Breakfast was excellent. Wide variety of foods and drinks, everything was superb! Location is perfect, within walking distance to most of the tourist sites.

There was dust in the corner of the room as well as around the cabinet. It was unclear what was complimentary (eg tea and coffee) and what was at extra cost. Guests would want to have a table near the bench.

Breakfast was very good; front desk staff, especially Rosa, were quite helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping did a super job every day. They were incredibly fast and efficient.

The fact that we walked around from train station for TWO HOURS trying to find the hotel, stopping to get information from at least 7 other hotels and one grocery store to ask for directions. NO one had heard of it or your street. I was beginning to feel like we had entered into a scam as this was the first time we booked through a consolidator and not directly with the hotel. I was not delighted with our very dark, small room with a miniscule bathroom. I do not recall that being the bathroom shown on the internet. I ended up being compelled to upgrade to a decent size room and a much bigger bathroom. I had no intention of spending that much, but felt we had to for our comfort.

Loved the location of the hotel, it was very central and close to all of the main highlights in Bergen. The room was very cozy, sheets were clean and linens changed daily. I especially love the soft pillows and simple Scandinavian / Japanese feel of the room. Breakfast was good with the perfect amount of options.

The only thing I would comment on was the elevators. I don’t know if it’s just me but I would sometimes wait 10 min for an elevator to come to my floor (I was staying on 7). My room was a bit small but cozy nonetheless. The other thing is when I first arrived I got lost looking for the hotel (turns out that the Charmant hotel also goes by Skoskredet hotel in their name and is actually on Skoskedet street) so the map kept taking me there and confusing me so I had to stop to ask someone. Important to note that this hotel is actually located on Domkirkgaten Gate (adjacent to the cathedral).

This hotel excelled our expectations. Located in the heart of Bergen with all the most notable attractions within walking distance. The hotel had excellent design and the comfort of the room was like nothing we've experienced before. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help and the breakfast was amazing. Definitely a hotel worth visiting again!

The location is excellent. Ultra convenient yet very quiet. We like the size of our hotel rooms. We booked two rooms, one of the room is decorated from fresh flowers from the florist next to reception. Not sure why the other room did not have one even though both are deluxe rooms. We like the boutique feel of this hotel and how green it is. A big shout-out to the housekeeping staff who were excellent in attending our requests.

The breakfast is ok, but for a five star hotel is not as I expected. We stayed 6 nights and the breakfast was the same every day. Consider offer more variety and also some bench space for us to place our plates when we get our bread/ food.

The hotel is beautiful and a lot of thought has been invested in the design. The first room we were given did not have windows that open and this is a big no no for me. I went to the reception and was given the opportunity to look at a few rooms until l was satisfied. The upgrade was not free but was very affordable. I must mention that the bathroom was beautiful and optimally designed. The location was walking distance from many attractions..The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant in the lobby is excellent. Last but not least, the staff were really great especially Mirete and Sondrei who went out of their way to answer any of our questions! Thanks to Mirete we went on a « Norway in a Nutshell » trip which was the highlight of our vacations! Thank you !

The only drawback is that although the hotel is very easy to reach from the train station, its name appears on a small golden (I think) on the left side of the door and you have no idea that it is your hotel. In addition there are several streets which include the name »Skostredet” in them so our google map was confused as well. I think that the hotel should invest on a sign.. I recommend that you look at the picture of the hotel so that you know what you are looking for on your expedition to find it! It is really easy once you know: You make a right exiting the main Bergen train station entrance. You walk a few hundred meters and the road turns left. You continue until you reach a little square with a church on your right and on your left is the street with your hotel!

The service by Sondre and Marete was truly exceptional going above and beyond the extra mile. I only had one request it was a quiet room and was in regular contact with Sondre. Upon arrival I was greeted by this unbelievable momento he had prepared especially for me, I was truly taken aback and lost for words. I have stayed in many hotels across the world, this hotel is understated luxury, it doesn’t have to shout out its 5 star service, like hotels in Dubai pretending to be sincere. This hotel by far just exudes quiet and classy luxury, together with exemplary members of staff who really care and you are 350 metres from the sea Port & main area. Also, the breakfast a choice beyond belief, so fresh absolutely amazing, I truly cannot thank you enough & celebrating with me my completion of all European countries visited, yes, saved the best till last. Thank-you 😘👍 Be assured that Sondre will guide you to the best restaurants and local well known reputable places to eat. Recommend the half day cruise & Funicular all pending how much time you have, I just wished I booked a week not 3 days to explore more of Norway, I will be returning, that’s a guarantee.

Absolutely Nothing!

The hotel interior was beautiful and very relaxing in it natural and minimal appearance. The breakfast had an exceptional choice and was delicious. The outdoor terrace was a bonus to enjoy drinks in the sun. The reception staff were extremely helpful. We were unhappy with the superior room allocated, this was a lot smaller than expected and for the price we were disappointed to have a view into a courtyard with rubbish tips. We went straight to reception and upgraded to a Junior Suite which had a seating area, walk-in closet and dining space. It also had a view of the church and overlooked a quiet street.

We didn't like the fact that staff ignored us during breakfast. There was no host at the entrance of the breakfast space and waiting staff never wished us a good morning or acknowledged us. It appeared there only job was to clear the used tables and re-set for diners. This was very different to how wonderful the reception staff were.

The breakfast was excellent; lots of choices, including fresh fruits. It was centrally located and still very quiet - even with the cobblestone street running past the front of the property.

The bed was incredibly low; I’m about 170 (5‘7“) and my husband 188 (6‘2“) and it felt like we were practically on the floor. Also there were no cups/toothpaste holders in the bathroom. I can only suppose something as mundane as that don’t fit into the style-concept (I would expect a 5 star hotel would have every convenience for its guests). Finally the very stylish room refrigerator was quite loud.
