All of it. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Location was excellent to get to all the sites, cafes, restaurants etc. Bus to and from the Bruges station stopped outside hotel door. I had been travelling for over a month in multiple locations, it was the most comfy bed I encountered. It had the charm of a small old quaint hotel but with modern facilities. The breakfast was exactly what I like. They gave you mueslis or granola, fruit salad, yoghurt, a bagful of breads / rolls, a bag full of croissants both plain and sweet, jams honey etc. eggs if you wanted it, a plate of cheeses and sliced meats, orange juice and tea or coffee. I love these types of breakfasts, rather than the big buffet, less waste and everything fresh.

Only drawback being an old hotel it had very tight, steep staircases and being in my late 60’s I find them scary but just took them very slowly and carefully and all was fine.

The hotel is perfectly located between the train station and the city centre. It's a short walk from the train station, you need to stay on the left side of the road and follow the footpath via the subway. Hotel Albert is right next to the Saturday market, where they sell all sorts of things including plants, and is opposite the concert hall. We booked a triple room for two nights and were given a kind of a suite with two bedrooms that share a bathroom. The rooms had everything we needed, bright and smart looking in grey tones. It was quiet despite the road outside. The windows are double glazed. We are grateful to the management for accommodating our late check-in (after midnight) as the first hotel we had booked cancelled our reservation due to our late arrival. Breakfast was great too and we had delicious fried eggs alongside cold meats and cheeses and various fresh pastries and bread rolls. The usual fruit juices and hot drinks were available. Staff are friendly, especially Christine who served the breakfast and gave us tips re sight-seeing . We would happily stay at Hotel Albert 1 again when in Bruges.

All was good.

Breakfasts were totally superb! Exceeded expectations considerably. Location is very good for arriving by car- right next to huge underground parking. It is also right outside the old part of town: close enough and no need to navigate narrow crowded streets. If you are visiting the concert hall definitely recommend to stay in this hotel. We stayed in the family room- perfect choice for 2 adults and 2 small kids. With 2 separate toilets we didn’t disturb each other sleep.

Sound insulation between floors is not great which is in contrast to how well street sound is suppressed. The price is a bit on the high side.

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of everything Brugge, history, restaurants, canal boats and World Class Churches. The remote parking is an easy 1/2 mile walk. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very nice. The location is right across from a central bus station but this is not really uncomfortable in any way . One consideration seniors should be aware of is this location like a lot of old properties in old cities have is tight spiral staircases which can be challenging to navigate. This situation may be able to be addressed prior to registration. I would stay there again.

We stayed in a thripple room which was perfect base for our time in Bruges. It was very clean and the staff were amazing. They treated us like stars and when we slept through breakfast they made sure we didnt go hungry by supplying a bag of pastries- which was lovely. The hotel is a great location, 2 min walk and you are on the main shopping streets which lead on to the main square and sights. We loved being so close that we could walk to the train station too. I would recommend this hotel to all

There were no negatives to mention!! Maybe some would find the room key being just 1 key and not 2 swipe cards awkward if there are multiple people going to and from the room. This was not an issue for us. Also there is no lift but its just a standard house staircase leading up to the rooms. This wasn't a problem for us as we only had small light cases with us.

Room was modern, large bed, best use of space, modern bathroom and AC. TV and coffee/Tea making facilitis, USB chargers. Location was literally 5 minutes walk into Brugges, 10 minute walk to the train station and free shuttle bus at the door. The breakfast was excellent choice of cereals, bread, cheese, meats, eggs, spreads, coffee, tea and juice.staff were fantastic, helpful, made you feel welcome, happy to chat and engage, very attentive. Parking underground nearby - 3 minute walk with case to the hotel. Parking was 16 euro a day, alternatively parking was available at the train station at 5 euro a day with free bus travel. We chose to pay extra secure car park and close to the hotel. Access to more than Brugge, we took a train Brussels and shopped till we dropped and a mere 58 euro return for 2 and we also went to Ghent on the train as well took in the ahops and sights. Anyway about the hotel and staff, location and facilities - FANTASTIC!!! Christine was great offering advice on where ro go etc and the owners mum also helped at breakfast.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff was very accommodating. The room overlooked the bus station on the street in front of us so there was some noise, but by shutting the windows, the noise level was cut down considerably. The breakfast served in the morning was delightful and consisted of hard rolls, several selections of meat and cheese and choices of yogurt and fruit.

I am a fresh air sleeper and had to have the windows closed to cut down on the noise level from the buses. Other than that, everything was exceptional and as advertised. The location was easily reachable by foot from the train station to spite what Google Maps showed.

The hotel is fantastic! It is situated near the train and bus station. The staff or family who run the hotel are excellent and always make you feel welcome. They are so hospitable that you almost feel like you are at home. My family and I could go to all the places in Bruges without public transportation. I stayed in a triple room with three beds, which was spacious and spotless. We stayed during Christmas, and the rooms were comfortable even with the outside temperature being 4ºC. The breakfast is quite good; you can take the rest of the bread they give you and have a snack during the day.

I liked everything about the hotel. It exceeded our expectations.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy and a good size. Plenty of wardrobe space and a good size bathroom. There was both radiators and air conditioning in the room, so made it easier to regulate the temperature. The rooms were cleaned every day.

There wasn’t a lift. However, the stairs weren’t difficult to use and the Manager brought our cases up to the room for us.

The location was great. Easy, pleasant walk from train station, even in the rain. (Once we arrived, they had umbrellas we could borrow). The neighborhood was safe and convenient. Located on a large square, and just on the other side of the square were the streets of the old town. So convenient. We were even more happily surprised to find that the next day was market day at the square, so we bought something and could take it right back to our room. The following day we happened upon a cute holiday show for kids on a stage in the square. The hotel has the vibe of a warm, friendly, family-run B&B. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful. He helped us carry our bags up the steps and made a dinner reservation for us at a restaurant. The breakfast room was quaint and we were served by a sweet lady who brought us trays of goodies, as well as eggs cooked to order. Good coffee. Plenty of food and friendly personal service. Our room was nice, bathroom was nice. Quiet and comfortable.
