Great place to stay. There were eggs, toast, and bread to make yourself breakfast. Coffee and machine were also available. There was also great instant ramen and hot filtered water out of a cool machine. The bathroom has all you need, including toothpaste. There's also a hair dryer available. It's about 5 minutes from the main street and in a quiet area.

I stayed in room 105, which barely fit 1 large luggage but was furthestaway from the kitchen. I'm not sure if the other rooms are larger, but if you have lots of luggage, it will be a tight squeeze. The shower is a hand shower and mounted by the sink. To shower, you need to hold up the nozzle manually. To get to the toilet behind the bathroom door was also a tight squeeze as you had to position yourself in the corner and close the door.

Everything was great! The location is perfect — in Hongdae, close to both the metro and the train at Hongik University station. The host was super attentive, he explained everything clearly and even told us to message him if we had any issues (which we didn't!). The room is spacious compared to other places we've stayed in Asia, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is also quite large, and the AC works perfectly. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and there's a large fridge with a freezer if you want to store some ice cream for a late-night snack. It was definitely the perfect choice for our stay in Hongdae — we even regret not staying longer!

The guesthouse is very close to line 2, which is very convenient to visit touristic areas and go to the airport. My room, though a bit small (but I was travelling alone so it was fine), was very comfortable and clean. The appliances, kitchen, and shared areas were cleaned meticulously every day, breakfast was simple but good (the coffee machine is a definite plus!), and the owner is as friendly as he is committed to making this guesthouse a welcoming place for guests. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Seoul!

Super cozy guest house. We were welcomes by the owner, who helped us out with our luggage (no elevator) and brought us to our room. The beds are comfortable, and its calm despite being so close to the main streets around hongdae. Breakfast is self service in the main area from 8-11am, which can be heard from within the rooms - earplugs are advisable and also available at the property :) All in all my favourite place that we staid in in south korea!

Maybe it would be nice to get room cleaning after 3-4 days :)

Heima Guesthouse offered a safe and cozy space to stay at. The small bathroom has enough space and you receive a good amount of toiletries. Very nice room to relax and the bed is really comfortable as well. The location is perfectly set in Hongdae and I also liked the view from the balcony. You get so much for an affordable price. Additionally the water quality was excellent and everything was clean. Staff was so helpful and was even there for me after I checked out. Highly recommended.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the room was clean, very comfortable bed and a nice shower. Each morning there was a self serve breakfast - toast, butter and jam, cereals, eggs, noodles. Also very very good coffee. I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again. The location is also great, close to the metro, but still on a quiet street.

The room is a bit small, but that's common for Korea, didn't have any problems because of it.

Chirs, the owner of the accommodation is kind and super duper helpful! He recommends local places to eat and help me to get nail clipper in last minutes! Other than that, the room is clean and has everything that you need as a solo traveller.. simple breakfast is provided too..

The room is not sound proofed, as my room is near the common area, I can hear people using the kitchen. However, is is not a big matter, as the kitchen only open on 8am-11am for breakfast, and the location is in the quiet area in Hongdae.

Property is very near the Hongdae strip which are full of shops & restaurants. Hongik University station is also around 5 minutes by foot which has a direct line from the airport. Common area is very spacious wherein we can leave our luggages before and after our stay. There is also free breakfast which has a wide variety (ramen, egg, bread, milk, yogurt) which is plus during our stay. Chris, the owner, is very accommodating & answers to our queries. Will definitely stay again!

The room that we got was on the 2nd floor (technically on the 3rd floor) so it was hard to bring up/down our luggages but Chris and the others gladly help us with our luggages.

Heima is nestled in close proximity to the train station and walking distance from Hongdae shopping street. The location is extra convenient if you’re coming straight from the airport as Hongik Univ. is along the AREX line. Though in Hongdae, Heima is in a quieter area so noise is not an issue. The property is clean, both in the room and shared kitchen area. Breakfast is available especially if you’re on to go, and they allow you to leave your luggage before check in & after check out. The owner is friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond to messages and queries. Great experience overall.

Twin room can be quite squeezy if you have to open up big luggage. The shower head is attached to the faucet via adapter instead of being piped and mounted to the wall from overhead, though it’s not a big issue at all, would have just preferred not having to hold the shower head up all the time. Walls are thin and sound proofing not as great, just have to be extra mindful of keeping your noise level down while in the room or kitchen area.

The host was incredibly nice and helpful, and was always quick to reply to any questions. The location is amazing, super close to the busy streets of Hongdae, but no noise from outside. It was only a few minutes walking from the subway, which is great if you want to to see more of Seoul. Breakfast is simple, but tasty. The bed was really comfortable, water pressure of the shower was great, and both the room and the shared facilities were very clean.

If people are checking in late, or making food late, the noise from that can be a little annoying if you’re trying to sleep. But the host provided ear plugs, and mostly people were considerate enough to stay as quiet as possible in the quiet hours.
