Location was good and owner m et us in the street. Otherwise would have been possibly difficult to find as it is just a door on a street. The owners recommended pizzeria behind the property was excellent and very cheap

It wasn't really clear in the advert that the kitchen area was shared with other people staying at the property, although it didn't turn out to be a problem for us. Also the room was mezzanine and the stairs up to the bedroom were spiral and quite steep so coy e a problem if you need to use a 'normal' staircase

We absolutely loved this place! The room itself was very large, with more storage than we needed, the bathroom was immaculate, and the kitchen was great for breakfast as well as a way to meet the other guests. We were in Civitavecchia for 2 nights before boarding a transatlantic cruise, and it was perfect for us. A 10 minute walk to the port entrance, 2 minute walk from restaurants and shops. It was cozy and convenient, just what we needed. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the guest experience, and it shows.

Probably not in their control, but the main hall and stairway in the building is very dark at night, and the motion detector light doesn't go on until the top of the stairs.

The owners of this property really had their guests in mind when they set up this property. They had a wonderful array of treats, coffee, teas, water, etc. The beds were super comfortable. Great location- very close to cruise shuttle and within walking distance to port area. Host/owner Erwin was incredibly generous and kind - that was very much appreciated.

There is no natural light available and the property feels a little subterranian. Overall the property was good for our short stay and I would recommend it to others. Adding some mirrors to the main bedrooms and also the upstairs rooms would be super helpful for when multiple people are staying there & they need to get ready when the bathrooms are in use.

Everything was perfect for us, 12 out of 10 if I could. Erwin, our host was wonderful, very kind and generous with the breakfast provisions, and also his time and attentiveness to us. The only thing I would mention that the staris to the mezzanine bedroom are fairly steep so not suitable for everyone, check which room you book if this may apply to you.

Facility is very well located and appointed. Erwin is very gracious and accommodating. We’d considered staying in Rome but decided to try Civitavecchia. We were pleased with our choice. Facility is very clean, properly appointed. Geographically convenient for our needs.

We would have enjoyed more time there. We went to Civitavecchia after a cruise, time was our enemy. Streets were narrow and usually lined with cars. The city is over 2000 years old; I suspect that accounts for street width.

Host Edwin is amazing. The location is close to everything. Nice restaurants 1 street over but we preferred to go have a nice pizza supper on the waterfront. Great prices compared to Roma. Sesta Strada rooms & amenities plenty & lots of choice for breakfast, American coffee, expresso. 1 room sleeps 4. Not sure about the other. Probably sleeps 2. Thank you Edwin We will definitely book here again on our next Mediterranean cruise.

We liked everything

Special treats were provided and lots of bottle water was available in the fridge. Breakfast provisions were ample and varied. Excellent air conditioning throughout the guesthouse at a very hot time of year. Erwin helped us to sort out how to get to the cruise shuttle.

We had a little bit of difficulty with our key but think that was us! The bed was a little on the firm side but in terms of value for money this is probably minor unless you have back issues.. we don’t. There are some tricky stairs to navigate and it’s hard work in 32 degree heat but this adds to the overall experience. Just take care

Spotless shared kitchen with breakfast pastries and cereal supplied. One of us required gluten free options and they were made available in great variety Room was spacious. Air con was fabulous!

The metal spiral stairs are noisy and would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues.

Highly recommend. Owner did everything to ensure I had a wonderful stay. Location was great. Plenty of options for the included breakfast. Not too far to walk (about 750m) after getting off a cruise ship at the cruise terminal. Pleasure to stay here and will certainly book again before/after a cruise.

Erwin was a wonderful host and helped us with our bags up the stairs on arrival and departure. Hospitality was brilliant and well stocked breakfast supplies for our stay. Exceptionally clean facilities. We really enjoyed our time at Sesta Strada.

The stairs to the loft were spiral, and the bathroom was downstairs for our apartment, and navigating at night needed extra care. The bed was firmer than what we are used to, but that is a very personal choice.
