The Old Brewhouse is a lovely pub with separate accommodation upstairs. We booked a meal (which we thoroughly enjoyed) for the evening when we arrived and then walked around Arbroath. We were fortunate to have sea and harbour views from our room which was nicely decorated. The shower was beautiful and the bed and pillows comfortable. We didn't book breakfast for the next morning which was available in the restaurant and could be ordered on arrival at the hotel.
There is flight of metal stairs with handrail up to the accommodation. Whilst it wasn't a problem for us, some visitors might this a problem.

This is the second time myself and my partner have stayed at The Old Brewhouse,we love this wee gem!!! All the staff are very welcoming and professional, from the chef and housekeeping to the bar staff and management....5 star service from all. The rooms are all immaculate and spacious with all the amenities that you would require and the location is spot on,situated at the bottom of Arbroath High St. right at the harbour front.Everything from restaurants and bars to banks and shops, even Pleasureland (funfair) are all within walking distance!!! The menu in the restaurant is not overloaded with options which is a great thing and the quality and size of portions are spot on all cooked perfectly by the chef and priced very reasonably!!! The housekeeping staff do an exceptional job keeping all the rooms spotless.
Honestly couldn't fault it.

Location, cleanliness everywhere including public areas, lovely large bathroom with walk in shower and soft white towels, lovely little place with lots of character especially in the dining areas.
Lack of space of any kind in our room for putting your clothes away, tiny hanging space with only 3 coathangers, some drawer space definitely required, room vacation time of 10 am we felt early as breakfast not available until 10 am in the public restaurant, what a pity as these 2 things did mar our stay although we felt both issues could maybe be fixed quite easily in our opinion. Also maybe a smaller offering of the breakfast, although lovely quality 3 sausages, 3 bacon and 2 eggs was a bit too much for our appetites.

Friendly and attentive staff, lovely location and lovely evening meal. much preferred the fresh milk option which was a nice touch as i really miss a decent cup of tea when travelling alot for work (frequent hotel stays). only disappointment was the late breakfast which was too late for me
Breakfast didn't start until 10am, my first meeting was at 10am and no other option offered which was disappointing as i was looking forward to a Scottish breakfast. other then this no other complaints

Lovely old building converted from a brewhouse dating back to the mid 1700s, with character to match. The location is superb, right at the bottom of the high street and immediately overlooking Arbroath harbour & the sea. The room was large & comfortable. The bar/ restaurant area downstairs is busy and obviously popular with locals & visitors. The food was very good. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive.
The car parking is small, awkward to access & has some hazards. At one side of the entrance cars have to access the area over a raise ridge of land. I accidently scraped the bottom of my car on this hazard. No significat damage but this needs sorting out....In my view the parking should be restricted to hotel guests only. Let food customer park in the high street! Also, opposite this tricky access to parking, people park cars on double yellow lines making access to the hotel car park very difficult. This also needs attention from the local cops. Finally, it is 'room only' as they do not provide breakfast before 10.00am as a extra. As single occupancy of a room is around £90 and double occupancy around £110 a night, this makes these rates a bit pricey.

We were right down at the waterfront; ocean waves, fresh smells and seagulls! We rented the twin room and it was set up for handicapped patrons so it was ground floor (no carrying luggage up a narrow staircase) and huge! Very well organized for anyone in a wheelchair, the bathroom was amazingly well set up! The Brewhouse itself had delicious food and great service. Easy access to any of the sights of Arbroath. We walked the breakwater after dinner and experienced a beautiful sunset, friendly locals and their dogs and incredible waves against the wall.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

It was in an excellent location situated right at Arbroath Harbour. We have stayed there before and returned because it is genuinely dog friendly. The room we stayed in had a dog bed, dog bowl and treats for our dog. We ate in the restaurant at the bar and our dog was given chicken and treats from the staff. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the menu had a good vegetarian selection. The room was comfortable and clean, with a great sea view and tea and coffee facilities in the room. There were also parking facilities. We will definitely be returning.

The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom compact, yet adequate. The bed was the highlight, comfortable double bed and with the window slightly open, it was silent other than the rhythmic rumble of the waves against the breakwater. I had the best two nights sleep I have had for a long time. The breakfasts were excellent, with good choice, local fare and generous portions. Very good value. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
The only real issue is that breakfast is only served from 1000 - 1130hrs. So if you have to get off early, you will miss the excellent breakfast.

Very comfortable room. Well appointed with sofa and chairs and coffee table, dressing table and mirror. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Separate entrance (from the pub itself) to the rooms was good to have.
Overall, our stay was excellent. Very small points were that a stool or table in the bathroom would have been useful to put toiletries on, and there was occasional fan noise (from downstairs). Breakfast doesn't start until 10am, which wasn't a problem for us, but good to know before you visit (a small fridge is provided in the room alongside the usual tea and coffee making facilities).

Location. Location. So central. Free parking. Easy walk into Harbour and restaurants. Dog friendly. Fabulous beach just up the road. Sea front property
Cooked breakfast no longer comes as standard. It is extra. Instead a packed cold breakfast is provided. The pre packed croissant was not nice and we got apple juice instead of requested orange juice. We don’t care for apple juice. May seem a trifle but add that to the unpalatable croissant and it’s most of the packed breakfast. The price we paid for the room merited at least a bacon roll. Our off road was like an oven and really needs a fan
