Wendy and David were lovely host. Being from the Southern part of the United States I would define Wendy as a fine "Southern Lady" in all regards which is a very high compliment. She was warm, polite and went over and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was welcoming, our room was lovely and the gardens and pool added a very nice touch. We spent 3 nights and breakfast was yummy every morning. Wendy suggested wonderful restaurants to us and even gave us tips on how to get in if they were booked. I wish Guest House on Hyde was not so far away for us!

Centrally located beautifully restored lovely old house with 3 self contained rooms for guests plus a common room/lounge with a wood-fired slow combustion stove, comfy chairs and board games. Parking in the laneway at the rear of the property. Too cold for a dip in the pool which takes up much the backyard but would definitely get used in summer. Attentive but not too attentive hosts. Excellent breakfasts. Guests can use the microwave in the dining room to heat ready meals, soup etc. Definitely worth another visit. Look for the house with the high front hedge on the main street near the service station.

Sensor light on front of house is set to light up the front garden and verandah when people approach the house but not when they leave the house to go out for dinner. Perhaps some solar lights on the front steps would solve this small problem.

This lovely homely accommodation is ideally located, within walking distance of the whole village, restaurants, cafes, etc. The breakfast was delicious, made up of a large variety of fresh fruit daily, followed by a choice of cooked options. The hosts were friendly and lit the fire every afternoon in the cosy guest living room.

The house is old, with charm and character, but as a result is dark and cold

The whole "experience" of a property that captures, through its fixtures and furnishings, a bygone period but with many modern additions to reflect contemporary expectations. The whole property shows the owner's wonderful attention to detail......how about tiny pewter spoons for the relish dish accompanying breakfast and with matching antique china settings! Not forgetting, breakfast was superb.

Traffic noise early in the morning was a little intrusive although we are aware the owners are in the process of fitting double glazing to all street facing windows which should rectify this issue. And, in fairness, the location does provide for a short walk to the centre of the village and its restaurants.

We loved that the location of Guest House on Hyde was in walking distance to all of Bellingen shops, cafes and restaurants Yet once you were on the property it was tranquil and away from towns bustle. Beautiful clean rooms with lovely garden view and nice ensuite. We had a lovely breakfast prepared by Wendy every morning that we were there, served on a private verandah. I felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our wonderful stay at Guest House on Hyde

Fantastic location and wonderful hosts who have thought of everything. Very private, tasteful rooms with individual verandas and a superb breakfast. We will definitely come back and have recommended this place to our friends! Restaurants, shops and pubs very close.

If we were picky our queen bed was on the smaller side as we were in the 2 + 1 room, unfortunately at the time the place was fully booked. The King rooms which were booked out, looked fantastic otherwise this review would be a 10+.

We've stayed in various places in and around Bellingen. This must have been by far the best of them all. We are sure to be back. Wendy and David created one of the unique B&Bs we all love so much. A step back in time. The port and chocolate at night, the hidden gem of a garden in back. It was just fantastic and we felt immediately at home. Thank you - and I nearly forgot the exceptional breakfast options. Delicious!

Wonderful welcoming host, very comfortable room, beautifully decorated, with queen & single bed. Appreciated the coffee machine & capsules, kettle, teas etc. Large modern ensuite bathroom & a beautifully presented breakfast , with sliced fresh fruit, a choice of cooked breakfasts & fresh plunger coffee. Property close to choice of dinner venues.

The beautiful peaceful surroundings made for a very relaxing stay. Wendy and David are both exceptional hosts who compliment each other and their delightful accommodation. The setting for breakfast was thoughtfully welcoming and could only be outdone by the culinary delights provided by Wendy.

Nothing… it was perfect!

Absolutely everything. Prime location in Bellingen, wood fire in lounge room with all sorts of unique board/table games. Beautiful modern bathrooms and spacious room with more than you need! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the owners were beyond accommodating and friendly. parking was provided, comfy bed and beautiful B&B decor throughout all rooms. Great outdoor space and pool. Not to mention, everything was so clean. Okay I’ll stop now, but honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough!

The only thing I didn’t like about this stay was that it was so beautiful it was hard to go home.
