Stunning deck looking out over the ocean. Loved the massive sliding doors in the lounge and main room. Big and spacious unit. Love the ability to do laundry after a day at the beach. Great red telephone- so can quickly and easily ask questions.

Need bigger mugs and glasses in the kitchen. Having a mug of tea felt like you’d only drunk a thimble full. And no teapot to make a bigger volume. Although a luxurious extra ~ the unit could do with a dishwasher- so that more time can be spent swimming/ enjoying the view and not washing dishes for the family.

we love it us clean tidy thank you for letting us to have our dog over for the night he enjoyed it honestly the owner of the place for humble and friendly My husband and I we love the shower big better than this one over here The bed was comfortable or was nice and plus it was peaceful where if I'm Auckland and then we came all the way to the top I command that place to be the perfect I didn't care thank you for letting us and thank you for the cleanness ladies letting us to use the laundry thank you.. for letting you all people that's going to stay for the accommodation I command that the the Ahipara bay motel it's a bomb the best.. I will let you know when is the next holiday thank you God bless.

The location has a wonderful beach view, the rooms are older, but very spacious. Only stayed one night so didn't cook etc. but looked to have cooking facilities and enough room for a family of 4 easily. Short walk down a steep hill to the beach. Nice balconies to sit on and enjoy the sunset. Staff were super helpful and good on communication. Would definitely stay again.

The shared balconies meant that people could kind of see into your room and we had to keep closing the blinds to get changed etc.

A super experience! This stay made our trip to New Zealand: Outstanding kind people taking care of the guests!! The restaurant is one of the best we came to know in the Pacific hemisphere. We absolutely loved this motel. It’s in a stunning position with fabulous views and a wonderful on site restaurant. We had a lovely room with a separate bedroom, both rooms had patio doors to the deck and views of the sea. We slept with our bedroom door open listening to the waves crashing on the shore below. We had a huge bathroom with a big spa bath, perfect for a soak after a long day. Check in was fab, the guy was so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant, great service and fab food! It’s far better than the description on Booking.com - so book it you won’t be disappointed!

We liked everything about the place. Amazing location and views of the ocean. Great hospitality and very friendly staff. A large balcony to enjoy the breathtaking views, restaurant onsite, SKY TV and laundry facilities. A highly recommended accommodation for a family getaway. Will definitely return in future.

Excellent location and value for money. Little disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open the night we were there but it was short trip to get fish n chips. Friendly host, clean room and probably the best option if you want private accommodation close to the surf.

Nothing. As mentioned restaurant being closed was annoying as was one of reasons for choosing this host so check if your staying over on the quieter nights and not wanting to drive for food.

Views were exceptional! Unit 15. We'll appointed with everything we needed. BBQ was handy. The staff were absolutely wonderful, please pass on our thanks to them all. (We we're the ones on the motorbikes that went out quad biking). Had dinner at restaurant final night and the food was delicious, reasonably priced and the service delightful. Thanks team.

We stayed at this property for one night as we were doing a morning horse ride along 90 mile beach. We had a room with an ocean view which was great. Bed was comfortable. Nice verandah too for a quiet drink while looking over the ocean. Highly recommend the restaurant - we had one of the best dinners of our whole trip - the lamb shanks. Staff really friendly too.

The property is getting a bit worn, and also there was no air con in the bedroom so was a bit hot for sleeping. Although you can open up the door to the verandah which was good.

Location, location. Stunning views of the beach. The sound of the surf was wonderful...after living many years and many miles away from the coast it was a joy to hear that sound again . Super friendly staff, only too willing to engage in conversation regarding the area. The meal in the upstairs restaurant was superb, one of the best fish meals ever..
