower" in the bathroom for a proper hairdryer. I didn't bring mine because every 3* hotel and upper always have at least a simple one. This blower is useless.

Very well appointed rooms unlike most ibis style or budget property. Rooms have even a small refrigerator. Good location. Great welcoming staff.
