Location can't be beat. Lots of parking. Staff very responsive and helpful. Booked a King room through booking.com, but when we got to the property, was told that room was not pet friendly. So they gave us a room with only 1 queen bed. The prices was a bit less, and instead of giving us a refund, we got coupons for breakfast that is normally $7 each time, each person. I appreciate the gesture.

The Booking.com web page for this Sandman should make clear which rooms are pet friendly. I found a long blond hair embedded into the bath towel. I am not blond and hubby is bald.

Easy access from Hwy 3, the courtyard and pool and the availability for snacks and coffee before heading out.

I was not impressed by the way the hotel automatically charges my credit card without informing me ahead of time that this would be done. I know it is just a “hold”, but I saw no mention of it prior to booking or when I arrived. This could prove to be very embarrassing if I didn’t have the available funds or I needed those funds for a purchase after the hotel stay. It often takes a few days for a hold to come off. Knowing ahead of time would allow me to ensure there were sufficient funds, use a different card or choose to stay elsewhere.

Excellent property and facilities . Indoor pool and spa, and very friendly warm reception. I checked in late night yesterday - I’m unfortunately missing her name, a middle aged white lady with blond hair , shellie maybe? She went above and beyond and provided us with an extra fan when we felt a bit warm after checking at late night and felt warm. Will come back .

I loved the location, within walking distance to main restaurants/shops, etc. I also enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi area which was well maintained. I loved the friendly staff and the complimentary coffee/fruit in the lobby area.

I missed a restaurant in the hotel, which would have given it extra flair.

We did not make it for the breakfast so I can't comment on that. Location was good. There was a small fridge, hair dryer, and toiletries, in case you didn't bring any. I liked the fact that there was a tub and not just a shower. My daughter liked that there was a TV. We both liked the fact that there was a pool and hot tub but we arrived late and didn't get a chance to enjoy them. There was parking in the back which made it very convenient to access our room.

The breakfast cost extra (they include it at some hotels). The walls are pretty thin because we could hear voices from other hotel rooms and/or in the hallway early in the morning, which woke me up.

Staff in the evening untrained the fact booking.com did not complete transaction prior to our stay. So was at front desk registering 8 people for over an hour especially since the rooms were booked back in jan 2024. There were silverfish in the rooms used condoms beside the bed the pool room was like walking into a sauna. Unable to use

Easy to find and in a great position. Big rooms and clean and tidy

The key cards rarely worked and had to get there programmed a couple of times and we left the “ please replenish our room “ sign on the door but no one ever came so we were out of coffee.and cutlery.

Excellent friendly staff made the stay exceptional. The clean and cozy room gave a great night stay. The pool and hot tub were great amenities. Breakfast was a decent continental breakfast offering a variety of items to satisfy anyone staying.

Our stay at the Sandman was great. Clean modern rooms, close to stores and restaurants, and good facilities with the pool and hot tub.

The breakfast was very plain and basic, I would rather do take out at a fast food restaurant chain.

When booking any hotel, you should be notified in advance, by hotel management if there are major renovations happening at that property, during your stay! When I check-in, I was told my "usual" room on the 3rd floor was "not available", due to the external windows being replaced. Thus, I feel I was "inconvenienced" by having to accept a room on their 2nd floor (i.e. and having to listen to "overnight" traffic noise from a nearby highway).
