We stayed here for 1 night.  The check in with Alex went smoothly with his good English and my limited German.   The bar and restaurant area is very pleasant with a lovely outside seating area in the garden. There is cycle storage room.    We walked into town and back up the hill,  it wasn't too onerous and took about 25 minutes each way.   The room was large and comfortable and the washroom toiletries were good quality.   Breakfast was excellent with so much choice.   We would stay here again when passing through. 

The only downside for us was that there was no kettle or fan in the room. 

This hotel is just outside the town of Trier on a wooded hill and it will remind experienced travelers of the classic small German hotels of the past. It has been several years since our last stay here, and in the interim, the hotel has undergone a major renovation. Strengths of this hotel: location, staff, breakfasts, rooms, beds and opening windows. The elevator is also very efficient and effective. Parking is readily available and the hotel is only ten minutes away from old town.

There is no AC, though a fan and open window kept us cool.

Very agreeable hotel located in a beautiful wooded area on the outskirts of Trier. Easy to find and plenty of car parking spaces. Room was very comfortable and well arranged. The quiet location enabled us to have a very peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent. The receptionist (Angela) was extremely helpful, inter alia, giving us advice on where to buy the cheapest fuel (in neighbouring Luxembourg, just a 15-20 minute drive). We will definitely stay here again and hence can highly recommend.

Hotel was nice, outside of Trier but you can reach the center by a 25 min walk

We went to have breakfast at 8:30 and the were no more eggs or bacon. Staff saw the containers were empty but they didn't refill so we ate bread with ham and what we could find.

Cheerful welcome when checking in mid-evening by the same team that were serving in the restaurant. Enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, both had a good selection of dishes and products to choose from. My room and bed was comfortable and the smart bathroom had a heated floor along a good shower. Efficient and quick check out. Recommended.

Travelling through the area the hotel is ideally placed for an overnight stay outside of the city accessible from the main roads, less so for those wishing to visit Trier unless by car.

The staff were really friendly and helpful going above and beyond to help us. It is located close to hiking and biking tracks and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent choice at breakfast and the restaurant evening meals were among the best I have had on my trip and very reasonably priced. The rooms are a good size too.

Friendly staff. They upgraded our room from twin beds to a a more expensive room with a double bed without us asking for it. Modern bathroom with a big powerful hot shower. The breakfast buffet was very good!

The weather ;-) because the forest/nature/terrace around the hotel is best enjoyed in summer.

Nice location, in the moutains with a lot of green. Has a nice garden. Old but comfy vaction place, everything is quite clean. Beds were ok, just big enough for 1 person but definitely ok. Breakfast was ok, has all the basic stuff, not much to complain about.

We had a car but i think only downside would be that the hotel is a bit far from the city (about 3km) so it's a bit far to walk. There seems to be a bus station nearby the school though i don't know how often it comes.

Easy to locate, pleasant staff throughout my 2 night stay. Room airy with a small balcony & powerful shower 🚿. 20 odd minute walk down into city. Good parking for my motorcycle 🏍. Nice breakfast with plenty choice. Easy checkout.

Bed 🛌 was uncomfortable, first night sore hip, 2nd night sore left shoulder! Smokers talking outside room well after 23:30, should be a quiet time posted to allow people to get some sleep 😴. Towel could be better quality too imo.

A nice and calm hotel. Great staff, very friendly. The breakfast was good, as expected. We also decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and we didn't regret it, because it was excellent.

The only thing I can think of is slow wi-fi. Also, some people won't like the location (if you intend to explore Trier), but its quite peaceful with a forest nearby.
