The staff were so nice and welcoming and helpful especially as one person had to use a walking aid and unfortunately the lift was out of order so they assisted her all the way up the stairs to her room. We were in Derby for a wedding so parked at the hotel and used local taxis which the staff arranged for us. The bed and bedding were very comfy I slept really well. Breakfast was really good and filling I had the English cooked and enjoyed it while my friend had the continental which she devoured. Our stay was very good would recommend and also book again if I'm in the area 😊.

There really isn't anything I didn't like just a few finishing touches maybe: the draws in the room had dust and bits in just needed hoovering and wiping. Some of the paint work could do with finishing. My only down thing was I had no bedside table for my water bottle and no plug near the bed to charge my phone and looking around the room there aren't many and the TV was a long way away to be able to watch from the bed. That's all.

Spacious room and very pleasant reception and breakfast area. Clean throughout. Pleased that they provided plenty of tea, coffee, milk , bottle of water and toiletries. The room has a main light and bedside lights that were very pleasant. Nice feature wallpaper behind the bed. Great to have a bath or shower, as most hotels just have showers these days. Good buffet breakfast and cooked breakfast was good portion. Night staff available if you return back later than planned.

cheap sausages at breakfast . Grouting or sealant around bath needed replacing , but otherwise excellent. Steep hill to get from car park to hotel. Glad they have hand rail to assist if needed. Bed comfortable, but it creaked when I turned over. These are minor issues and I would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was not what I expected no choice of how you egg was cooked, given vegetarian sausages 2 out of 3 days no bacon, no brown bread , the coffee was awful the machine isn't filled with the correct branded coffee is advertised, . There isn't enough staff on when there's a function wedding etc , one member of staff trying to do everything for 30 people , other members of staff brought in when it was already at crisis point .

Great value for money and reception and bar area was really nicely decorated. Most of the staff friendly, beds comfy enough and everywhere was clean.

Man on reception in the morning 13/07/24 was a bit blunt. There was no cutlery left at breakfast and no waiting staff to be seen, so I asked at reception and instead of an apology or assistance, he just said 'ask someone in the breakfast bit', to which I said there isn't anyone otherwise I would have asked them...and then I got a sigh, he just seemed reluctant to help. He also asked on checkout if the stay was OK and I said yes (because overall it was), and THEN he asked me to leave feedback which I thought was a little sly. You should accept feedback whether positive or negative so that you can be the best hotel possible. Lastly, the rooms are a little outdated but that didn't bother us too much.

The room was big, with a bath and quiet at the back of the property. The staff were really friendly and you couldn't complain about the free parking and price of the room at all! The bed was really comfy, and actually, I really liked the blue glittery wallpaper 😆. We didn't eat, but the restaurant smelled really good!

There could have been a fan in the room, but luckily, it wasn't that hot. The check-in process was a bit old-fashioned (ID and actual credit card presented). But instructions were sent beforehand, so it's not a problem.

Room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. Nice towels and great bath. Decent sized room with comfy bed. Good lighting. Plenty of storage space and tea/coffee in the room. Friendly staff especially the young girl on breakfast duty. Breakfast was decent especially as it was included in room price. Cooked breakfast available to order, or there's plenty of toast, fruit and pastries too. We had a problem with the TV in our room, but once reported a friendly man came up straight away and fixed it for us, so no complaints there!

The room was VERY hot even though it's almost Dec and we didn't have any heating on, and we had all the windows open. The door to the room has a very dodgy lock, it's difficult to close. And on our second night the door actually popped widely open at 6.30am and we thought someone was coming in. Room 102. None of this ruined our stay though, they're just things that need looking at. 😊

We really enjoyed our stay. Courteous reception staff, easy check in. Our room, 105, was lovely. Spacious, spotlessly clean including the bedding and towels. The tea and coffee facilities were excellent, the bottled water a nice touch. We had a drink in the bar and the staff were attentive and polite. We will definitely use the restaurant on our next visit. A great experience overall.

We cannot think of anything except my partner has a fused ankle and struggles with the stairs. Our room was on the 1st floor so not a problem and I imagine we could request this on our next visit if there is not a lift. Honestly not a criticism.

Staff very helpful and professional. Bedroom was spotless and beds were very comfortable. I would gladly stay there again. Food and service in the restaurant was superb and great value for money. Overall it would be hard to beat this hotel for value for money.

The bathroom, although clean, looked like the tiling and fitting out had been done by a welder who kept his gloves on while he was doing it. There were some signs of mould forming on some of the dodgy grouting. The toilet, sink and bath were clean thankfully.

Our checking in was super as we didn't arrive until after 9pm. Sorted quickly. Staff very good including the restaurant staff. Food from Amed was absolutley delicious and breakfast very good also. Hotel was nice and would stay there again if we were in the area.

Our room was adequate for our over night stay but a little dated and the bed I could feel the springs. There had obviously been a leak from up above and a clear water mark visible and right where the main light was so will need looking at by the hotel.. walls quite thin and we could hear the nxt door people who were clearly enjoying thereselves.

Newly refurbished. Good sized room with a view! Very clean. Good breakfast with choice of continental or full English breakfast. Staff very friendly - a warm welcome on arrival. Would stay again if in the area.

The lift was out of action and our floor was on the second floor with some steep stairs. The bed, whilst comfortable, must have had an old framework and was very creaky. Plenty of car parking spaces to the rear but a very steep slope to the car park.
