The Ahipara Holiday Park is a well presented and maintained property. The facilities including my stand alone unit were very clean and of a high standard. My unit facilities, lounge, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom were all of a very high standard. Very good water pressure and temperature. The Park layout makes provision for a host of customers and its layout affords privacy and 'quiet zones'. The front desk and reception staff were all very friendly, helpful and pleasant to interact with. I enjoyed my stay and would have liked to have stayed longer.

What didn't I like? There was nothing of note I did not like.

Facility was great clean and tidy.. my best one is the shared showers. walk in and it heats up the room straight away. best feature.. playground for kids, but the best comfy reception area with cozy couches and a blazing fire place

I liked everything but next time I want to get a family room with own bathroom n kitchen it was quite freezing wet waking up going to kids toilet needs.

We had our own wee house with a fully fenced section. Nice and private. House was clean and pretty well equipped

There was no bbq on the patio of the apartment as was advertised when we booked this particular one. And there was nowhere to dry towels, clothes etc as there was no clothesline. Would have been good to have a wee folding clothes airer in the woodrobe for guests to use. Would have been good also if there was an outside tap so we could wash sand off our feet before going inside to avoid walking sand in. But overall really happy with our stay

Loved the spaciousness & privacy; the peace & quiet; being in a motel not joined to any other unit. Loved all the gardens around the holiday park.

The new owners are aware that some maintenance is overdue & they are onto it. I’m sure any of the issues we had e.g. like tree branches rubbing against the building creating noise will be fixed very shortly.

This place is really close to the 90 mile beach access, we could walk within 5 mins. The accommodation is set amongst beautiful mature trees and gardens and all set out really well to ensure privacy and a feeling of being away from it all. Adult bed was really comfy, child's bunk beds not so much. Painfully powerful shower.

Very damp in the morning. Could do with a deep clean for mould around edges, but generally clean. Tiny home scenario so tiny sink in the bathroom.

Clean comfortable facilities. We stayed in the dorm portion of the holiday park and was not busy. The kitchen was stocked well with kitchen wares. Lots of fridge space but could see it being an issue when full. Only a 5 - 10 min walk to the beach. For the price was a good deal.

A fan in the room would be nice.

Beautiful, place with lots of tress and birds all around. lots of activities and things to do all around the place. BBQ area, laundry, bathrooms were clean and I was upgraded so I really enjoyed that :) everything was just amazing. I honestly didn’t want to leave. Will definitely go back.

The communal kitchen is a little bit small comparing to the size of the park , however it was totally manageable and good to use.

Comfy beds and peaceful nature feel. Very relaxing

Other large camping groups taking over the full facilities I went to use the bathroom and all toilets, showers and vanities were used so went to sit outside and the same group had taken all swing chairs and the large table allowing no room for any other campers. Just something to note.

We had a very nice cabin with a terrace and pleasant outlook. We didn't spend much time there but it was a good base for exploring 90 mile beach, (one end walkable from the site) and Cape Reinga. Good facilities, we were able to do washing in the evening. Cabin was spacious.

The bathroom was accessed via the bunk bedroom. Not an issue for us as there were just two of us but it might have been an issue if anyone had been sleeping in the bunk room. We used that room for our luggage.
