The room was great. It was new and had everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast was amazingly delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I had dinner and I am still thinking about the fish and chips (and a special mention for the slaw - excellent).

I had a slight problem with the entry key and had to use the back ally to get out. Not a big deal once I realized I wasn't trapped. Alerted staff and they apologized profusely. Things happen and those cards can be a nuisance, but it is really important to make sure they work - it would have saved a good few minutes of panic...lol.

Room was basic but nice and clean and adequate for a 2 night stay. Enjoyed a good cooked vegetarian breakfast with plenty of juices and coffee. The bar downstairs served a selection of drinks and food which was convenient as there are not too many places to eat in the small high street. The hotel was only 5 minutes walk from the Carnoustie Golf courses so very very convenient.

It's a sports bar. On the plus side there were 3 great screens to watch from. On the downside, bar area can get very busy and noisy when there are a popular sporting event taking place.

We have stayed here a few times with the kids. The staff are simply amazing the lady on reception (I can’t remember her name now) is so kind and she went out her way to make sure me and the kids were comfortable. Location is fab, breakfast really amazing too - the only thing I would say is the room we were upstairs is wasn’t ideal for the music from the pub till 1am both nights then people outside there after, from the bathroom you can hear every word the people are shouting over the music. My cousin was staying in the downstairs family room and it was a lot quieter. It wouldn’t put us off staying as the staff are so friendly and always remember me and the kids each time we go. The location next to the park, paddle pool and beach is ideal. The kids missed the wee games area this year think it’s being done up as they loved playing pool and darts. Thank you

Food at dinner and breakfast that we had was absolutely 1st class !! Their Burgers are the best I’ve had proper burgers No fancy towers you can’t eat properly!! Substantial but manageable but bursting with flavour fried onions wow !! Breakfast well cooked and important fresh cooked lovel

They were going through refurbishment while we were there but the disruptions were minimal

Lovely big room in the annex across the road from the main building with good wifi and facilities. Staff were very helpful, dinner in the pub was good, breakfast was fine being the typical Scottish breakfast. Handy location for the town high street and the beach area. And of course the golf courses if you are a golfer.

The staff were amazing. We were welcomed by the lovely Lynda at reception who was so professional, friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was immaculately clean, warm, comfortable and had everything we needed, thanks to a very friendly and hard working Ruth and her colleagues. The breakfast was just what the doctor ordered and more. For the very reasonable price we paid for 2 nights, this hotel surpassed our expectations and we can't wait to return 😊

Hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of Carnoustie. Car park around the back of property and easy access to your bedroom without having to go through bar or restaurant. Staff are super friendly and very attentive should you require anything extra for your room.

Service on arrival exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The room was nice and warm which was most pleasant as it was absolutely freezing outside. Room spotless, excellent facilities such as ensuite bathroom, fridge, TV, wifi and kettle with a good beverage selection. Cooked breakfasts were huge and freshly made to order. Selection of cereals and fruit juices also available along with choice of white or brown toast. Tea and coffee also on offer but I brought my own coffee down with me. The bar is excellent and offers a large drinks selection at very good prices. The bar meals are exceptional and the helpings extremely generous. Nothing is too much bother for any of the staff. I had an issue with my room key one day and there was no problem resolving it. Great location as well with ample off road parking. This is the second time I have stayed within the space of one year and it did not disappoint. Yes, there are other hotels in Carnoustie but I cannot recommend the 19th Hole highly enough. It was like a home away from home for me and I receommend this place 100% ahead of any of the other hotels in the area. I was back in Carnoustie due my elderly father's rapidly declining health and I had initially booked for 12 nights but when my Father passed away whilst visiting, I had to request an extenstion by a couple of nights which was absolutely no problem whatsoever. I even got to remain in the same room! It was just one less thing to have to worry about whild making all the funeral arrangements. My heartfelt thanks goes to Linda and all her amazing staff. The coffee at breakfast time. Having moved from Carnoustie to Australia twelve years ago, I have become a bit of a coffee snob! I do not like instant coffee so it would be amazing if you were able to provide a freshly ground coffee offering such as a plunger coffee or even coffee from the machine in the bar. This is me being very picky and not at all a negative comment.

Apartment was so clean and beautifully set out. We used the balcony a lot. Lovely soft towels and plenty of space.

The beds are not as comfortable as we would have liked and a couple of things missing in the kitchen but overall a good stay.

Great place for golf trips, 2 minutes from Carnoustie Golf Course and 40 minutes by car from St Andrews, really easy in and out. Great bar, full of friendly locals and golfers.

Nothing to really can’t live with, they where really nice and helpfull. Just small improvements - Better mattress and better way to soundproof the doors in the hallway. But nothing
