The hotel itself is fantastic. The reason for the low score overall comes from having to deal with cash app and cash apps ridiculous hold on your security deposit. They literally hold your deposit money for 30 days, literally a month, after it's released by the hotel. Good on the hotel for not holding your money.

The fact that using cash app to book, due to my own ignorance, results in the holding your money from you for 30 days. I'd urge the hotel itself to question whether or not they wanted to continue a partnership with a skeezy company that holds money hostage. It reflects poorly.

Bed was so comfy and everything was clean

All the lights were out three did not work and it was hard to get power outlets unless I wanted to work from the bathroom sink. I had to cancel my reservation as I work remote and their WiFi was out but the team was kind and get that it’s not their fault. Ground trash cans were filled and over flowing with trash when I arrived around 5pm but were taken care of by the time I left just driving in did not give a good impression

I was expecting the worst due to the reviews I was reading online. If you go by the negative reviews you are going to pass on a awesome deal. When I arrived to our rooms, I was surprised as to how clean they were. The beds were really comfortable (better then the fancy resort we are staying in now), the AC worked really well (too good , bring a blanket) the bathrooms were really cleane, the water got hot fast, and the pressure was awesome too. We slept like babies.. It was quiet and no one woke us up. I left my hair extensions, and when I called they were super nice & told me they were there... need to call back to have the manager send them to me. We only stayed 1 night. Super value. The TV had lost of channels.

My husband and my friend want to be whiny like the people in the negative reviews. Husband: furniture was old and not all drawers opened. Phone was without a cord (but we all have phones... lol). Hair dryer was provided but smoked when used. Nevertheless, it was a great stay, especially for the price. Friend:: The A/C was leaking but notified front desk and maintenance was there ASAP and fixed the problem.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got there a little after 1 am and they got us right into our room no problem.

Breakfast should be available a little longer. We wanted to sleep in and couldn't do that if we wanted to take advantage of the Breakfast that was available.

The location was great and staff was very helpful. They was in the middle of remodeling so I would stay there again to see if things got better.

The breakfast wasn't as nice as other Laquinta's and they didn't keep it clean while people was going and coming to eat. Needs to be remodeled in a corner spot not room for everyone to get food.

After reading some concerning reviews about bedbugs and fleas, we were definitely worried but we checked the room, top to bottom 3 times and found no bugs. My only complaint is the room’s hardwood floor was not swept at all.

Staff is absolutely wonderful. I have been staying a while and they all have been very kind and helpful. The location is great with easy access to Saint Petersburg and clearwater.

The first room I had was cold and very damp but the new room I moved to is much better!

Breakfast was great. Plenty of good healthy food. Awesome location. Definitely recommend la Quinta to anyone who’s looking for a great place to get away and interact with the amazing staff.

Actually the la Quinta on park blvd met my every need.
