From the outside we expected just a standard, no frills inn style basic room but my god, we were blown away by the bathroom! It was a kind of suite. The room itself was compact, everything you need like a TV, kettle, coffees etc. and the bed was comfortable and the location was quiet even though there's a bar below. The bathroom looked like it had just been freshly done, like something from a 5 star hotel. Rainfall shower, massive bath and very modern and spacious. The car park has a code and nicely hidden away behind the property where we met the friendly resident black cat. I'd book this place again for the bathroom alone. Highly recommended for a cheap and cheerful weekend in the beautiful surroundings of Carnoustie and the east coast.

Breakfast was very good. You had to place the order the night before, but was easy to do and simple tick boxes. Then you just turned up at breakfast at your designated time and it was all ready for you.

Not a critism but if first time visiting, due to configuration of the hotel was a bit haphazard in locating where reception was (but staff were excellent and directed you to the correct areas if directions were required)

Room was very spacious and lots of light with the bay window. Staff alway very helpful and friendly always got what I needed ,room very clean and quiet . I had a perfect relaxing time on my stay, just what was needed, I will definitely be back 💯 Food was the best I've had too 😋

great 2 nights stay the food was excellent the breakfast was great value the staff were lovely and friendly and good private parking at rear room lovely and warm with heating on before we arrived in all 1st class capital.

because my partner is partially sighted it's a pity there isn't a lift but was assisted up stairs with luggage thanks for that.

The room served our purpose well - a bed, bathroom and free parking. The pub was a great find. Friendly locals and a billard table. We used the Corner in as a central point for our adventures to St. Andrews and the area.

The made to order breakfasts needed to be decided ahead of time. It was weird, but produced delicious food.

Excellent accommodation, with decent sized car park. My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly as usual. Breakfast is extra, but tasted beautiful and well worth it. They weren't serving evening meals the night I was there, so can't comment, but they have been excellent on previous stays.

great space had everything i needed for a couple of nights kettle was spotless, biscuits a bonus. black out curtains. nothing was too much effort. extra pillows. private car park good location. clean bedding, towels carpets can't fault!

little noisy from the pub in an evening, wifi wasn't strong enough.

Had a lovely weekend stay. Made very welcome by locals and staff. The weather was perfect and of course the lovely Scottish breakfast too. Recommended for your stay, with parking and staff who will make sure you are very comfortable. Looking forward to my next stay with the folks at The Corner.

Great information system, the accommodation was clean, quiet and we felt welcome. The receptionist was very nice, they served us dinner even though the kitchen was already closed. The beds were clean, we had a beautiful bathroom with a huge bathtub. Also clean and cozy.

Comfortable, clean and staff VERY helpful with my mobility issues. Bathroom was exceptional and check-in/check-out times are very fair! The local people were very friendly and protective. Would love to stay again.

Breakfast times were not clear and had trouble staying connected to wifi. - Sidenote :: We had trouble with our car breaking down half a mile from hotel night before checking-out and struggled to receive assistance after check-out in the morning.
