An imposing house that makes you feel like you're in a Charlotte Brontë novel. Beautiful, clean, fragrant with a great touch of history and tastefully furnished at the same time. The owner's personal approach was amazing, she guides you through the house and explains everything. Perfect privacy and friendly people. Breakfast was a gastronomic treat. Fantastic.

This place is WOW. You drive up the circular path and see this beautiful house. Lisa was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us our room. WOW it was beautiful with views to garden, sea and overlooked village. Walking distance to pubs and restaurants. Beautiful tree lined streets. The bed was the comfiest we have slept on, the linen was so soft and towels fluffy. All important to me and says alot about the caring host and the experience she wants to give to people staying. Breakfast is a bonus. We only had one night but wished we could stay longer. It was the best stay!

It was excellent, well above what we expected, in fact on our second day we went for toast and cereal, that was enough, the portions were bigger than expected. 11 out of 10.😊

Location was excellent and Lisa had a great welcome and was always available to offer good advice on sight seeing and dining . We booked a room with a view over Carnoustie and were not disappointed - lovely to overlook the whole town and onto the golf course in the distance . Breakfast was lovely , pre-ordered from the evening before with a great choice on the menu - all in all a fantastic stay

We loved everything about Morven Guest House. From the moment we arrived until we left. A lovely, friendly welcome put us at ease right away. The house is amazing. Everything looked terrific and the room was wonderful. The facilities were great and wait till you have a breakfast. WOW. We can't recommend this guest house high enough. Give it a try.

We loved everything about Morven Guest House. After 4 weeks of travel around the UK and Paris this accommodation was definitely our number one. We were greeted on arrival by Lisa who was so welcoming and helpful. Our rooms were just perfect and we couldn't fault a thing. They were bright, clean, quiet and comfortable. Lisa was the perfect hostess and booked us into local restaurants on both nights of our stay, which made it so easy not having to search for somewhere to go. Breakfast was an extensive range of choices and served so efficiently. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend Morven Guest House to anyone who is looking to stay in Carnoustie.

The fact that we can't give this a higher rating than 10. It's just wonderful.

It is a beautiful house with rich history, refurbished thoughtfully to ensure comfort and needs of contemporary life, offering quiet and solace even though being close to city of Dundee. The views from the room are stunning, overlooking the town down below and sea on the horizon. As you enter the house, you are greeted with a sign ‘welcome to our home!’ which is indeed the case as this is where hosts Lisa and Graham live and they share their home with guests they host. Our interactions with Lisa were another highlight of this stay. Even before arrival, she sent us information about nearby restaurants for dinner. That was very thoughtful. Her warm and empathetic personality made us feel at home right away and her strive for perfection to ensure great experience for guests was palpable along every step of the way. She upgraded us to a family room because the room was still available. She mentioned that this is her approach especially if room is available because she wants her guests to have best stay possible. The family room on the top floor of the house really offers stunning views of the surrounding area. She enquired whether we needed tea or coffee on arrival and also when we returned from a delicious indian dinner at restaurant Ganges (10 minutes leisurely walk from the guest house, Lisa’s recommendation). We had several engaging conversations and exchanges with her. Breakfast was great, made with the same attention to detail. My wife had ordered porridge and Lisa wondered why she had not also opted for some fresh fruit to go with it. She insisted that fruits on the side will go nicely with the porridge which was indeed the case. During our two weeks of holidays in Scotland, we stayed at several BnBs, also in remote areas. We can confidently say that our stay at Morven House was the most memorable stays of them all, we look forward to returning here ourselves and spreading the word among our social and family circles. there is nothing that we did not like

Wonderful stay at Morven guest house with excellent hosts Lisa & Graham. & staff. Beautifully presented inside & out, with everything you need for a great stay. Sleep really well because of the excellent bed mattresses. Also the breakfast has to be one of the best I've had in a long time, great quality ingredients. We were up for a few games of golf & the location for the Carnoustie courses is just a short walk away. I would Highly recommend Morven guest house to anyone who is looking to stay in Carnoustie or the surrounding area.

The breakfast was excellent, it is a great idea to get the guests to complete a tick sheet for what they want for breakfast and the time. This avoids food wastage and the cooked food was always hot. Maybe being Scottish as I am they could maybe try haggis and Lorne sausages as a option.

We have no dislikes

This was probably the best Hotel/B&B I've stayed in. The staff were beyond exceptional. Extremely friendly and Reggie the dog tops it all. The breakfast was fantastic, for some of the days of our stay I had to leave early but as one of the options was for a takeaway breakfast, I was able to take a warm breakfast roll with me for those days and it was ready and waiting for when I left. The views from the location are also beautiful. All in all I would return again!
