Wonderful 2 day stay. Great location, wonderful staff, easy parking, clean quiet and comfortable room. We had dinner one night and it was excellent, the best meal had during our vacation in Austria.

The spa area was huge but unfortunately only a small area is nude. Would love to see them figure out some way to make the spa area more private to allow nude use. And as often the case, some inconsiderate guests don’t know to be quiet in the hallways but not the hotel’s fault. Breakfast was a bit expensive so we didn’t have breakfast.

We arrived by motorcycle after riding on the Grossglockner road and planned to stay for one night and then move on! We loved the hotel and Zell am See so much, we extended for an extra nite. Beds were extremely comfortable and the hotel interior very stylish and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful! Free parking in the hotel lot was also a nice bonus. Location is excellent for exploring - near all of the shops and restaurants!

There is nothing to not like other than having to leave!

Cozy authentic family-run hotel with history preserved inside. There's a fireplace in lobby bar where it's soo pleasant to take some drinks, play games or read book. Modern well furnished rooms, some of them have sauna inside, that is incredible! Beds are really comfortable and sleep here is amazing! Personell is great, friendly and responsive for any questions. And definitely location is amazing, lake and beautiful high mountains! 😍

The location very close to the lake and city center, the absolute hospitality of the staff, cleanliness, delicious food, the traditional architecture of the building and the attention to the details in the room and in the hotel furniture It is also impressive to see such an example of more than 4 generations passing the hotel tradition. Appreciated the richness and quality breakfast, as well as the daily hotel newspaper with local news and useful info. The spa is very clean and enjoyable. Everything was just perfect, definitely a location to visit again!

This hotel is amazing, I could not praise it more. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It's spotlessly clean and welcoming. The food is great and a good selection to choose from. Our room was very spacious and clean and the bed very comfy. If we return to Zell am See we will definitely stay here again. Close to shops restaurants and the lake. It was a great location for us as we were travelling on our motorbike, so it was central to all the places we wanted to go. On our first day we had a massage and used the spa facilities which are lovely and relaxing just what you need after a days riding.

Nothing really, everything was great. Only thing I could say is there was no coffee in the room. There is a kettle and fruit tea but no coffee or English tea and no milk. So on our last morning when we left very early so the breakfast was not open we would have had no tea or coffee. Luckily one of the other guests had some coffee sachets and milk with him and he gave us a couple.

The old part was beautiful and well kept. The separate block that I was in was OK clean and tidy. The room had a balcony and a lounge dining area with a kitchen and a good bathroom so perfectly adequate.

€25 for breakfast seems a little steep and this was mentioned by other guests who preferred to eat out local restaurants / cafes.

In seperate part to hotel had to walk through car park to get to hotel reception and spa. Fridge was not working and was replaced with a smaller tabletop cooler which also did not work. Hotel website shows front of hotel with flower boxes our balcony had nothing also faced a government building so not private. Early morning awoken to delivery trucks. Also room very hot no air conditioning.

Location and comfort

We paid 200 euros a night. We were provided with a kettle and tea bags but no milk, when asked for milk, I was charged 2.30 euros. As a result I bought a litre of milk which lasted 2 days, no fridge. Had to throw the rest away and bought another litre. Told by staff that providing,no milk, was eco friendly. Also, on arrival, no friendly welcome, quite officious attitude. Also, the menu didn't change all week so we ate out 4 nights.

Room was in an annexe but was large and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet Breakfast had great selection. 2 minute walk to town centre. Was given a travel card that gave free bus and train travel along with free entry to about 20 attractions plus reductions to 20 more.

Vehicle was hit and damaged in hotel car park and driver did not inform hotel. Booked for 5 nights but went home early after 3 nights due to terrible weather but no reduction in price offered.

Lobby and restaurants are pretty. Staff was very helpful with giving us directions etc. Location is a short walk to lake and is right in the historic area. Free e-bikes at the hotel.

Air conditioning did not work well so we did not sleep well. Facilities (pool etc) need a refresh as do the rooms. Rooms are very basic for the price.
