The location is absolutely perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room's view was directly seeing the old bridge. The room was very clean and had enough space for two people and 3 small and middle luggages. The room even had a mini fridge. They were kind enough to upgrade our room due to availability. The temperature of the of the room could be adjusted and it was never cold or too hot inside. I'm not sure about summer times but in winter it was perfect. The decoration of the room also felt really authentic. We stayed in the hotel for two nights. Amazing for a short stay.

Bathroom was a little too small but for us it was really comfortable. The shower was big enough and it had an actual door instead of a curtain so the bathroom never got wet. The reception is not open 24 hours so they could only offer to store luggage until 7pm. We needed to store until 9pm. We talked about the situation and they solved it so we were able get our luggage at 9. We really appreciate that. Overall it is a great stay if you don't have accessibility issues because the property doesn't have an elevator and the corridors are narrow.

We visited Heidelberg on our way to Slovenia and booked this small hotel in a historic building in the city center, right next to the beautiful old bridge. You have to find the reception first, it is through a door in a corner by the terrace of a bar, on the 1st floor. Our room was small, on the corner of the building with a direct view of the bridge. The toilet is the smallest we ever saw. But that is not an issue for 1 night stay at a reasonable price. The downside is that it is noisy until about 2 AM as it is next to a narrow street with bars and restaurants. A drunk couple spent an hour sitting at a table at the terrace below (which was closed...) making loud noise. But, all that we could have known upfront and it is compensated by the wonderful location. Heidelberg is a beautifully preserved Medieval town. Note that the hotel has no facilities. Parking in a garage 200 m away, breakfast we did in a coffeebar in the street and there are plenty of places to get food in the evening.

Be aware the location comes with significant noise until around 2 AM. If you are overweight, the toilet may be difficult to access :-)

Great experience. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean , comfortable room with fantastic view of the bridge from our room. GREAT LOCATION! Close to shops, restaurants and right by the river. Breakfast reasonably priced. Great hot water in the shower. Nice coffee shop downstairs with inside and outside seating. They also served a few dinner / lunch items. Pasta was very good.

I really didn’t find anything to dislike

The room I got in the end was wonderful.

I had booked a single room with a view of the bridge, but did not receive that room. However, the staff was able to give me another room one day later, which was great. I hope they change their policy! They claim that the photos online were only examples, but some of the photos didn’t even belong to single rooms!

The room was cozy. Felt like being at home. The big wardrobe was very nice, too bad my stay was very short. The breakfast was continental, but with good selection of bread, jam, fruits and tomatoes. Each floor seems to have its own small breakfast room with big windows to the inner garden. A nice way to start a day. There were several female staff and everyone was very friendly and helpful. One of the ladies carried my heavy suitcase down the stairs. I would love to come back. I think a single room stay at this hotel would be recommended for a female single traveler like myself.

The hotel cannot do anything about it, but because of the good location right by the Alte Brücke, there was loud talking or yelling until midnight every night, and somewhat irritating. Because my room was facing this very touristic spot, I could not turn the light on with the curtain open.

This is my fourth visit to this hotel, although it's been over ten years since the last time. Not only do I love Heidelberg, my favorite city in Germany, the hotel rooms are simple and straightforward, the shower is roomy and the reception was very helpful. The location is at the gate bridge and easily walkable to the Christmas Markets. The hotel allows dogs and charges €15 per night.

Fantastic location, right next to the bridge, close to monuments, shopping, and restaurants. Decent size rooms (depending on the one you choose)

Downside of central location is parking… tricky to even stop in front of the hotel to unload luggage.

Location was right in the center of pedestrian area. Perfect for shopping, dining, and wandering around. The room was wonderful with our own balcony. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We were on the third floor and it was very warm, BUT our hosts went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and gave us two fans. It made a huge difference, and we appreciated their attention!

Pleasant stay in a fantastic location. The single room was comfortable with a lovely view of the old bridge. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light and noise. Overall a good experience.

Getting through the busy café seating at the entrance with a large suitcase was awkward.

The location was perfect, right next to the old bridge. The room was overall comfortable and we had a fan for if it got too hot (which we didn't have to use). The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The pillows were not very comfortable. While the location in the centre is great, it also meant that it was very noisy at night with the windows open.
