Very good location, quiet, easy to reach the bus, ferry to Valletta also reachable by walking 15 min. clean, correct price for the services and category. Hostess and entire staff very nice and helpful, offering all necessary information

Not a bad mark, just to be aware that after 8 p.m area is very quiet , no restaurants or shops open around if you arrive late and need water or meal

From the moment we arrived, the experience was incredible. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight, served with breathtaking views that made every morning special. The location is perfect if you're looking for a quieter area, yet still close to Violetta. It offers the best of both worlds — peace and convenience. The owner went above and beyond by allowing us to leave our bags after checkout and even offered us a place to shower before our flight, free of charge. They also provided beach towels at no cost, which was a lovely extra touch. Everything about this property — from the service to the views — was simply amazing. Highly recommended!

The welcome and ongoing communication with the host was excellent. The view was incredible - I appreciated a simpler room at a reasonable cost to enjoy a view that usually costs much more. Breakfast was simple but more than enough to start the day. Location is good if you aren't interested in having a lot of restaurant options and activity close by. It's an easy walk to the Three Cities and the bus stop was close. Rinella Beach across the hill was a good spot for a swim.

There was nothing I particularly disliked. For the price paid and the view the rooms were fine, but don't expect luxury. I didn't mind the quieter location for the great view but it's not a buzzing area.

A beautiful hotel in a superb location, full of history and a particularly welcoming host. A hotel set up in a beautiful building, like the entire historical area in which it is located. Breakfast is served on the hotel terrace, which offers an incredibly beautiful view. Here you can sit and enjoy your coffee early in the morning, as well as in the evening, after you return from your walk, take your partner and a bottle of wine, sit relaxed and look at Valletta, the historical buildings, Fort St Angelo, the harbor full of boats.... You will fall asleep with an incredible image in your mind. Early in the morning, people run along the long promenade, some enjoy their coffee on the two terraces where the locals sit. You have 3 restaurants near the hotel, I recommend D Kalkara Regatta, where you have everything you want, from pizza, seafood pasta and carbonara, to the famous rabbit prepared in the Maltese style so tasty. I recommend you to order with confidence everything that is on the menu, it is particularly tasty. Also, as drinks, the wine is good, it goes with the rabbit, and for beer lovers, the local CISK is very good, the Lager and Excel type (which is a little stronger). From here you can access the cities of Birgu and Cospicua on foot, if you are a fan of walking and taking pictures. If not, UBER or BOLT is frequently used, the prices being relatively low. Do not use the bus, it is not worth how much Uber or Bolt costs, because you waste time at the stations until it appears. For those who want to visit Malta, to see all the beautiful cities full of history, this is the ideal location to stay. If you want scandal and music, night parties until the morning, choose St Julian's near the city of Sliema or... Ibiza, it's the same

This was one of the best stays ever! Doreen and Antoine are the sweetest and nicest hosts. They helped us with all our queries and shared the tips and tricks that only the locals know. They were super patient and accommodating. The property is beautiful, and the location is amazing - very good connectivity. I was there for more than a week, but they made it feel like home. Very warm and perfect value for money. Excellent service, too! This wasn't just a stay, this was an experience we will cherish for life. I highly recommend Villa Del Porto!

The accommodation had an excellent location — it was easy to get around, and many of the main tourist attractions were within convenient reach. There were several restaurants nearby, all within walking distance, which was really helpful when we were hungry and didn’t feel like going far. What stood out the most for me were two things. First, the view from the rooftop terrace — absolutely stunning! It was a fantastic place to have breakfast and start the day. Second, our host's hospitality. He was incredibly kind and helpful with anything we needed, and he took the time to chat with everyone in a genuinely friendly way. Breakfast was delicious, and overall we had a very pleasant experience.

If I had to mention one small downside, it would be that the beds squeaked a bit. That said, we still slept well and found the room spacious and comfortable.

Villa del Porto is a hotel in a building with history - it is not newly built. It therefore gives a feel for the atmosphere of Kalkara. The room furnishings atmospheric with a touch of this historicity. My window overlooked the harbour bay and I even managed to swim in it in the morning. A kettle in the room and very good local tea. The fridge was also there, which is a must in this climate. Staff very, very friendly - from the cleaning ladies to the owner. The breakfast was fine, you could have a filling meal. Served on the terrace with a beautiful view of the vicinity and Valletta.

We were really pleased to stay at Villa del Porto. It was a pleasure to eat the breakfast on the top floor of the hotel building. There is a port in the harbour, so you have a wonderful view. The hotel owners were very kind and helpful. They gave us a lot of hints how to travel on Malta. Also, they let us in earlier and provided breakfast on the last day before the regular breakfast time. The hotel room had AC, a fridge and TV-set and there were power sockets that supported regular plugs, so you don't have to bring your own power adapters.

Yes, you can always find some minuses - the bathroom was always clean, but it was a bit cramped and required some gymnastics when changing clothes but that was the only drawback we could think of.

Really great guesthouse, an easy 10/10, right on the harbour with gorgeous views of the harbour, Valletta and the nearby medieval town. It’s located in a quiet area with nearby cafes, well away from the tourist hordes. A beautiful 15 min walk round the harbour to the ferry boat or water taxis for Valletta, and to all the restaurants and bars on the lovely next-door historic harbour of Birgu. Good quality breakfast on stunning roof, and delightful, helpful owner. The house is beautiful and spotless- we loved staying here, much preferred it to old town Valletta, thank you so much!

Calm and beautiful location. Far from overcrowded and noisy places. Just 3 minutes walk to Bus top in Valletta direction. The Bus stop back from Valletta is less than 10 minutes walk. It was a blessing to spend late evenings on one of the benches by the marina after intensive sightseeing tours around Malta. Room cleaned every day. Comfy beds. Breakfast with beautiful marina view. Great communication with owner.

Maybe a bit more diverse breakfast. Scrambled eggs or some sausages on demand would be nice.
