Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, there were several positive aspects of my stay at Le Bristol. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, which offered ample space for comfort. The bathroom, with its two wash basins, was particularly appreciated as it catered well to the needs of couples. The presence of a window in the bathroom allowed for fresh air, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The complimentary amenities in the room, including two bottles of water and the availability of coffee and tea, were thoughtful additions that enhanced the guest experience. Moreover, the hotel's proximity to both the train station and the city center was convenient, enabling easy exploration of the beautiful city of Caen. In summary, while Le Bristol had its drawbacks, such as the initial impression and separate breakfast charges, the overall stay was positive. The spacious room, well-equipped bathroom, and convenient location made it a suitable choice for a short visit to Caen.

My stay at Le Bristol had a few drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the initial impression of the hotel's location and reception was underwhelming. It lacked the immediate appeal that one might expect. Additionally, the decision to charge separately for breakfast was a downside, as it would have been more convenient to have it included in the overall package. These factors slightly affected the overall experience.

Nice little hotel with very friendly staff. Sound-proof windows (fri/sat evening some noise on the street), also with the system (metallic) blocking light. Location close to river and some cafes, restaurants.

The other room had some trouble with the sound isolation of the street noise

The room was comfortable and the breakfast options were delicious. Walking distance to the train station - about 20 min and not rushing. Also there are very good restaurant options within walking distance.

The discotheque outside my window was a bit loud, nothing bad just people having fun.

Parking is available at no charge, can also park for free on the street at front overnight until 9.30am. Staff were very welcoming. Facilities were good and breakfast was very nice and buffet style so plentiful too. Located in Caen so easy access to Bayeux for the tapestry and also the D-day beach landing sites

Lovely location with free parking. Short walk to the old town. Room was clean and really comfortable and no noise from outside. Staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Would stay again if in the area.

Great central location, easy to find. Small and comfortable rooms with a really good bathroom. I am not sure if they advertised parking but they do have parking at the rear of the hotel. It is shared with other buildings but it appeared secure. I only speak a couple of words of French and nobody at the hotel spoke English (why should they) but we worked through it with a smile. Main shopping area is only a 10-15 minute walk away as are the main sites of Cean

Hotel doesn't have a restaurant but the is a great little restaurant a two minute walk away. They also have access to Room Service.

We liked its location and proximity to the City’s main sites of interest and eateries. We also liked the Hotel’s secure car parking facility to the rear of the hotel.

The sound insulation was not great, so if you leave the bathroom’s sliding door open by accident, you hear every flush of the loo from the neighbours. You also can hear other people’s bedtime entertainment, which disturbs your own or your desire for sleep in their comfy beds.

Another warm welcome from the owner upon arrival; treated as a returning guest not just another customer; Room was adequate but not over big; lots of power points and storage space; Breakfast was fine - baguettes were some of the best I have tasted this trip; Location excellent

Housekeeping could have been better; had to go and ask for more toilet paper!

Nothing special but everything about it showed that a lot of thought and effort went into giving the customer a comfortable stay.

Staff were friendly. We were here to visit the British and American beaches and museums and the Bristol was an ideal location. A short walk 10 minutes to the castle, bars and restaurants.
