Hotel is centrally located in Caen near the market place making it easy to access local bars, restaurants and boulangeries as well as the market which we visited on Friday. Staff very welcoming and accommodated our poor attempts at French. Room very clean and tidy, generally no noise from outside, with bath and shower over. Toilet area was "compact" but we didn't mind that. Parking available for limited number of cars, more cost effective than nearby multi-storey car park. Would definitely use again.

Parking tight at times, not helped by other residents parking across bays but hotel staff were great at helping us to get parked onsite.

Matthias was an exceptional host, very friendly, very helpful, spoke very good English and a great dress sense. I'm afraid I didn't get the names of the other staff who assisted us in our stay but they too were very good. The location is perfect, close to all the historical sights, town centre and great places to eat. The breakfast was exquisite with a wide variety of delectables. The spa was perfect for a couples retreat.

This one's on me as I'm certain if I raised it at the time, the team there would have been able to help. But the username for the WiFi didn't work. I didn't mind nor did I raise it as I had full 5G. Other than that, the bathroom in the room didn't offer much privacy. For couples, this isn't an issue when it comes to showering however for other things, less than ideal. These are minor though and didn't detract from a great stay.

When we checked out, we mentioned to the Manager (Mathias) about the very small toilet room and that it's the tiniest room we've ever seen in a hotel. As we're coming back 2 days later for one night, Mathias assured us that he would give us a much better room. An upgrade. True to his word, he provided us with a lovely room overlooking a courtyard in the new part of the hotel). Reserve your parking for 15 Euros/night. Very handy location - near the castle and all the shopping you can think of is nearby. No need to take your car. Big plus!

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights. Arrived tired and was given a room on the second floor (this is the older part of the hotel). Our room was quite a small room with a standard double bed. Being tired, I can live with that. However, the size of the toilet room was shockingly small and had to sit up straight (on the toilet) in order not to hit my head on the door in front! I am Size 10 and there's 5 inches either side towards the wall. If you're claustrophobic, don't close the door or better still, ask to be moved to another room. The Reception area smelt of fish dishes throughout our stay. Perhaps due to the kitchen/restaurant quite closeby. Investing in a good air freshener or ventilation would make a big difference - more welcoming.

Good location to downtown attractions.

The hotel was ideally located in the centre of Caen. Caen is very nice, with plenty of restaurants and shops. Driving in the region is good, with little traffic if you are exploring the D-Day beaches. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I arrived early morning from the overnight ferry and they allowed me to use the bathroom to get washed ahead of my afternoon check in.

There is limited car parking at the hotel, however there is plenty of street parking near the hotel and the car park tariffs are reasonable.

Present for difficult circumstances, the room was perfect for me and I have been able to rest properly. It was quiet, clean, confortable with space. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the "help yourself Muesli" part of it which was full of various little different fruits and nuts. In the room, I also appreaciated the perfect temperature of the fridge for cold water with the heat wave weather. I enjoyed the spa especially being alone on my slot in the pool with the water jets.

I would have appreciated shampoo to be available directly in the room. Only shower gel and soap were at disposal. I would also suggest to add toothpaste samples at disposal with it. Disappointed not having been able to test the restaurant which was closed on that period.

Spacious mansard room , perfect view , convenient location to spent some time in the center of the city. Really nice mattress , if you travel a lot, you know what I mean. My daughter spent one of her best nights apart in France in her neatly designed room (26). Restaurant is pretty nice.

No elevator, be ready to deal with your luggage by yourself, as the hostess is adorable fragile girl. And kind of a veeery odd and humiliating ( for me) rule about check -in deposit with two bottles of water in mini-bar .

Very clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent.

The manager of the restaurant was dismissive and arrogant placing us on the smallest table even though there was other better tables available. Making a point of menu being only in French. Maybe he has a problem with the English. Rest of the staff were excellent.

Splendid dining in the evening with very attentive staff.

Only 1 small criticism. I wish that the hotel's brochure had explained the difficulty of finding the hotel with the many pedestrianised and 1 way streets. Although I have a modern BMW and up to date satnav I could not get the satnav to find the street (not sure why) so a small plan supplied with the booking would have helped.
