The hotel was located perfectly for seeing Mont Saint-Michel and other area sites. It was also located conveniently near multiple dining options. The room was clean and had ample room and storage for our belongings. Also, the reception staff was fantastic. The staff that checked me in spoke English very well, which was a huge plus, given that my ability to speak French is very limited. It made the entire process much easier than our stay elsewhere the prior evening.

The only drawbacks I had was the lack of air conditioning. I do understand that this is normal across most of the country, but it only was really an issue when having to leave the windows open to cool off, and our room was directly above the front entrance where people would smoke cigarettes and the smoke would end up coming into our room.

Location ideal, you cannot get closer to the Mont Saint Michel, the free shuttle bus stops right in front of the hotel, you are free to come and go any time you want. We were in the room for 4 ppl, it is basically the surface of two rooms, connected by a steep staircase, it was a great setup for us, the kids enjoyed the staircase very much :). The breakfast was standard but good with some local products. The staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel design is a bit old fashioned, but clean, and they have always cleaned our room, made our beds etc when we asked, I appreciated that.

The lack of elevators can be a bit bothersome, and I would have appreciated a coffee/snacks machine for the evenings as there are no supermarkets in the closed part around the hotel, just restaurants, but you do not always need a full meal.

Clean and modern hotel. The triple room was of a really decent size. Usually hotels just put an additional bed and call it a triple room, and there is almost no place left around beds, but Gabriel is a fair triple room: a lot of space and good room layout. Decent breakfast. Very close to the start of the bridge to Mont-Saint-Michel. Parking at the hotel (10€ per day).

There is no elevator. It is expected when a hotel is located in some old house in a city center, but it is a quite new hotel with a lot of space around, so it is weird that they didn't build a lift. Given that the reception is 24/7, I hope that there will be people to help with luggage if needed (we handled it ourselves, no problem), but it is worth taking into account, for example, if you arrive at night and can't lift luggage on your own.

I spent two nights at the hotel and had an overall good experience. The continental breakfast buffet was excellent, ensuring a great start to the day. There are plenty of spots available to park the car. The hotel staff were extremely nice and accommodating. From check-in to check-out, they were always ready to assist with a smile, making you feel very welcome. One of the standout features was the free bus service to Mont-Saint-Michel. This added a lot of value to our stay, as it made visiting the famous landmark free and enjoyable. If not, you can enjoy a 30-minute walk to reach the place, while enjoying the amazing view. Overall: delightful stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Parking the car is a bit too expensive.

Location is great. You can walk to Mont Saint-Michel if you want (30-40 min), also a free shuttle bus stop is in front of the hotel. Entering the area by car costs 10 euro/ 24 hours, but it's worth to pay for staying very close to Mont Saint-Michel. Room was sparkling clean. Hotel staff are nice and friendly, speaking English.

Our bathroom sink drain smelled. They cleaned it and once the smell was gone. However later on it came back. Probably some problems with drainage.

Getting access to the area in which the hotel was located was tricky. You needed to get a code which was not supplied before we arrived. There were further problems with the access gate when we had to leave the site in the evening. Also there was no restaurant in the hotel despite the hotel description and because other restaurants in the vicinity had no space we were forced to leave the area in the evening and face the problems with the access gate.

Probably the most comfortable bed I have experienced in France.. I find most beds to be too firm for me. The staff is amazing. The shower has ample room and the pressure was appreciated. The location, across from the shuttle was convenient, but we opted to walk to Mont-Saint-Michel. Very dog friendly as well!

Mont-Saint-Michel is very overrated. During the day the crowds are stifling and unbearable. I recommend visiting after 18:00. Mont-Saint-Michel is stunning from the outside but very lacking upon entry and within. I realize this is not the fault of the hotel, but it is also the reason to stay in the hotel.

Exclusive location to visit Le Mont Saint Michel, near the shuttle bus stop to Le Mont Saint Michel. Two restaurants and shops just in front and beside the hotel. The room (ours was a superior room) is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is clean. Staff is kind and gives any information you may need to visit the abbey and have dinner in the restaurants nearby

The price, a little expensive, and the mattress was a bit mushy

Perfect location, as the hotel is right opposite to the bus stop. The connecting bridge is 200 meters away and one can have the impressive views of the island. We had a spacious room on the first floor which was convenient. They have parking space right outside the hotel. As the hotel is inside the La Caserne area, there is a parking fee of 10 Euros per day. The breakfast is so-so.

The staff are friendly and helpful. They booked a dinner reservation for us in the evening. The room was clean.

We weren't informed about the barrier to enter Mont St.Michel, and you needed a 6-digit code. This I should have been emailed. Lucky we met a very helpful french man who told me I had the wrong number for the hotel, he found the correct one and called it for me. All this was booked with Booking.com. Maybe in the future I will check phone numbers!!!
