Loved the location, right off the square so able to walk most places. Beds comfortable and all the unit was very clean and warm. Little window opening to the street was very charming. Staff friendly with someone on reception almost all the time. Nice being able to get a meal at the restaurant on the ground floor.

Some of the amenities could do with updating, but good value for money. Parking is on the streets around with payment via euros or one of 2 apps. Coming from overseas, we couldn’t get either apps to work due to not having a local address or phone number and we did not have euros yet. Thankfully, parking is free on a Sunday until 7am on Monday. You can park in parking building a short walk from the hotel. The staff were great at trying to work out the issue with parking. Watch out for low emission zones, ZTLs and no entrance to motor vehicle streets, as google maps will send you to these with no warnings. One of these along the side of the property.

- The location is perfect right at the Piazza Grande - Parking was near by the Hotel, they give me a entrance ticket that i dont have to pay. Ticket was available 1 Day so you can leave the parking during the Day. - The breakfast was the Classic Swiss Breakfast, and the staff was always on point providing more food in the buffet. - Very friendly and helpfull stuff

The hotel is extremely central, at the edge of the Piazza Grande in Locarno, thus ideal for both visiting Locarno and going to nearby places, such as Ascona and it is in the beautiful old town. It is about 10 minutes' walk from the main railway station (where you can also take the Vigezzina-Centovalli train to Domodossola, the so-called "Treno del foliage", which goes through beautiful scenery). The breakfast was fresh and abundant (although, and this is not a criticism, more a tip, it could be nice to have a bigger selection of cold cuts and cheeses). I also went to the hotel's restaurant, finding the food very tasty (with the bonus of a discount on the prices, as I was a guest of the hotel). All the staff members were very polite and friendly. My room was small but, as I was travelling alone, this did was not a problem or an issue.

The hotel is located at the end of the central place of the city, very convenient. The staff was very nice, esp. when I realized that I've got a room with a detached bathroom (I was supposed to get out of my room and pass a small hall to get in my - truth is - private bathroom). When I told the lady at the reception that they should make it clear on booking.com that the bathroom is detached, she first let me know that it is their only room with this feature, but then she offered me a 'regular' room at no extra charge. By the way, I've got - before arrival - a 10% discount for eating in their restaurant. Didn't use it, but the place was full, so I guess they have a very good cook.

There was no small fridge in my room, that would have been nice to have.

Great location and price - right in the centre of the piazza. Very basic hotel room but had practically everything you could need. I was sceptical as I saw some other reviews saying there were shared bathrooms but that was not the case for me at all - my room had its own private bathroom as expected. Great view of the piazza and spacious room.

There is no soundproofing whatsoever in the hotel so you can hear every conversation and sounds from other rooms. I can imagine in the summer it is also very loud with sounds from the piazza outside. However, I read the reviews beforehand so I was aware of that. Overall, I think the price I paid for this room was great and it was very convenient for my one night trip!

Fabulous interior in classical style. Beautiful decor, and love the angel theme. Perfect location and breakfast of great quality and variety too.

There wasn't anything I didn't like, but as it was located right in the historic centre, parking a car closeby wasn't feasible. I found a good spot at a reasonable rate within 10min walk though so that wasn't an issue.

The curtains were too thin to shut out the street light at night. An additional blind is needed. The room was a bit stuffy (summer). There is no air conditioning and the fan provided welcome but not sufficient. Sheets would be good as well (not just doonas).

Rooms are good and basic. Large hotel in center of Locarno. When arriving by car you can drive up to the hotel to unload luggage and then park in garage at 5-7min walking. Restaurant for diner and breakfast is adequate. Friendly staff.

No A/C. Fans available. Room 410 too hot.

Everything was perfect, especially considering the price. I was not expecting much but it was really great. Clean, kind and attentive staff, well located, good restaurant and breakfast and good looking overall.

A bit noisy, but it is to be expected considering its location in the center.
