Ever since seeing pictures I've wanted to stay at this convent hotel and it was even better than I expected. If you stay you can explore the property freely, and there is so much to see. Annex room was decent enough but I'd stay in the convent itself next time. Enjoyed the adults-only pool and were able to order G&Ts delivered. Breakfast was also very nice. Walked one of the trails (6km) around the property. The on-site restaurant is very pretty and the food is quite good, though the restaurants in the nearest village are better.
Our annex room was at the end and seemed to have a bit of a damp issue on one wall - I'm usually sensitive to that sort of thing but I didn't notice. The pillows were not my favourite, but staff gave us extras when we asked

The convent compound is extraordinarily well located, lodged on a hillside among trees. The labyrintic interior with rooms and terraces on different levels is amazing and fun. The hotel made sure that the wood-burning fireplaces at strategic places are kept burning! The old nucleus with its hallways covered with painted tiles is stunning. The monks' cells were successfully transformed into comfortable guest rooms.
The quality of the food could be better, for both main meals and breakfast. My dish of meat was salty that I had to send it back! The fruit smelled of onion!

It was an adventure to stay here.. The convent is spectacular and the you can easily spend some time wandering around and looking at all the tiles, chapels, fountains, hallways etc. They have a piano, a biljart, a lounge area so no need to stick to your room. The personnel at reception and breakfast was very helpful. The breakfast was complete and could be used in de courtyard, as well as dinner which made it extra special. They where very welcoming to young children.
There was hardly any light in the bathroom and the shower was not comfortable. The beds where okay. The historic building also means that the rooms and hallways are quite noisy due to echo, but fortunately most guests where not that loud walking trough the hallways in the evening. The restaurant was fine, but the waiter could use some training. Mixed up quite a lot and eventually we waited an hour on our food.

The hotel is gorgeous! Next time, I would book in the summer (which is not in May), so the pool bar would be open. The grounds, breakfast, dinner, and all the nooks and areas to explore were amazing!
Our rooms (in the stable and in the annex) lacked mini-fridge (although the front desk will hold your food items) and no coffee pot in the room. The shower heads, in both rooms, would fly loose and spray water everywhere. We would have used an outlet by our bed in the stable room, but not a huge issue.

We love staying at this hotel: beautiful grounds and views also rose courtyard and outdoor pool area; hotel is filled with history and character; beautiful and cosy living room;, our favourite common area is games room and this time we discovered another secret billiard room. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Comfortable bed / pillows and soft bed linen. Slippers/ robes provided in the room; nice toiletries. We stayed in the annex house (cross hill). During summer , you have advantage of enjoying views sitting on the little terrace outside the room. This is definitely a special place to spend special time.
Not always possible to get a room with a double bed (our preference) rather than a twin. But this is the case in most of hotels. As suggestion, the hotel may consider marking parking spaces - this would help to optimise the limited parking space.

Everything! It been several years now that I stay at this hotel and I have never been disappointed! Wonderful breakfast, very welcoming staff always helpful, attentive and friendly. Spacious room. Having a drink before diner at the cloisters was, as usual, very gratifying. Having a meal at the restaurant Ermita is a must! Great and gastronomic food in a wonderful environment. I will always be back!
Nothing to say

A very interesting convent in lovely countryside. We could explore the historic building. We were here in November so didn’t get chance to use the swimming pool but that looked worth coming back for. There are a couple of great walks laid out in the Convent estate. We had a good dinner in the restaurant. The room and breakfast were excellent, staff very helpful. We have already recommended it to friends who also travel in the area.
If you want a very modern and sleek hotel in an area with bars and restaurants around in walking distance then this is not for you, but there was nothing here we didn’t like.

The convent is really a gem, we are so glad we picked this location; It’s absolutely stunning and the views are amazing. Very unique experience. breakfast is very good; staff are friendly; The room we stayed at (room 131)was very good and has a couple of chairs and umbrellas right at the front with beautiful views; The restaurant at the hotel is excellent; Our son loved the pool and the play room;
Could use a little fridge in the room; some musty smell in the corridors in some parts of the hotel, but I guess it is expected given the fact it is a very old building;

Breakfast is great. The space is beautiful, and our family joining us on this trip loved it.
We asked for a room, ended up getting a tiny room in the main building that stank of cigarettes. (gross) We asked for another room, and let's say that changing the room was not an easy task. I will be coming back, but please make sure smoking is not allowed in rooms and that you do not give a smoky room to a non-smoker, we are not in the 1980's anymore.

The geographical setting of the place is exceptional, located in the mountains. The convent has beautiful old tiles and a very organic layout, with rooms and patios on different levels connected in unexpected manners. There are two trails for walks, one long one short, the view is fantastic!
Breakfast could be better, and service of the restaurant was a bit slack.
