Staff excellent Landlady was surperd Food very good

This is a locals pub All friendly Could get a bit livlely at weekends But have to say what I wanted it for was good value How these places survive is a miracle Big Function room catering for the locals I just hope that the amount of work put in by the landlady and her staff is not undermined by high costs etc. I wish all the staff my best

Staff very helpful and accommodating when requesting early check in. Rooms very clean and comfortable Very nice breakfast in pleasant surroundings

This is only a tiny observation but the stairs area leading up to the rooms looked a little tired and worn…. But once we opened the doors to our rooms we were pleasantly surprised because the standard of decor and cleanliness was very good indeed

Loved the staff loved the location, they do amazing food even tho I didn't eat dinner myself i was drooling at the smell of their curry. Breakfast was included and utterly delicious. I love Devon people they're so warm and kind

I hurt my foot in the night tripping up the steps to go to the loo sprained my toes ,suggest perhaps a little night light ,or glow in the dark strip on the stairs , I was too disoriented to find the light switch

Had evening meal which was well cooked and a good size portion. Breakfast, lots of choice and full Devon breakfast was enough to set you up for the day. Recommend the bacon, simply wonderful! Comfortable bed and room was clean.

Everything was perfect for an overnight stop.

The staff were laid back and super friendly and very accommodating. The dining area and bar were very nice. Food was exceptional.

The room had hanging bar and no wardrobe. Room needed update as did shower cubicle.

The salmon dish was delicious, I would have stayed another night if possible for a second portion.

Breakfast not quite so good, with tinned tomato and fried bread rather than toast as part of the full cooked version. Staff were very welcoming.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a lovely cooked breakfast. An evening meal was available in the restaurant if required. Free on site parking.

The room could probably do with updating, especially the bathroom.

The food was very very good the staff were very helpful and friendly the location was ideal for us as we were able to access all the areas we needed to get to very easily.....best Sunday lunch we had in a long time

Nothing wifi a bit hit and miss but not unexpected really so close to the moors

We were visiting a family member who lives in the village and the location was very close and convenient for us. The staff were amazing. Really friendly and accommodating as we had dogs. The food was fantastic.

The landlady was delightful, going out of her way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

The room was not terribly clean, but after a long walk, neither were we so this wasn't a problem for us.
