The hotel is in the centre of town with very convenient parking. The food was excellent, the staff very attentive and the bar boasts, who must be, amongst the most efficient and hardworking barman in the UK. Thanks Adam!

The room could do with a little attention. The blinds didn’t really work and could readily be removed without any loss. There were binoculars on the window sill, but they were broken. They could also be removed. No binoculars are better than broken ones. I think hotel managers/owners should spend a night in the rooms to see shortcomings that otherwise may pass them by…

The location of the Pack Horse was perfect for us - family just in the village. The room was very comfortable - plenty of space The ensuite bathroom is spacious The staff are very friendly

There is no food served at the pub at all Some of the blinds in the bedroom were broken The TV is extremely small The WiFi was turned off when the pub downstairs closed - Sunday, at 10.30pm The shower is very good, once you work out how to use it!

Friendly chap on arrival I like the location Bar downstairs Co-op and takeaway nearby I felt very relaxed in my room

I have stayed here twice although this room wasn't as modern as the other I stayed in I did l like the Vibe of it As an advisory: you can reach this location easily by car with no stress by planning your journey. If you wish to follow maps then you will end up going down country lanes to reach this location.

Really good sized room above a lovely village pub with lovely beer garden to enjoy a cold drink on a nice summer evening

No food available, not sure if that is a temporary thing or not, but not a big issue. Wonderful little fish & chip shop a 2m walk away and a Co-op and a pizza/chicken type of place so plenty of options. If I was being very picky, a slightly larger TV in the room would of been nice :-)

Location was really good and close to where we wanted to be. The room was lovely, really nicely done out and large and had everything we needed for our stay

There is a car park on site which was good, however, the entrance is quite narrow which can't be helped but if I had known I may have looked at alternative parking. However, managed the parking which was brilliant

The room was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very helpful and friendly. In the temporary absence of a chef we were welcome to bring food in to eat in the bar.

As the room was on the front of the property, we were disturbed relatively early by traffic.

I was welcomed and shown to my room, which was a good size, with a sofa and fridge as well. The bed was comfy and the building was quiet. There's a nice view of hills from the window.

I guess the bathroom needed a little updating but all worked well.

Lovely village pub, in the process of refurbishment. Our room was fresh clean and comfortable. The innkeepers and their staff were extremely pleasant. Good beer!

The restaurant was not open on the evening of our stay. The next day when we checked out there was no-one around at all - so no breakfast! The inn has just come under new management, so maybe these are just settling-in problems.

Staff very friendly and helpful as were the locals in the pub ..a nice homely atmosphere. Bed very comfortable. Very flexible when a meal was requested at the immediate start of kitchen hours for me to attend a meeting and arrived very promptly for which I was grateful. Good location for Dartington Totnes and A38 Will certainly go back again.

No food as kichen was closed but fish and chip shop 1 minute walk and a kebabery that does pizzas and burgers

Shower curtain rail needs extending just to give a little more space .
