Good overall hotel. The hotel photos are accurate. The location is central and somewhat quiet (see negatives), the room was well-equipped and cosy. The host was very friendly and spoke good English.

In the bathroom the sink overlaps with the shower area, so you don't have much space to shower. The mosque next door starts reading religious texts on a speaker from 6am - so if you normally get up later than 6am or are a light sleeper, it is best avoided (why is this not mentioned in the description here??? Quality of sleep is a very important thing guests should know about). The bathroom smelt of smoke even though there was no smoking in the hotel building (I assume the vents in the bathroom led to a smoking area).

Perfect location in the center of Durrës. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants, shops, pharmacies, exchanges, bars, cafes nearby. Small coffee shop on the downstairs of the Villa Gloria managed by the staff, where we can buy coffee and drinks for a good price. While the place is in the town center, it’s very chill and not noisy at all.

A bit outdated furnitures but comfortable and cannot complain if I consider the prices. Keep in mind that it’s next to the Big Mosque and the speakers are loud on the tower and the invitations/prayers can be heard 5-6 times a day, but we were aware of it, didn’t bother us actually and it even gave a good vibe.

Owned and operated by two very friendly brothers who take shifts at a small cafe just next to the entrance, and mostly sit at their terrace. It feels really homey and pleasant that they would wave to greet you everytime going in/out, and they are therefore almost always there to answer your questions. Excellent location just 20 metres form the main square's part with podium for concerts (they will send you a link to the excact location over chat, as it is a little byt different than on Booking.com-Google map, and the name of the Villa you would not see written on a wall). Overall, is seemed as extremely safe to me as possible, i.e. ideal for solo female travellers on a budget as well I guess. Given the low price and own bathroon, the older furniture and aircon are totally reasonable, and the balcony is much more of a value for ex. to dry out towels used at a beach. Both beaches is accessible by public transport (no timetables, but you find the stop for the further commercial beach just shortly behind the bus "station" in a direction off the downtown). The beach that is in a walking distance has a lot of family run private beachers where an umbrella to make the shade plus one or two chairs (the same price) cost from 5 euro (really horrible beach far away) to 7 euro (most of the places), and there are several options to chose from (with music, a bit more quiest), best to walk through, look around, and trust the feelings. Whiel the beach I preferred has broken glass from bottles on a beach, I would come again, as I really liked everything especially as there were almost no tourists these, but just mostly locals, so I liked the vibe.

It's very near the main meshita, so you hear calls for prayers at night, but they were like 10 % loud and 5 % long in comparison with those in Istanbul. But if you are super sensitive for beeding a totally quiet place at night, for ex. as you cannot fall asleep once awakan, then you better lookk for a different place.

Friendly and helpful staff. It is located at the corner of the city's main square. It is just a 10-minute walk from the long-distance bus station and the seafront. The Royal Villa of King Zog I is on a hill just behind Villa Gloria. The room is clean and has a balcony for drying laundry. I am travelling as a tourist for 6 months in Europe. The price is very affordable.

It is supee central and the room was perfect for one person. The bathroom is indeed a bit small but for one person it should be good. There is AC in the room and the room has a balcony and it is well equipped even comes with a smart TV. It is a good room for a few days and for a solo traveller.

I think the shower was too small and could've used a good scrub.

We loved our stay here. The location is perfect, so close to everything and on the square. We had a lovely balcony looking over the square but there are plenty of trees around, so we didn't feel like passer-by's were looking up at us. The staff were so helpful and friendly. You can park on the street by the apartment as well. There is also a shop right next to it. Our room was spacious and there are big windows that let in lots of sunlight. There is air conditioning as well.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The location could not be better, right in the town centre, easy to reach the seaside and the old town, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby. The room was very clean, had a good size, a balcony and all the amenities. The staff is friendly and ready to help or give suggestions. The value for the hotel was good.

I don't really have any things that I didn't like to highlight.

the location was perfect...right by the central square. The hosts were very attentive and checked with me daily if I needed anything. My questions were always answered promptly. Comfortable room with balcony. Single bed gave a good night's sleep

No shower curtain in bathroom.

The guys at reception are very nice and welcoming and even gave me a lift back to the airport. The location is amazing and just by the main square so you can see everything very quickly. The bed is also relatively comfortable.

The shower and the bathroom are a bit small and water can get on the floor quite easily but it’s a minor problem.

I booked a single budget room. Don’t really have any complaints - the room was small but comfortable. Could be a bit loud from traffic outside and people in the hallway, but it’s a really central location. The staff was great, super helpful and responsive at all times!
