The location and apartment itself are great for a city trip/stay for your vacation. The location is next to a nice square, the city centre and the train station is 25 minutes of walking away. Comfy bed, a fridge, shower etc give you the perfect space to wind down after a day of vacation.

The lack of communication from the company that owns the building. I had a few questions/ messages that i sent through to them via the app and i never got a reply. It’s all automatic and can make dealing with any issues or questions very difficult. Not a big problem, but an important one.

I appreciate that this is pre arranged code entry and that there is no reception or staff on site. All good. However it is important that you are able to contact someone if there is a query. Two messages sent mid afternoon. One starting with lovely apartment and just asking about possibility of leaving luggage for a couple of hours the following morning. Neither were or have been responded too. Still on booking com. I also tried contacting them by their other link. No reply Just be aware that if there is a serious issue you will be on your own. This is unacceptable.

The location is pretty practical, within a block of the shopping and restaurant areas, within two blocks of major tourist sights like the castle, and a short tram ride away from the train station. The façade is attractive (17th century?) and the interior looks sleek. There is an elevator. It's an "apartment" in the sense that it has a miniature kitchen, so it would work for a longer stay. The price is incredibly low (less than $100/day) for a hotel of this quality.

People should know that this chain is kind of particular: there is no employee present most of the time. They send you a code to get into the building and into the room and you do everything yourself. Great for people who don't like dealing with other people, but not good for travelers who have questions and need help. You also can't just email them with a question: it would be good if they at least had an easy way to ask questions to a real person. There is a kitchen, but it is so tiny that I, a pretty thin person, had trouble moving around the bathroom door.

Amazing little apartment at an awesome price (was $65 per night for me in mid February), would absolutely stay at again. Location - Super close to everything happening in central Caen. Super quiet, couldn't hear anything from outside despite being a busy Friday night. Check-in: Property owners send very clear instructions on how to get into the building and into the room. They send you a personal code to put into the two entrance doors and the door to your actual flat. Not having a key to worry about keeping track of was really nice. Flat: Has everything one could need. Hotel style bathroom, comfy beds (+ an extra furry blanket in case you run cold), two heating radiators, and a fully set up kitchen. Great place to stay for several days or weeks.

I did like the code access method. I also like the location of the property and the underground payed parking in front of the building. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette was well equipped although, because of the size of the room you couldn't seriously think of cooking. The microwave oven was well appreciated. The bathroom is almost a good size.

The size of the room is minute. The elevator doesn't go to the last floor and the connecting stairs creacked like you've never heard before. For the almost exactly the same money we had a double sized room with more facilities in Rennes.

The SmartAppart is centrally located …close to the Château (5 mins)…trams-buses to different locations, incl along the Memorial Sites… and all main shops - bars - restaurants. Would definitely stay here again👍🏼

Generally all ok…but need to know that the lift is only up to 2d floor. Otherwise stairs to 3rd - 4th floors (while not too difficult…little problematic if carrying heavy bags upstairs !

location was perfect for our meetings with the Prefecture. room was spot on and had everything required for a good nights sleep. parking was available very close, in an underground carpark. the building itself was very clean and well maintained.

the only thing i would have liked would have been to open the window. epecially as there is the option to cook food in the room, which we didnt do, but i do like some fresh air when i am sleeping etc.

Easy to get in, clean, comfortable and location

Elevator was out of service, staff did not speak French or English or Spanish. We had also requested a ventilator on 2 occasions but to no avail.

Great location right in the city center with a Monoprix market one block away. Check in was via a code as was the room.

Because check in was via a code there was no one present to provide an help if needed. That's OK. But if you need some help maybe this place isn't for you.

Effective communication meant it was easy to access the apartment on our arrival. The apartment was clean, well-appointed and quiet at night. It is situated in a central area of Caen and it was is easy to walk to the main sights and areas of interest.
