Food was excellent, except for the toast at breakfast which was too hard to cut in the salmon and avocado toast dishes. Everything else was delicious and perfectly cooked. The room and all facilities were beautiful and immaculately clean. The staff was wonderful and made us feel very welcome.

We were told at check-in that because our breakfast was included, we should just charge it to our room and it would be removed at checkout. At checkout breakfasts were on our bill and we pointed that out. We were told the charges would be removed on our final bill. They were not removed. I emailed the staff when I received the statement the next day. It has been a week and I have not received any communication and our bill has not been corrected.

The hotel is extremely beautiful! It is right in the UVA district so you can stroll around a bit. The staff had a special thing for us for our anniversary - a complimentary bottle of champagne, wine and cake. The hotel is very clean, very quite and very high value. If you want a 5 star feel, this is a great place to be in.

Breakfast was good but a bit expansive for not to much things... The hotel has a Vale service that you have to use unless you want to start looking for another spot near by, it costs 26$ per day and you can take and return as much as you like.

First of all the setting was beautiful. It is a grand and luxurious feeling hotel with a warm and welcoming staff to give it that boutique feeling all at the same time. They are one of the last hotels in the US that is truly dog friendly and not trying to make money off of your dog. They welcome them and there are many special details, like a 2 hour cocktail and bites offered every evening, a fabulous bar and restaurants, the entire place is immaculate and I can't saw enough about the staff. We pass through VA often and this is our new spot. We can't wait to return.

It is not our first time staying here. Everything is wonderful. Only one complaine, as we were check-in , the the person was slightly rude and didn't even checked if we have free breakfast so if i didn't point this out we would have to pay for it twice , but it's only one and only occasion.Everything else and everybody else were very accommodating and sweet .

On Saturday morning, breakfast ( it is a restaurant) opens up at 7 30. It is slightly late if you have to have an early start to your day.

The room and the hotel staff were wonderful

Sat at the bar for a drink before dinner for 15 minutes and were only served one drink in that time. The bar staff did not check back once after the initial drink service. We ate in the sports bar and the service was like the bar. I own several restaurants and wait staff have their assigned stations; this place seemed to work on the "I'll get to you when I have time". We waited over 10 minutes to have our order taken and was only checked on once throughout the meal. I was charged $172.00 for 2 burgers, 2 drinks, and a soda, so the staff was not paying any attention to what they were doing or charging.

Beautiful hotel location which was convenient to UVA campus. My room overlooked a stunning, well manicured courtyard with hiking trails. The room had a with gorgeous bathroom and a modern designed shower and very comfortable bed.

The weekend rate for my stay was too expensive!! My room was a floor above the kitchen and the smoky smell of grilled meat permeated above. TV with intermittent delays while watching which was annoying. In addition, you can hear doors slamming in the hall. Pets are allowed so that definitely not ideal, in my opinion.

Very pleasant stay. Great location. My wife and I very much enjoyed the shower, and the caramels in the mini bar were delicious. The bed was comfortable and there were multiple pillows. The robes were a nice touch, but it was unclear that if you wore them in the hotel if that cost 150 or if it was just if you took them home.

Had some technical difficulties with the text system you have to use to retrieve your vehicle from the valet parking lot. Had to go down to the front desk to get it sorted out. The pillows were too soft for my taste and did not provide adequate support. So, bring your own pillow.

Very clear, open atmosphere, everything looked modern and well maintained.

When I booked on booking.com I thought that was all I would owe. However the hotel has a non-negotiable valet service that they charge an additional almost $30 for per night. This is NOT complimentary for the guests. I was not told this at check in or check out and had to contact the hotel to find out why my card was charged the additional amount. It was a nice hotel but make sure you are aware of the $30 extra per night that is non-negotiable to stay there for the valet service.

The property is lovely and so good for a working stay - fire places, lots of seating areas, etc. Very convenient to 250 west and law school, etc. Nice breakfast but no hot water for tea, no spoons to stir tea or eat yogurt/berry dish, Other things were missing (cannot remember now.) Not a catastrophe, but not as good as it should have been.

Electricity was out at 2:20 until after 3am in our room. Hall and outside lights were on, but not a good feel for middle of the night to have no light and no charging and not know why or when we might see lights again. Called for valet parking and the electronic voice said car would be ready in 7 minutes.. 18 minutes later when we asked about the hold-up, they had not received notice and had to scramble - making us late for appointment.

When we visited the hotel had only been open for a couple of months so the decor was fresh and sharp. Our room was large and well appointed and most importantly spotlessly clean. The staff we encountered were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and I can honestly say they went ‘above and beyond’ to make us feel welcome.

I would have preferred to have been able to park but the valet parking was quick and effective. As a UK visitor it’s just not what we’re used to.
