The staff were super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble at all. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure my stay was fantastic. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the local area is very well represented in the decor. There was a power shower which was so soothing, and the bed was amazingly comfortable, as was all the other furniture (sofa, chair) in the room, which is great for sinking into after a day of exploring Arbroath! The restaurant was very reasonably priced and there was a large selection of food available. All in all the hotel was very comfy, cute, and felt very homely - the sort of place you want to be, with its own great personality.

I can't think of anything I didn't like but if I HAD to pick something I'd probably say the floor was a bit creaky? But it's to be expected in an older building and it wasn't really a bother at all.

Staff were lovely, Ruz were well appointed and very clean. Small comforts such as biscuits/milk/decaffeinated drinks as well as standard caffeinated drinks will really appreciate it. The bed was extremely comfortable.

My only gripe is not one that is just about the old brewhouse and clearly they had made every effort to improve the situation – the bright green light of the fire exit signs required in hotel rooms which mean that you cannot sleep at all… I appreciated that they have tried to reduce the light, but in the room Bell rock the bed is on the same wall as the door and right under the light. Nothing they can do about it unfortunately, but I would ask for a different room next time or to doublecheck.

The Old Brewhouse is a lovely pub with separate accommodation upstairs. We booked a meal (which we thoroughly enjoyed) for the evening when we arrived and then walked around Arbroath. We were fortunate to have sea and harbour views from our room which was nicely decorated. The shower was beautiful and the bed and pillows comfortable. We didn't book breakfast for the next morning which was available in the restaurant and could be ordered on arrival at the hotel.

There is flight of metal stairs with handrail up to the accommodation. Whilst it wasn't a problem for us, some visitors might this a problem.

The rooms we booked were big and comfortable. There was a lovely view from our room and the accessible room we got for my dad was in a reasonable spot (a bit of a distance from the car park but this was OK for us). Overall the facilities in the room were very good. There was a slight mix up with the housekeeping whilst we were there, but the manager sorted this out very quickly. We would happily stay again.

Would have been useful to have a second key at times. We were OK, but there didn't seem to be enough parking available for everyone staying at the venue.

This is the second time myself and my partner have stayed at The Old Brewhouse,we love this wee gem!!! All the staff are very welcoming and professional, from the chef and housekeeping to the bar staff and management....5 star service from all. The rooms are all immaculate and spacious with all the amenities that you would require and the location is spot on,situated at the bottom of Arbroath High St. right at the harbour front.Everything from restaurants and bars to banks and shops, even Pleasureland (funfair) are all within walking distance!!! The menu in the restaurant is not overloaded with options which is a great thing and the quality and size of portions are spot on all cooked perfectly by the chef and priced very reasonably!!! The housekeeping staff do an exceptional job keeping all the rooms spotless.

Honestly couldn't fault it.

Location, cleanliness everywhere including public areas, lovely large bathroom with walk in shower and soft white towels, lovely little place with lots of character especially in the dining areas.

Lack of space of any kind in our room for putting your clothes away, tiny hanging space with only 3 coathangers, some drawer space definitely required, room vacation time of 10 am we felt early as breakfast not available until 10 am in the public restaurant, what a pity as these 2 things did mar our stay although we felt both issues could maybe be fixed quite easily in our opinion. Also maybe a smaller offering of the breakfast, although lovely quality 3 sausages, 3 bacon and 2 eggs was a bit too much for our appetites.

Friendly and attentive staff, lovely location and lovely evening meal. much preferred the fresh milk option which was a nice touch as i really miss a decent cup of tea when travelling alot for work (frequent hotel stays). only disappointment was the late breakfast which was too late for me

Breakfast didn't start until 10am, my first meeting was at 10am and no other option offered which was disappointing as i was looking forward to a Scottish breakfast. other then this no other complaints

"Dangerpoint" room was beautiful. Very well appointed; spacious; most comfortable; nice touches - the 2 free bottles of water, tea/coffee/shortbread, mints; lovely furnishings and decor; great view, sound of the sea lapping. Just wonderful.

I hadn't realised breakfast wasn't included in the price. Nevertheless, it was an excellent stay; and breakfast was delicious and full-some. Appreciating all who made the stay so good - tasty food and immaculately clean room.

Lovely old building converted from a brewhouse dating back to the mid 1700s, with character to match. The location is superb, right at the bottom of the high street and immediately overlooking Arbroath harbour & the sea. The room was large & comfortable. The bar/ restaurant area downstairs is busy and obviously popular with locals & visitors. The food was very good. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive.

The car parking is small, awkward to access & has some hazards. At one side of the entrance cars have to access the area over a raise ridge of land. I accidently scraped the bottom of my car on this hazard. No significat damage but this needs sorting out....In my view the parking should be restricted to hotel guests only. Let food customer park in the high street! Also, opposite this tricky access to parking, people park cars on double yellow lines making access to the hotel car park very difficult. This also needs attention from the local cops. Finally, it is 'room only' as they do not provide breakfast before 10.00am as a extra. As single occupancy of a room is around £90 and double occupancy around £110 a night, this makes these rates a bit pricey.

We were right down at the waterfront; ocean waves, fresh smells and seagulls! We rented the twin room and it was set up for handicapped patrons so it was ground floor (no carrying luggage up a narrow staircase) and huge! Very well organized for anyone in a wheelchair, the bathroom was amazingly well set up! The Brewhouse itself had delicious food and great service. Easy access to any of the sights of Arbroath. We walked the breakwater after dinner and experienced a beautiful sunset, friendly locals and their dogs and incredible waves against the wall.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
