The king room with balcony was spotlessly clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was equipped with clean white towels (which looked new) and shampoos and soaps. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker were a great addition for our 3 night stay. The balcony had a table and 2 chairs for us to enjoy the winter sunsets and a glorious view of the lake and park. It was a perfect get away for a much needed break. Sue greeted us upon arrival with a warm welcome and let us know that all stations on the TV were available to watch, including Amazon prime programs which did not ask for a subscription or password. The downtown core of Orillia was only a 10 minute drive away and lots of options for take out food and restaurants within a couple of minutes drive from the Inn. Tim Hortons was at the end of the street - just a short walkaway. We loved everything about Lakeside Inn and will definitely return in the summer with our grandchildren. Thank you Sue for a wonderful getaway.

There was nothing to dislike. The parking spots and driveways were plowed and so it was easy to park infront of the door to unpack and settle into the cozy room, (even in the middle of a blizzard!)

We have found our perfect spot to stay when visiting Orillia. A quiet, clean place to be after traveling from Sault Ste Marie to visit friends and attend activities at Casino Rama in Orillia. Lakeside Inn is across from a beautiful little park on the water where you can have a picnic and look out at the boats on the water . Located just minutes from the Casino and just minutes from Costco on the way home the next day .

The Lakeside Inn does not have a restaurant although Tim Hortons is two minutes away and other restaurants are nearby.

The owner was exceptionally pleasant. The check in area had beautiful jewelry & other things for sale. Noticed pop& ice available. Also board games for rainy day stay with kids. The room so clean & bar fridge , microwave & coffee maker in the room. The fridge had a small freezer large enough for ice packs. The bed & pillows so comfortable. TV had enough channels for everyone. The view from the window was beautiful. Located in Atherley so not far from Rama. The price we paid was exceptional value. Looking forward to another stay. Highly recommend!!!!

Cute little room with a beautiful view of Lake Simcoe. Parking right at the door was nice. Balcony was a plus. Nice sized frig with freezer. Coffee maker. TV worked well.

Noisy air conditioner. Pungent older smell to the room covered up with strong smell of bleach. Bathroom needed some kind of shelf to store toiletries on. Balcony felt spongy and a little unsafe in spots.

Loved location. Very quainte and serves our needs. Comfy and warm in the winter. Only thing I would say is parking is a bit uncertain. We did not have parking near our room and luckily got the last spot on the property- but was a cold, icy and dark late night walk to the room up hill. For the back upstairs rooms should have a guaranteed space for your room/ door. But overall great stay - would highly recommend.

I am a volunteer driver for medical appointments. This one was to Barrie Hospital a 7 hour drive from home. Having a room at Lakeside is like staying with family - interested in what is happening with you. Other guests friendly. Having the Lake across the road has all of us sitting outside at picnic tables. "Home Sweet Home Inn". View is exceptional!

I liked everything.

A very large room, VERY clean, with a fantastic view of the lake (just across the road). There was also a play area there (for those with little ones) and couple of picnic tables. It would be a great place to just be beside the water, soaking up some sun. :-) One other thing, when I checked in, the lady at the desk charged me LESS than the price I had been given when I did the online booking. That was an unexpected bonus!

There was no telephone in my room, which really - in this age when EVERYONE has a cell phone - wasn't a biggy. Everything else was just fine!

Good view of lake tho snow covered - better in summer. Facilities were adequate-bed warm. Looked clean other than radiator which needed attention. Suited our needs for an overnight

Radiator heating needed cleaning. The one bed creaked a lot but bed had warm coverings which was good re drafty door. TV was not user friendly and seemed to cut in and out.

This is an excellent two-star motel. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the unobstructed view of Lake Simcoe was gorgeous. The hotel's owner was responsive and engaging. Because we knew there was a microwave and fridge in the room we brought some of our own food, while also enjoying the cafes and restaurants of Orillia.

That we couldn't stay longer.

Room was very clean and simply appointed, the Inn Keepers are very friendly and are clearly working hard to "refresh" the Inn - there is a very "organic and cozy" vibe here: The check in area has candles to purchase, games to borrow, a bar fridge with refreshments to purchase and many other nice touches. The bed was very comfortable, water views amazing - morning coffee out on that balcony was just lovely (there is literally a Tim Hortons 2-3 minutes down the road); easy access to downtown restaurants and shops. Very close to a waterfront park for swimming or putting a kayak/canoe in the water to do some paddling - this park also has paved trails for biking or walking, lots of picnic tables and benches if you just want to have a picnic by the water. If you want the full beach experience, Couchiching Provincial Beach Park is a short drive (10 minutes by car, 18 minutes by bicycle): go to the beach for the day AND come back to a clean, cool room, a shower, fresh clothes and maybe head downtown for dinner (Highly recommend Kenzington Burger Bar on Mississaga Street 😊) or, enjoy the sunset on your balcony with some take out - we will definitely be back!
