Wonderful and helpful staff, which was exceptionally friendly and professional, provided very helpful tips for stay/ area/ outings, with great communication. Learned, that the building has a lot of interesting history. Impeccably clean place. Spacious room and bathroom. Tasty, high quality and varied breakfast. Located in a (quiet, high quality) pedestrian zone, but accessible by car to drop off bags. Just a very short walk to the lakeside promenade, with lots of restaurants, and the boat landing. We had a great couple of days there and loved the area.

Al Torchino Charme is a great hotel very centrally located in Ascona. the hotel was modern and well equipped. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The hotel overall is a great value for money and I would put 5 stars if the breakfast was better. Property doesn’t have a parking but you can park shortly for checkin and check out. There is a discount for the city parking please request.

Breakfast could bring improved very mediocre and the area should be more protected from insects (e.g. flies)

walking distance to lake only 100 meters....also good for parking as they have a parking close by which has a good daily rate of 18 CHF....hotel advise nicely how to use it...and still can drive to hotel to unload or load language...rooms are not too big but smart layout...big bed and big bathroom

This was perhaps the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Besides that, accommodations were excellent for a small hotel. Breakfast was wonderful and staff was friendly and caring. Location excellent, right around the corner from the lake.

Charming hotel in the center of Ascona with wonderful breakfast. The room was great and comfortable and had everything you needed. We ended up prolonging our stay for one more night and while it wasn't possible for us to keep the same room, the staff were able to provide us with another one.

Reaching the hotel by car was not possible, so we had to park outside the center and walk for 5-10 minutes from a nearby parking garage. It wasn't an issue but something worth mentioning for people with a lot of luggage.

The room we stayed at felt as if it was not following the rest of the hotel. The hotel has a mix of traditional and new but the room felt only new Parking was not at location (not possible to be at location as the hotel is in the old town) but super easy to park and access to check in and out

The hotel was recently renovated so all the facilities and the room was very clean. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and had excellent coffee! The staff specifically Simon was very helpful in getting our room situation settled as well as helping us provide transportation for the older members of our family. The hotel is located feet away from the main plaza of Ascona and in the middle of all the shopping in the city. It was a 5-7 minute walk from the bus station.

Breakfast has all you need to start your day in a European or even North American style.

The only thing that is missing is parking. For a weekend the price at the local parking not far away from the hotel is ok-ish. For a week it starts to become expensive. So, some discount from the hotel would definitely be a plus.

The place is simply amazing! I was lucky to be one of their first guests as I checked-in on the first day they opened which I only realised on the second day. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are very beautiful and spacious especially the bathroom. Also, the towels were the fluffiest I have ever seen! The breakfast buffet is rich of options and all I tried was delicious. Additionally, the location is superb. It is on a very beautiful road in the center of Ascona as well as very close to the main road along the lake. All of which is pedestrian zone. I can definitely recommend staying in this hotel and I'm sure that I will be back soon and I wouldn't choose a different hotel.

Newly renovated rooms. Nice bathroom. Confortable bed. In the family accomodation, rooms separated by real door, not just some fancy visual separation. Large table in the second room. No noise at night. Good breakfast in quiet inner yard.
