Very enjoyable stay at Ellerbrook House, the property is well located on a quiet road with free on street parking, a few minutes walk into the centre of Windermere. Ensuite room was very clean & tidy and well appointed with coffee/ tea replenished daily. Very good breakfast options from a full English to rolls, cereals, roasts and preserves to set you up for the day. Rob and Becky were great hosts and knowledgeable about the area from trails for walks to bars and restaurants for later. Would definitely stay at Ellerbrook House again if in the area.

The people who own it are very friendly, extremely welcoming, and helpful, it's a lovely b&b would definitely recommend, will be staying again very soon, its situated close to windermere town and there's a bus route into bowness and ulverston aswell just down the road, from the b&b, there are plenty of places to eat and drink, there's a few shops if you need basics. Windermere is a lovely walk from the b&b as is bowness, there's a lovely library for the children just down the road from the b&b and plenty of places to visit in and around windermere, bowness and ulverston.

We had a wonderful stay at Ellerbrook. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bed is really comfortable and the shower has great pressure. Breakfast is huge and delicious with a few options. The staff are super lovely and helpful. The wifi works perfectly. Location is a short walk to the bus/train station and lots of food places nearby. Cant recommend enough, thankyou!

Nothing its perfect!

The location is absolutely fantastic - walking distance to the town and so many places around for meals/ shopping/ walking trails. The host was really helpful. Parking is on street but there were lots of spaces and we were able to park right infront of the bnb most of the time.

The room has a detached bathroom which is clearly stated on the room advert so we knew to expect that. However, it is very small and if you are on the bigger side, one would really struggle and that’s the last thing you’d want when paying £120 per day. If the owners could please add a picture of the bathroom to the advert, it might help people to decide whether they could manage or not.

Room was very clean and well-maintained. The host was very nice to us, and the breakfast was delicious. They have a lot of travel information leaflets at the entrance as well which was great for us to find our ways around the district. The location was about 5 mins away from Windmere centre but it was worth the price considering how quiet it was. Would definitely visit again if we have thr chance.

The two of us felt extremely accommodated by the lovely hosts, Robert and Becky, of Ellerbrook House. We had the best nights sleep every night we were there and a delicious breakfast each morning. The location was excellent with parking on the road out front. Within walking distance to the lake, with lots of restaurants of all cuisines on the way. Thank you so much for your recommendations whilst we were staying there and we look forward to coming back to the Lakes in the future!

Hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was great. Room was comfortable and warm, with good little en suite bathroom. Good access to public transport: short walk to bus stops (599 bus every 20min to Bowness, Ambleside, Grasmere, 555 bus to Keswick and Kendal at rail station; no opinion on the #6), and just over 10 mins walk to the railway station (3h 17m to London Euston via Kendal and Lancaster).

It was a lovely location to be able to get around locally and visit other places nearby and the outdoors up to the famous mountains. Accommodation was outstanding and hosts were amazingly kind and friendly and knowledgeable about the area and surrounding. Breakfast was delicious too for us to start the day. We would go back again to stay there and also told friends about it. A perfect & amazing accommodation.

The breakfast i had each time was on point, very good quality. Loved the full english breakfast and the baps they did. The service from the host was excellent and informative. The room was bigger than i was expecting, bed was very comfortable as well. Enjoyed the seating area and the TV when used.

The shower unit was very tight, hoping it would be a bit bigger. Could hear noises above me rather clearly at times which was a shame, probably thin ceilings. Had a pretty difficult nights sleep because of it.

Five minutes walk from shops and restaurants in Windermere town centre. Super comfy bed, hot powerful shower, very clean room and bathroom. Really good breakfast choices, with an excellent cooked option including local, and very tasty, bacon, sausage and egg.

Only minor, but the bedroom light fitting and bedside lamps were old-fashioned and unusual for the rest of the room.
