Great view of ocean and beach. A lot of whale activity visible from the unit (seasonal) . Close walk to shops, cafes, nature walks and beach access. Easy access to the North Gorge board walk, which enables great viewing of the ocean creatures - whales, dolphins, turtles, stingray, fish. Lots of Kangaroos in the grassy area of the complex. Unit is well equipped and comfortable. Bed in main bedroom was comfortable. Dishwasher and washing machine were well useful. Two bathrooms ideal for 6 people.

There were renovations underway but we were not told about this until we checked in even though I spoke to the manager for another reason, before our visit. Nor was any discount or compensation offered for the noise during the day. There were early morning movements of materials but no power tools until later in the morning until dinner time. Garden beds being replanted so looked a bit bare. The apartment only had 5 dining chairs for 6 people, not a set of wine or champagne glasses for 6 people. The plug in the ensuite sink didn't work. The curtain in the main bedroom was mouldy. These things have been reported to management and they say they will be addressed. When paying a considerable amount, then the quality needs to match.

If you get an ocean-view apartment, it's hands-down the most beautiful place to stay within a day's drive of Brisbane. Incredible views of the coast and national park, and you can hear the waves crashing. The apartment was spacious and bright, and the kitchen was well-equipped.

The building as a whole could do with some TLC. A lot of the facilities were out of order or needed maintenance. The carpets in our room needed replacing, and a more generous provision of things like towels, laundry detergent, etc would have been appreciated.

Great location. Very spacious apartments. Kitchen has everything you need and more. Though some pans should have been replaced long time ago. I didn’t even try frying an egg of the three pans we had in the apartment - they we’re so scratched that I decided to boil the eggs lol Apartments vary significantly. We rented two. One was newly renovated, another one was quite dated. Still good sized bedrooms and a lot of space. Heaps of kangaroos and birds just outside of the apartment. You can hear the ocean during the night. It was great.

Reception working hours were limited. But they were responsive to our queries. Leaking toilet in the renovated apartment.

It’s an ideal property for families including those with little children. Apartments are clean, spacious, well set up with good appliances and utensils. Near to the amazing Main Beach and fantastic South Gorge Beach, plenty of opportunities for all kinds of activities. Outside facilities include a perfect pool adjacent to a well set up and secluded barby area. Walkable to the cafes and other beaches it really is a great spot. The friendly staff are on hand to assist if needed…. I had a flat battery and Pam was able to make sure that was not a crisis! Thank you, we had a great stay.

Nice location. Able to walk to the bus stop, a few cafes. And this also needed a doctor while in town and this was also very close and walkable. The game room was also fun for the kids. There were a few loud guests but each night the groups abided by the quiet time rules and closed down the noise at the stated time.

No AC - it was quite warm while we were there but there were no fans or anything. This would’ve been nice. Also the place slept 6 comfortably but there was only living room seating for 5. This was a bit unpleasant.

The location and the view cannot be beaten.

The property is a little tired and while the kitchen was well equipped it looked a bit like the owner had just dumped all the saucepans and kitchen equipment they didnt want themselves in the apartment without organising it. Some of it was a little bit unclean. It also would have been nice for a couple of coffee pods to be left for the coffee machine.

Fabulous view of the beach and the gardens including kangaroos. Within walking distance of cafes and the famous Gorge Walk. Easy walk through the bush to Main Beach. Very relaxed atmosphere. Nearly everything you need was provided in the unit… lots of cooking utensils and some condiments, games, books, DVDs and a great lounge. Heated pool.

It’s a shame places like this have some very inconsiderate visitors who leave their rubbish by the pool and who don’t think about how they may be disturbing other people with unnecessary noise.

Incredible location - close to main beach and 5-10min walk to gorge walk and main hub of point lookout. Close to last bus stop. Great communication from staff. Lots of kangaroos in your backyard! Ocean view exceptional. Good facilities overall. Lovely pool.

Just that the extra bed was a trundle for our big group that we had to pay extra for - not very comfortable.

Fantastic view and location, which over-shadowed any other issues mentioned below. Apartment layout was great, with sea views from all 3 bedrooms.

On the rare occasions we could take your eyes off the view, we could see that the unit is pretty dated and run-down - minor water damage, locks difficult to operate or in some cases absent, and mainly 20-year old fit-out. Definitely needs a makeover. In this context, we felt that we probably over payed slightly That said, we absolutely loved it and would stay there in a heart-beat!

Fantastic location with exceptional beach views. Very comfortable and well equipped unit. Short walk through the bush to Main Beach. Very quiet apart from the music of the surf. Reception staff were very welcoming. Secure undercover parking.

I thought it was a bit expensive for 1 person but I guess that’s Straddie these days.
